Kids of nowadays understand money fast, not because they are endowed with it but because they know money is the only way they can buy lollipops and popcorn, but that's all they know, when it comes to finance and investment it feels wrong teaching them because they are not up to the stage yet..

Cartoon is good but I can't figure a way to make such cartoon interesting, even if I have to create one for kids? But what is the end goal for doing this? They still need to grow up first and learn about money/financial freedoms, that's the best time to teach about Bitcoin.

I never became anything that my parents wanted me to become, they forced a few things on me but it didn't work, I still ended up doing my things, my way my world, and I am glad it didn't end in shame.

What are your views on this.Let's discuss.

It is good to see posts like this because as encouraging each others to teach our children about how and what bitcoin to do in their like specially in their future , 10 and above years to come.

But what I don't like is bribing our kids just to do watching , because i think that is not necessary . if they will enjoy watching the said cartoons then there is no need for prize each watching.

and also we must accompany them while watching so we can explain the importance of what they are watching.

Underestimate- nothing
That is the closest best we could do for the kids and let them understand how it works or what it is. One thing about the today’s generation, they learn very fast! They are techies and they love to have their phones with them whenever they are having dinner or lunch or if they are crying!! I know not the best practice but it is the new normal for today’s generation and today parents too. If anyway they are going to watch it then it’s best to have cartoons that are knowledge based and teach something to them all the time. A cartoon series based on Bitcoin being the lead character is definitely breakthrough. We just need budget and bitcoin friendly director to get started.  Smiley

That is true, children learn very fast, and the fact that they are still children is still there, in terms of making decisions children can be reckless I think emotional maturity should be considered, even if you want to introduce them to Bitcoin, the fact that they are intelligent there age should also be considered, I don't think I have come across any age requirement for going into bitcoin but as for me personally, I will consider the age before introduction. okay, another point is an introduction before the operation is the best and the idea you gave about using cartoons and comics will help they gain the knowledge gradually then when they get to a certain stage they can start operating in the network and getting information from does knowledge will make it easier for them to operate. with ideas like this, they will not find it boring at all, since children love pictures.

Cartoons and children are one thing that is difficult to separate, children really like to watch especially those that smell of cartoons. Introducing Bitcoin through cartoons is one of the most effective ways, especially since there are prizes in the form of something they like. Their imagination will form slowly even though they still don't fully understand its functions and uses, they will be increasingly curious about Bitcoin, especially as it can be used as a medium of exchange which is almost similar to fiat money which they often use when buying snacks.

I like the way you apply it, there is no element of forcing children to be what you want. Gradually they will get closer to Bitcoin if you consistently educate them on the functions and uses of Bitcoin as a whole.

Indeed, teaching kids bitcoin is always the worst idea I've ever seen. Why many parents can force their children to learn unnecessary things at their age? After all, bitcoin is just money, it is not a sublime knowledge or a necessity that anyone should have from an early age. Why not give them a happy childhood and teach them how to behave with people, how to be a better person than just focusing on bitcoin, bitcoin? What effect will that have?
People are forcing their kids to learn many unnecessary things nowadays. They see online that some extraordinary kids can solve math problems at four or five. Some other kid invented something at age eight. Now, people want their kids also should do something extraordinary. What they don't understand is everyone cannot be Einstien. Kids should enjoy their time, and they will learn many things by themself.

It's true sometimes you have to teach them. Do what you like, and your kids will follow you. If parents care about privacy, their kids will learn from their parents. The kid will ask you eventually, "Dad, what is it?". No one should force their kids to learn something that is not mandatory.

Well, there's nothing wrong with teaching Bitcoin to children who have started to understand the concept of money and saving. Usually it is at the age when children have started attending elementary school. But it still has to be in a unique way and in no way interfere with children's playing and learning time at school.

But if we are parents and do bitcoin trading and transactions quite often, one day the children will see us and usually when they see something new, they will be curious and start asking questions. So maybe that's when it's the most appropriate time to start talking about bitcoin. Of course, it must be with allusions or parables that are easily understood by children.

