It's been nothing but JOY through out yesterday for me, as I was able to officially buy my first Bitcoin for HODL. I have been really interested in cryptocurrency lately but had no single clue of how it really works.
I then met with a friend, not just friend but a very long time friend, who have been thriving in the crypto space for guidance, and he kept giving me series of web links to go study and get back to him when done.
This is one thing I'm not really good at, which is reading for long and even writing.
I tried twice but couldn't and kept going back to him to just summarize everything and show me how to start making a living out of Bitcoin just as he was doing, but he kept referring me back to the links he sent and each time he did, I really feel bad and thought he never wanted to help me.

Two months back I took the challenge and read all he gave to me and not just once but about thrice this time, got all I needed and went back to him, but on a different note and then he told me, "WE DON'T CUT CORNERS, TO MAKING A LIVING GENUINELY." I felt that really hard and one thing he always kept singing was that I always buy Bitcoin at every opportunity that I have and today I'm so glad to announce that I was able to buy about $60 worth of Bitcoin, glad the journey of a thousand mile has began on the 28 of October 2022, And I hope it leads to greater opportunity in the industry, as I'm willing to learn ways.

Please join me celebrate my little beginning as I hope to update the community about my progress.

Congratulations on coming to the encrypted world and getting in touch with Bitcoin. I hope that during this journey, you can enjoy happiness and don't touch the secondary market transactions of altcoins. If you do, you will not be in a good mood every day. No matter what your purpose is, you will gain a lot of professional knowledge in the forum and have a deep understanding of what is the unique charm of the encrypted world. I wish you a pleasant trip.
Thank you so much and I'm glad to associate with members of this great forum community, it's been an amazing journey so far and I really don't see any regrets so far

Congratulations for your successful purchased of cryptocurrency and especially bitcoin, because i know that many people currently love Bitcoin but they don't have the knowledge or the access of making bitcoin transaction to be successful, since you have gotten the ideas of purchasing bitcoin to the extend of holding, i think it's a welcomed development, i applaud you by embracing cryptocurrency and especially bitcoin.

I love your courage. But first of all you are welcome to the world of Bitcoin. Your financial freedom is guaranteed but hard work is involved and also patient is one of the highest thing in Bitcoin market. From the story not that your friend was not willing to teach you but you were also not really ready at that time. You were reluctant to learn as well. But now that you shown seriousness he had also helped you out again, so you can't really say he wasn't ready to teach you. The first anxiety is always wow!!! But please put it at the back or front of your mind that there is risk of buying Bitcoin. Because now that you bought it at the rate of 20k$+ and in the process of hodling it and price comes below your expectation and you need cash to solve some issues, what will you do? Buying Bitcoin is good but the time of selling it is another thing need to be considered.
Congratulations for your first purchase of Bitcoin.

Congratulations mate on officially buying and purchasing your first Bitcoin and I hope it wasn't a hard one for you to understand. What's follows up is for you to learn how to store those coins very well from friends and other external scams. Some years ago Bitcoin was worth over $1 but now that amount has cost millions of $. Those Bitcoin bought by you will be worth 10 times what they are currently.
So make sure you make use of time storing them very well for the future

The best time is when you decide to invest and congratulations @OP on your first purchase of bitcoin as this will be beneficial for you in future. You have accumulated them at low price but I would say hold long term if you are expecting some returns otherwise the short term volatility will affect you.

Congrats and it isn't too late to get into the market. With cryptocurrency what I've learnt, decide yourself and go for it. Automatically you'll experience the goodness out of the market. Maybe entering the market at the wrong time could bring unexpected loss, if you have the patience it can be overcome with ease. Buying cryptocurrencies have been made easier, same as that we need to make up our minds looking for profit without deadlines.

Bitcoin will never be too late, despite many people saying that bitcoin has increased hundreds of thousands of times and is no longer a profitable investment, but if we look at the capitalization of bitcoin compared to gold or other assets bitcoin is really small compared to them. The chance for bitcoin to hit a few hundred thousand dollars or 1 million dollars is still there if we are patient enough to hold it for as long as possible.

I don't think it's wrong to enter the market during bear season, on the contrary this is a better time when you can buy bitcoin for much cheaper than many others.

I guess that you are not completely uneducated to say that you are not good at reading and writing because if you do then you cant buy and hodl your own btc and you won't be able to write this long sentence. What you mean to say is you simply lack of understanding things especially if you think it was too complicated but practice makes perfect.

