I'm closing this topic.

Bustabit has been fun and interesting to see how everything has been working out, especially the social side during and 'the aftermath' when I stopped playing it.
Regarding my profits, I guess discipline might be a factor to some degree for it; though sheer luck would be more realistic and applicable  Smiley

Thank you.

How much is your bankroll? That's already a huge profit!

Initially, I started out with 100k bankroll. But as rounds progressed, I started to use 200k bankrolls after busts.

Here is how I work:
I aim to have my bankroll climb to like ~350k-ish and then do a withdrawal of 100k, so falling back to ~250k (-100k profit).
Then aim to let it climb again to ~400k and do another 100k withdrawal, so falling back to ~300k (at this point, break even: 0k profit/loss)

So everything after this point, is pure profit:
So after, I aim to let it climb to ~400k or ~450k (whatever feels comfortable), and do withdrawals of 100k each time and falling back to + ~300k, until I go bust and start anew.

Sometimes I go bust before breaking even, sometimes I don't. Such is the way of randomness.
Repeating the above and keep making withdrawals in the meantime during, is what brought me my net profits thus far. Considering being it gambling, I count myself being nothing more than just lucky  Smiley

I saw this strategy before because your graph looks familiar. I don't quite know how they did it but thanks for explaining it inhere. You better move this to gambling section. I may be following this for future referrence if I play at bustabit again. I always lose my money in it. What is your base bet?

Yes, user janggernaut had opted the same, to move this to gambling section. I'm a bit reluctant to do so because I do not wish to 'motivate' people, though that might sound kinda awkward and paradoxical  Smiley

I have no fixed basebet. Procon's bot uses a percentage of your bankroll.
The altered version on procon's I'm using from time to time, is doing a percentage of that percentage.

As you can see from my graphs, more than you get from you doing a signature campaign  Grin

You trying to outsmart a casino is exactly what they want you to do. You just chasing your tail and there are better opportunities to invest your BTC without the result being a big fat 0.

Who said anything about investment opportunities or trying outsmarting anything?

- "I like bustabit"
- "Off course it will fail at some point, I am not claiming any otherwise. It's gambling, whereas the house ALWAYS wins"
- "I am interested in how long it will last, up to the point where it will fail. When doing a couple of times, it should provide back some statistics for me, where I can adjust further tactics on"

I'm generating my coins through mining. I don't need bustabit or any other gambling thing for that to do.
For me, it's just fun and interesting to see how mechanics work; from the factual, statistical and randomness side, but also from the social side  Smiley

Would you mind sharing your script? Your journey on this site sounds very intriguing!

Hey lechatelier. The base of the script is procon's bot version. I'm using an altered version of that.

My 'journey' or 'strategy' is not primarily relying on the script, but on sense and speculating on luck. So long as I do not go busted during a session, which always will happen at some point, I try to make withdrawals during that session. I potentially could win way more if I didn't, but greed is the mother-buster of all in gambling  Wink

The first image, is the followup since the last. 1.5 BTC profits, ~1.2 BTC netted. Yeah.
Shortly after, there were 3 or 4 bust session, and the second picture is where I am now: Nearing ~2 BTC profits, +1.5 BTC netted. Yeah again  Smiley

OP, i think your thread is good, why not post it on gambling section? maybe many people will get attracted with your strategy  Wink

Thank you for your suggestion, I might do that.

In the meantime, here is current result. 1 BTC profit. Yeah.

Yesterday, there were 3 busts for the settings I was using. So a few extra lines of code has been added to reduce being unlucky, which now makes the script only use a certain set percentage of your bankroll to wager with.

For example, let's say you have a bankroll of 200k bits. If you set the percentage variable to like 60, that means the script only uses 60% of your bankroll to play with, effectively translated to playing with 120k bits. So if you would bust, you'd still be having 80k bits left to play with.

Here's how it's doing thus far:

So, did some digging in the history stats; adjusted the customs a bit, and now having the base multiplier set towards 1.05, and resilient set towards 5 losing streaks. Last losing streak < 1.05 was seen at game #1536263-#1536267 (moment of this writing, is game #2767178).

Replenished account with 200k bits. Let see how this turns out. Screens will follow.

EDIT: Having my base multiplier set towards 1.04, and resilient set towards 5 losing streaks. Upon further digging the statistics, in the near 3 million games run, such a streak has never occurred (yet  Cheesy)

Screen when starting to adopt:

Hmm, according to my calculations and the algorithm I'm using, my method should be resilient towards 6 losing streaks, which is sweet  Smiley
The downside however is that it would require a bankroll of slightly over > 7 BTC, which is something I'm not willing to risk/test.

So, I have switched back to my strategy when starting this topic, but now with a few minor tweaks. Here's the result when just starting it, until now (running roughly 2 days in a row continuously):

The difference in my bankroll, is due to having done 3 withdrawals @ 0.1 BTC (100k bits) each in the meantime, and giving away some bits left and right.

Until the rapetrain comes. I would recommend to not leave it running overnight even if you manage to run 3 hours for example without shit hitting the fan. Other than that it's just pure luck, as always.

I guess karma has a funny way to make herself known. Shortly after your reply, the train did come:
