It's very nice to look at people who have realized their dream

True and not only did she get to achieve one of her dreams but also got to contribute greatly in the adoption of Bitcoin. Some might consider it as something that others have been doing but you won't really be able to tell who she's going to reach out to with this initiative of hers. It might be those that have never heard of Bitcoin before might get a chance to hear and learn through this initiative of hers. So it's really a thing to look to.

Well am not suprise anymore, although bitcoin is currently restricted in my country but still doesn't stop people from trading and transacting bitcoin through peer to peer transaction in my locality. The way bitcoin is spreading all over in my place is just a matter of time before the government will succom to the current trend. I have come across so many small business enterprises that are currently accepting bitcoin and this has also help in the spreading of this wonderful initiative and also creating curiousity among people that are not exposed to bitcoin. So congratulations on your good efforts and dream achieved.

I am happy to see your dream come true, all this time many of us have dreamed and hoped that bitcoin could become a legal tender globally, I think the steps you have taken can be a great first step for the development of bitcoin around you, even though now you are only have a few bitcoin paying customers but I'm pretty sure if you have the guts to educate local people about bitcoin then over time you can have more customers using bitcoin as a means of payment, in fact, many of us here probably already use bitcoin as a means of payment but in my opinion it only happens in certain closed communities because of the rules for using bitcoin which are still prohibited by the government as a means of transaction, I hope you can also pay attention to this because after all if your country still prohibits the use of bitcoin as a means of payment of course you have to be careful.

Great that you have now a new payment option, but did you get any benefits from that? Did you win something? Sorry, I am not in your skin and I dont fully understand your happiness. I mean what has separated or stopped you from accepting Bitcoin as a payment, lets say a year ago or at the beginning of your business? Do you have many customers that paid you directly in Bitcoin or crypto?

I sell some stuff on facebook marketplace, I can go fiat or crypto. I see no big reason celebrating that "I can now accept Bitcoin now for an item I've sold". As a fashion designer, you probably sell items by p2p system. Doubt that you have registered as an individual entrepreneur, do all taxing stuff and etc. I think you have your business simplified.

P.S. Does network transaction fees bother you or your customers?

There is nothing better than having your dreams come true. I'll let you know my congratulations for it. I think your intention in allowing Bitcoin at your shop is to raise awareness among other people rather than for your own advantage. It would be nice if you made it clear that you take Bitcoin on every large banner so that people could readily learn about it. Op, you did a fantastic job, and I think this will really aid in the uptake of bitcoin. I have observed numerous forum users who have been doing this, and I believe they are all still doing it. I wish you success.

Man this is really cool and I wish that I had a lot more merit so that I could give you some (anyone with some merit, this is the exact type of thread that really deserves it, please consider doing so).

This is the exact type of thing that is going to help bitcoin and to help bitcoins ecosystem grow.  Plus as you said most people don't know what it is or how it works, this gives you a perfect opportunity to be able to educate others.  Bravo well done!
Thank you ChiBitCTy, people like you are encouraging, few people are saying I am doing it wrong with zero better solution from them, very soon I won't be the only one accepting Bitcoin here because the adoption is growing bigger in my country, the government is already trying to lift all ban on crypto that is what I read on the news, I will wait and see how this goes.
there is no need to be caring about what other said negatively because it is your business and it is your responsibility to what will happen in the future and having this as an option? best to just focus and try to lure other businesses around you to try adopting bitcoin and other crypto for better solution.
you did a great job here mate , listen nothing to them and just continue your adoption .

word of mouth is a powerful marketing tool when it comes to adoption. if other businesses will learn the OP's move and eventually grasp its benefits, for sure, they will try their hands also on crypto. it is just a matter of time before they will see the the advantages of integrating crypto in their payment method.
remember, people will always say something to the situation they are not in. you don't need to listen from other's opinion if you know they are not well-informed.
And this is just a beginning  in their locality  and surely many interest will increase for the benefits of Bitcoin and together with some altcoins that will also be beneficial for all of us here.
Looking at the pictures, you must be from Nigeria, the country that just lifted the bitcoin ban introduced in 2020. It's great to see bitcoin becoming more and more popular. Congrats on achieving your dream, and I hope by accepting bitcoin for business, your business will grow and have more customers, especially those paying with bitcoins.
Yeah the business would be blessing Nigeria with how and why bitcoin is helpful , I will love seeing this more to happen.

That's awesome! OP, what's your setup in terms of customers making payments? Mobile, directly wallet to wallet, no payment gateways?
I haven't backed read since it's a lot of pages but it's better if ever he's using a payment gateway or third party to just accept it directly like P2P transfers.
In that manner, he'll save fees since most of these gateways do charge a fee or a commission as not all service are for free. But with such direct payments and transfers to him, he'll get to save and add that to his investment or current holding in bitcoin.
Congratulations to you outhue and since it's almost a month that has passed, how's your business doing in terms of having customers pay your service or products in bitcoin? Is the demand just good or not that high?

There are still relatively few people who understand Bitcoin around and business owners are not as broad in scope so they may not be opening up other payment alternatives.
What is clear is that maybe the regulations in your country limit payments in other currencies so that even business owners who already have knowledge about bitcoin do not dare to violate the rules set by the government in your area because sanctions are usually imposed when they violate them.
Apart from that maybe you should also take part in the socialization of bitcoin in your area to accelerate the knowledge of the people around you like what OP did.
According to the adage "Knowledge is power" one can only stand tall if he or she knows the franchises worth to be fight for in the country. Some country have started to embrace crypto while some are still recalcitrant in accepting it. Following strict laws from the government against the norms put in place to regulate the operation of cryptocurrency is just all about ignorance and poor growth in mentality. No government that want the best for it's citizens will prohibits the operation of bitcoin or even go as far as banning it knowing fully well that it bitcoin operation and existence will profits every single citizens in the country as long one can catch up the activities going on in the crypto space.

Appreciate what you have done and many congratulations from me. It is very good that you have introduced the salary bitcoin transaction of designing sewing machine work.  Currently, it has been seen that many products are traded in bitcoins in various developed countries, where payments can be easily made in bitcoins. I think it would be great if such Bitcoin payments were introduced in all areas. and Bitcoin will create a huge platform on earth in the future in all fields.

congratulate! We don't have any shopping malls here that use cryptocurrencies for payment. But people around me have already started to understand Bitcoin. A friend of mine is also considering cryptocurrencies as a form of payment. Perhaps next year, bitcoin payment will be one of the frequently seen payment methods. If I ever come across a supermarket that accepts Bitcoin, I might try to pay in cryptocurrency.

in my country also it seems that no one accepts payments with bitcoin yet, but quite a lot of people know about bitcoin but no one has thought about it that way. payment using bitcoins.
and in my country bitcoin is only made as an investment. but I don't know for the future, yes, hopefully next year there will be progress, which is better. so that many shops can accept payments using bitcoin.

That's great news. I hope 2023 gives you a good amount of income in bitcoin as well as increase your customer base.
There are few more things that you can try. You put your tailoring service online so that you can get a global customer base.
You can also start your own brand by stitching your own designs and then put it for online sale using bitcoin.
You can also partner with other brands which are using bitcoin.

It's nice to see Bitcoin adopted in local business. I hope the adoption of Bitcoin will bring more customers from outside the city you are living in or even from outside your country, actually this is one of Bitcoin benefits, some countries have problems regarding money transfers over the glob, so the adoption of Bitcoin could help you advertise your products outside your region with no worries about how you can get paid.

Congratulations on your achievement! Opening a store is already a success, and you're promoting bitcoin, great job! We should learn from you. People around me think that the value of Bitcoin will definitely increase, and they are unwilling to use Bitcoin for payment. Of course I might be curious to try using bitcoin for payment if I ever came across it, but not as my primary payment method.

Glad to see that there are more people in all over the world are now starting to accept bitcoin as a payment. What a move by @Outhue, I'm happy that you already reached your dream by accepting bitcoin in your current business. I have online business and I only accept cash and some of online payments that's been regulated by the government so meaning there is no crypto involvement because of the platform that I am using. In the near future I want to hire a dev that can do it where I the platform that I am using can accept bitcoin.

The OP is so lucky because their country is crypto-friendly where they can fully use and accept it. In my country, only semi-friendly because the reputation of crypto has been tarnished by scammers all over the country and that is the reason why only few businesses are accepting crypto as payment.

According to website sources for bitcoin adoption statistics have increased since 2019 even though the Nigerian government has not legalized bitcoin in the country for any purpose, so it is not surprising that after the country enacted a new law for bitcoin licensing the statistics of bitcoin users in Negeria are increasing.

source : statista.com

I appreciate that he has contributed to the growth of bitcoin adoption in his country, looking forward to more and more businesses adding the option of accepting bitcoin payments in every market or paying for services and salaries.

First of all,  the statistics of bitcoin adoption I know has never been in decline. Since the inception of bitcoin globally, the adoption statistical outcome of bitcoin has been on the increase year to year as many are onboarded in various nation's. Nigerians are very fast in getting inclined with new technologies as it benefits them irrespective of any government restrictions placed.  They have been on the adoption and enlightenment campaign which has yield results so far. The exercise has made many Nigerians to knowing and having knowledge about bitcoin and how it works.  So going by your statistics, I am not surprised that there has been increase in adoption  percentage over the years as a result of the exercise. This speaks volume as I see in the nearest future, the statistics would be far higher than this results you have uploaded here.

What are your challenges while carrying on this process, do you think many women who came to sow their dresses knew about bitcoin?
And if yes how do you think they could maximumly utilized the effectives of bitcoin at large, because I strongly believe this is just a tailoring shop where it is mostly for lady's and from many post I have red here, including @Satoprincess who started accepting bitcoin as means of payment in beauty saloon also narrated how she planned it. She wouldn't mind began to teach them how it works.
Then I asked as well if you had any plans to teach them lesson about usefulness of bitcoin and security aspect of it?

Don't find my post to be very annoying rather just wanting know how you plan to manage it if such happened or if they all indicate interest to learn about bitcoin.

OP is from Nigeria, and their country has a bitcoin-friendly stance, the government has also lifted the bitcoin ban. Bitcoin is growing rapidly in Nigeria as well as in other African countries. Once they see the benefits of bitcoin, you don't have to teach them, they will figure it out independently. OP's luck is living in a country where bitcoin has just been unbanned, and their economy is struggling, so bitcoin users are increasing day by day. People who don't know about bitcoin will soon find it on their own, even without any instructions, as long as they see its benefits of it.