That is why your friend still recommends you the old link that he sent to you last time. He needs you to practice reading and try to understand what is written on it. You can also search some terms online if you can't understand them. I know all of us can do things which are hard but as long as we are willing to. Grats by the way and good luck on this journey.

You have taken the right step by accumulating your first Bitcoin, this is great step and I will advise you to not just stop at this first bitcoin purchase you can make a further effort to accumulate more Bitcoin as you learn along, give yourself a time frame to come back and check this your small purchases of today, then it would have turned into big investment for you.
We all started this way and as long as you keep up with the journey you will learn along. Once again congratulations on your first Bitcoin purchase.

Congrats on your first Bitcoin purchase. I am not sure what you mean by officially, hope everything went smoothly and your experience is good during the purchase of Bitcoin. Since you are in the forum, a lot of things you may learn from here by reading threads here. More important is to story your crypto in a safe wallet like a hardware wallet or non-custodial wallet. You may ask your friend or search for more about it.

“Every journey begins with a single step” this is a very famous proverb and even if the amount of bitcoin you bought is not big, if you are constant and keep buying bitcoin over the years you will find you should have accumulated way more bitcoin than what you thought possible at the beginning of your journey.

However I will give you a warning, while making money with bitcoin can be as easy as just buying bitcoin and then hold it, making a living out of it is a completely different ball game, since you will need to have a capital way higher than that plus the ability to trade the markets at a level way higher than what most traders can do.

Congratulations, this resonates with most of us here as we all had a beginning, even though you could get more Sats back in the day.  You are entering at a good time as Bitcoin is currently undervalued, meaning you are getting a bargain, just sit back a few years and watch what happens.

You remind me of the feeling of buying my first bitcoin, both the joy and the thrill that came with owning bitcoin for the first time.
Welcome on board, this is going to be a long road and you need to learn a lot in this market to become a real investor.
I consider you lucky to have come at the right time when we are in a bear market, with the bear market, you will have the opportunity to buy cheap bitcoin and you will see the harshness of the market and learn how to survive this severe bear season. Many people enter a bull market they quickly give up and lose money when bear season comes, for them bear season is really a bad thing that they don't know in advance.

I think what you did was the right decision. but of course in investing there are always many obstacles and almost everyone who invests experiences various obstacles.
FOR YOUR FIRST BITCOIN PURCHASE, I SAY CONGRATULATIONS. I wish you success with your investment.
It's never too late to buy bitcoin, because no one will ever know when the price of bitcoin will soar, if you've bought bitcoin you have to prepare your mentality, you also have to be patient, never be easily influenced by negative posts by people who post negative things about bitcoin, maybe this will be the beginning of your economic revival.

Small or big we should appreciate what we do and how we experience to be enjoin on crypto journey. It may be small of value today but rest assured that it will appreciate through time. Also who knows by doing dca of your extra money it would grow bigger and havevan unexpected value later on. Congrats on your first purchade of BTC

I definitely agree with your statement- no matter how small or big the investment is, what matters is that the person has started and initiated investing.

I remember OP, back in 2017, I used to HODL like $5-$15 worth of BTC in my account and I felt like I was the happiest person in the world. The fact that I received BTC (which came from the proceeds of my first campaign signature) meant that my journey in cryptocurrencies had officially started. Now that you have invested and decided to HODL, this will be the start of many adventures of purchasing/selling your BTCs as the right time for profit.

Now, now, let's all share and feel the same when bitcoin go up again, and dump afterwards. Lol.

If you mind, maybe the next thing you need to ask or to know is how people keep staying in this space knowing the struggles, blood and tears after bitcoin dumps from almost $70k to $18k in just a year. lmao.

Hi Obari! Congrats! I think it was a good start, every journey starts from somewhere. Now is the right time as bitcoin prices are sliding gradually and many think a dip has come for bitcoin. Whether you want a casual investment or one that could potentially turn into a small fortune, this may be your chance to secure a good investment. It may not continue to appreciate as fast as it has been, but for now, it's the most secure and stable option around. Hope you make it big on crypto journey.

I understand how we feel when we first buy Bitcoin, this is really fun and makes us encouraged to buy it again next time. This is a very good step. As long as we buy Bitcoin with money that is not for our needs, which we can afford to lose, we will be calmer in investing in Bitcoin. Especially at this time still in the bearish market. So you should still be more patient for a few years maybe to find the price you want. Especially for bullish markets. There will be many FUDs later, so you have to remain patient and strong with various conditions to remain to hold.

I don't know! Actually, it shouldn't be the "Everest" as they want to make it look, we must spread the idea of easy access to having satoshi or bitcoin whatever, learning is easy, it is a myth to think that it is complicated to have bitcoin etc. what is not a myth are the basic security guidelines that you must follow.

Basic Security Guidelines, it  That should make you happy to know and understand, by the way, be careful with that friends who ask for links, data, etc. Read everything you can aboutb it safety that isn't rocket science either.

Congratulations...!

Congratulation friend ,
I just says that you join this field at golden time believe me you buy Bitcoin at 60% discounted price and i  think come in my mind a person says " Market dips help flush out weak hands. Its not Crash ,its a sale"
So fried many weak hands are washed out from market and you avail the sale But i just says you need to regularly make investment in this dump time i say buy with 20% of your salary 10% at which you are more comfortable and buy at lower levels that you previously buy to averagely lower your buying price.

Congratulations on your very first purchase of Bitcoin! Remember not to make the mistake of selling out of panic, as you will definitely feel a bit scared whenever we have gigantic dips or pumps in price. And do not trade too often (if you are considering day-trading), as those trading fees can grind away all your money before you notice it. Those two things (emotional trading and trading too often) are really the biggest traps to watch out for.

If you ever need help or information feel free to post in the correct segment on this forum and we will try to help you out as much as we can!

Other than that, have fun and welcome to the world of Bitcoin! Grin

Congratulations OP! I myself still didn't experience purchasing Bitcoin for myself since most of crypto came from bounty campaign, signature campaign and my freelance work that rewards me in Bitcoin. I didn’t have the chance to buy Bitcoin using my personal money until because I save a lot during the price is very low.

The only time I remember purchasing crypto is through P2P when I need a gas for my wallet but the money I used came from my crypto profit which means this still not count as my first purchase for me.

It is still not too late to start investing in bitcoin. I believe you made it in time for future profits that must come in the following years. Bitcoin is cheap right now and the more you are able to acquire and hold, the better for yourself once the market's tendency is reverted. I hope you can inspire many others through your story to make their first bitcoin purchases as well, so bitcoin community can become larger and bitcoin can become widely spread among more investors' hands, truly decentralizing the supply of coins.

Congratulations mate I must tell you that you have done a great thing for yourself. I think this is how to grow. Many newbies don't believe in gradual rise when it comes to crypto-currency. I also had same euphoria when I had to make my Frist Bitcoin purchase, I wasn't really excited because I just bought Bitcoin as an investor but because I believe it's going to be part of my future.

If it's possible mate I recommend you keep accumulating or progressing in your Bitcoin usage the benefits can be earned now and that's easy transactions and other freedoms. Congratulations once again.

The feeling is always great having to purchase your first bct, mine happened years back when lots of people were still getting to know btc. Bought some btc with my pocket money, to be honest, I didn't understand it if not would have sold everything I have to buy as much as I could. This is one money well spent, in a few years you will look back to this day and have a big smile on your face. congrats bro.

Congratulations Obari, this bold step is worth celebrating. I don't know your location but in my country $60 is a huge sum. You deserve all the commendation because due to the economic downturn in most countries people are more concerned about how to provide their basic needs and just survive because most countries are going through hyperinflation. But for you to have an investment mentality to set out this sum to keep for the future shows that you are uncommon.

I also hope that you would have the patience and courage to Hodl this asset for a very long time until you get your profit. I would also advice that you keep investing in bitcoin and don't be distracted by the enticing benefits of shitcoins or the smear campaigns of anti-bitcoin forces.

Congratulations for finally buying your first Bitcoin! And it is also worth noting and perhaps worthy of another congratulations that you intend to HODL it. When I made my first Bitcoin purchase, it's a shame that it was done for the sake of having its price grow a little, for selling afterward.

Buy and sell was a bit more popular than HODLing back then, at least among my little group of Bitcoin friends. It was only later on that many of us stayed away from trading and mainly focused on HODLing.

Anyway, I'm curious. What are you particularly referring to when you mentioned "making a living out of Bitcoin?"

Congratulations bud, every one of us here started out just like you did, though not all of us had the opportunity of having a genuine friend like` yours to point us to the right direction, i personally had no body to teach me when i started out in crypto, and this lead me to being a victim to some series of scam, but then, i always thank God i did not give up, i learnt from all my mistakes and it has shaped my life and knowledge of Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general.

My advice to you is to develop the habit of reading, it is very important if you must make impact financially in this space, dont wait for anybody to baby sit you cus no body in this space have such time, and i personally commend your friend for not trying to baby sit you, by referring you back to the articles he asked you to read each time you ask for his guidance, he actually was teaching you that if you must do well in crypto, then you must develop the habit of reading and understanding.