Why is it even necessary to get the kids to learn Bitcoin at such a small age? Let them grow up a little bit, it's not like they will start using Bitcoin when they are 10 because they need to study and have a good base first, let them become teenagers, and then you can ask them to learn about it any way you deem fit for them, at this stage of their lives, they don't really need to learn about Bitcoin or anything related to finance and work and investments, etc.

I would never get my kids into learning about Bitcoin even if I know they can grasp the idea and understand how things work, it's like forcing them to do something that they don't need to nor they have to, let them do what they need to do at their age and leave these things for when they are grown ups.

Maybe I also agree with you. we have to introduce it early on and one of the media campaigns like the OP said by watching a short film. if for children the genre is cartoon. But of course we have to accompany and choose good shows according to the age of the child. Yeah. I see that OP is good at reading needs and juxtaposing them with gifts they like too without losing their golden age period, of course. If they are already a teenager, it might be very easy to understand it again.

Because it uses cartoon film media, I assume the age of the child is under 7 years. I don't understand why you guys need to teach bitcoin to such a small kid. They don't understand money, let alone bitcoin and how to use it. What do you expect?

I think you guys don't need to rush, it's better to teach children to read and write, I think it's more useful. Wait until they are at least 15 years old so they can get to know bitcoin, teach them until they are 17 years old, maybe they already understand bitcoin. That's a good age.

Indeed, the age limit always sounds confusing and becomes a matter of debate because it is not yet the time. Well, what I'm taking an important point here for the future is Why should parents start now? If not, our children will be in the same uncomfortable position one day, especially if they are bullied by their friends due to the fact that they do not understand the procedures for using crypto currency payments. For example, when shopping, the payment may use BTC at that time.

Yes. We are here, as parents, we must play a role and have the power to stop this cycle of financial illiteracy and pass it on to the next generation. see The impact when they are 18 years old. Starting to shop online, credit card offers and so on will attract them due to environmental factors.

The method you mention could be used with children at an early age, it would be an idea that motivates them in a certain way to motivate them little by little, I could also add that some children who do not like cartoons very much, opt for the use of comics or even manga, currently they are seeing a lot of this type, even in a thread here they commented on the same thing... On the other hand, I think that motivating the inclusion of Bitcoin as teaching in schools could be a great complete that serves as a support for what is taught at home, with that Children from a very young age would have notions of financial education, which they will reinforce over time.

I know that it is not too advisable to teach kids Bitcoin, but you can still teach them if you want them to have the idea of Bitcoin. I want to share my strategy on how to teach kids bitcoin and you can try it. Especially, those of us that want our kids to know what Bitcoin is or have a basic knowledge of Bitcoin. If you have a cartoon on Bitcoin, you can put it for them to watch and after watching, ask them if they enjoyed it.

Op,  it would have been nice if you had come clear with an age range of the kids you are talking about because as you mentioned kids watching Bitcoin cartoon videos, meaning it is little kids which I don't think is necessary for children within that age range to know of Bitcoin now except for the kids above 12 years.
There should really be an specific age before you would consider on teaching up your kids, yes the earlier the better but you should really be that mindful or thinking that if these things are something that stressful
to your kids or not because teaching them on something like crypto on young age would really be that somewhat technical. This is why i do prefer on telling my kids on the time that theyve been wary about finances because on the time that they would be asking something in correlation to this, then this would be the best or perfect time for you to side explain about Bitcoins existence and in crypto in overall.

Telling them while they are young is indeed that useless because they've been arent aware on how this world works when it comes to monetary system or other connected things. Therefore,
explaining to them wont really be having no sense since it wont really be absorbed it out and you are just basically wasting your time. Just let your kids cherish out their childhood
moments because there's a perfect time on explaining Bitcoin or crypto into them.

The Need to Teach Kids About Bitcoin I don't understand why everyone wants to teach kids about Bitcoin. What do you do by teaching children about Bitcoin from an early age? Everything has a certain age, beyond that age if you want to do those things then the results of those things will never be good. It is the duty of every parent to ensure that children have a good childhood where if you try to teach them about Bitcoin, it will disrupt their normal growth.

Maybe the Op thinks if his/her children fails to know about Bitcoin in their early they'll never get to learn it again.

Like I said in my previous post, there are several things that you could teach your children that will help them more than Bitcoin.
Btw, what do you want to teach your kids about Bitcoin how to buy Bitcoin? How to build their own Blockchain? How to send coins? We are already in the age of technology so one way or another they'll surely get to know about Bitcoin so you limiting them from doing other things just so they can learn what your learnt is not healthy and I'll never advice any parents to do that to their kids, let them enjoy their childhood when it's time for them to learn they'll surely do that.

BTC to the MOON in 2019
Nice idea but I think like me, my own kids also have choices on the type of cartoon that interest them and I for one can't tell them to watch a particular type of cartoon during some specific time as you know they are still kids, I just let them go with what they love best and enjoy their young age. Kids are very delicate and I feel learning about Bitcoin in their young age isn't the right time but of course that's my own personal choice
yes, they will but at least giving them an idea about Bitcoin is not a bad thing to do, at least we are opening some ideas and new things to their mind who knows, they show some interest in it in the future. Because Teaching is not all about wanting them to invest but this is about letting them know the current situation and new technology that we have these days. And whether it was beneficial to them or not, they'll be the ones to decide someday.

We have different way to teach our kids with Bitcoin because each kid has different lifestyle. The cartoon idea might work for you but to the others are not because not all kids like cartoon. That's why for me the best way to teach them Bitcoin is the thing that's what they like. Example if they like playing basketball, you ask him that you give reward if ever he shot the ball to the ring. At first the reward is candy, Ice cream, or expensive things and then when the right time has come change the reward to Bitcoin. There's a higher chance that he will ask you what it is because he is wondering why you change Bitcoin as a reward. By the way, really appreciate of what you're doing but the most important here is not to force kids to know Bitcoin.

I would rather teach my future child about being financially literate first before introducing him or her to Bitcoin that kids can understand.

Well said, I also think that teaching kids to be financial literate is way better than teaching them about Bitcoins.  Since kids will get more benefits from being financially literate than knowing about Bitcoin. Besides having financial litteracy will make a person have a better decision when it comes to finances and that includes Bitcoin too.

I also think that letting them know about Bitcoin is enough to make them aware that Bitcoin exists and since they are kids, they should be more focus on their studies and normal activities.  Bitcoin or cryptocurrency can wait until our kids are old enough to understand them thoroughly.

I'm uncertain whether this strategy effectively teaches kids about Bitcoin, as they might simply enjoy the cartoons without grasping the concept until they mature. The preferable approach is not to impose Bitcoin learning on them. Instead, begin by sharing your personal experiences and stories related to Bitcoin. Once they start comprehending the basics, gradually delve into more in-depth teachings. This way, I believe they will naturally develop an appreciation for Bitcoin

I think this is some kind of manipulation of your kids. Every choice should be their own. And if you are child is still watching cartoons, they are not ready for Bitcoin yet. I think it is better to wait till they are teenagers are know what they are doing as well as have their own choice on what they are willing to learn. Bitcoin is not something like fiat money. Here's a piece of paper, this is worth that much and you can buy this stuff with this. This is what fiat money is to kids and they can learn it at an early age. But Bitcoin is much more complicated.

Don't teach Bitcoin to kids. Teach what it stands for. The concept of Bitcoin should be a subject to teach to kids, not the whole complicated thing. It should be an option from which they can choose if they wish to. Not a mandatory choice IMO. That way, when they are capable to learn complicated things, they can choose them and work on them in the future. But it is my personal opinion. If you think it is best for your kids to learn now, then do it on your own.