Congratulation on your first BTC purchase.  I hope you will have the patience to go through the ups and downs of Bitcoin and eventually be able to realize your target price for profit.  I believe this won't be the last time you will buy one, at the current condition of the market, Bitcoin is selling at a huge discount so I would suggest accumulating more especially if you have extra funds to spend.  Also take notice of mk4 's suggestion for it will help a lot in securing your Bitcoin holdings

Congratulations Man or your first purchase. I can see the Joy you have and in sharing your first experience. I know there are many of your type out there doing the same for the first time in their life. The experience is always fresh in the memory as it was the first time you ever did such a thing. I remember my first time of Bitcoin purchase that was years back. I initially was afraid so as not to fall victim or prey to scammers. I waited and waited sourcing for genuine site for purchase of Bitcoin until a friend whom I met long ago who was into Bitcoin and I had no idea. I told him about my discovery of Bitcoin and I am interested in it and I want to buy it he smiled at me and told me more about it there I realized he has been onboard the system for a long time. I trusted him so I gave him the money to purchase it which he did and transferred to my own private wallet. As at then I was so excited because it was my first time of purchasing Bitcoin as an enthusiast in the blockchain. I so much cherish that moment as it is still fresh in my memory. Currently now, anyone buying Bitcoin should be lucky and should find him or herself in a better position as the price is still down for a good purchase.

Congrats, OP.
You know that everyone gotta start somewhere. You made me recall back in the days when I was still scared to get my first Bitcoin due to how volatile the price is. Regardless I still bit rhe bullet and then boom I just found myself trading afterwards.

All the best to you, Op!

I can only congratulate you. As you have now personally seen, there is nothing complicated with buying bitcoin, and the main thing here is to try to do it, after which all fears are dispelled. I am sure you will remember this moment with the purchase of 0,00265305BTC for the rest of your life and maybe it will change it for the better. Of course, this is not the last time when you bought bitcoin and you will repeat this more than once.

...

To anyone who made their first bitcoin purchase, I congratulate you on making the right decision. over time, when the market rebounds, the value of your bitcoin will increase many times.
many are still asking themselves when will they sell the bitcoins they hold, my advice is to keep selling it when you have made a profit from it or when you are in an emergency situation, never sell it when the market is bear or FUD.

Congratulations on your first purchase, op! It's not a bad time to join the market, and with patience and long-term perspective, I believe that profits are very likely. It's also good that you've started with a fairly small amount, so that you don't risk what you can't afford to lose.
Please listen to the points that were raised in the thread about safely storing your coins, though. I'd say the simplest safe solution would be Electrum wallet, but maybe you have other preferences.
Also, it's worth thinking realistically about your investment (if that's how you view your BTC): you can have 3x profit, maybe even 10x in a few years, but even that would mean $600 instead of $60, which is good growth but often not even enough to cover monthly expenses if you need to rent accommodation. Bitcoin is interesting, and it has been growing in value over time, but it's not magic and not a solution to all financial issues.

First, I congrats you on your first Bitcoin purchase because some beginners usually pursue altcoin in this season instead of Bitcoin.
Second, I congrats you don't see your best friend as an enemy to your success in cryptocurrency whenever your best friend refers you to the same link he sent you to learn about Bitcoin I am saying this because this is what I once told some friend and they don't see me as a nice person or someone that really care.

In the meantime, knowledge is vast in cryptocurrency and you always read some important threads on this forum which will increase your knowledge

This is your best step when you first buy Bitcoin which is quite large for you but some people are quite small because everyone always varies in investing Bitcoin in its value.

Although this is a common purchase that many people make but you are expressing here as a start of the journey with Bitcoin and so on it may be possible to increase again or increase earnings in trading and also hold for the long term so I guess it depends on the ability how to allocate money into Bitcoin investment.

Small celebrations will certainly be meaningful to you when you become big holding assets and this will be remembered in the future as the most beautiful memories that will not be forgotten.

The advice above should be a step taken by securing Bitcoin assets in order to avoid a greater risk or being called hackers.

I really appreciate your decision to buy Bitcoin, because when compared to people out there who will still hesitate to buy Bitcoin. You've done well, it doesn't matter what amount you buy, it means that you are sure that buying for the long term always gives you a profit in the future. Try to routinely DCA every month with whatever amount you can afford because it's quite impressive for you in the future.

Congratulation Obari for taking a bold step into the crpto space, you have done well to buy now that bitcoin is facing its bear market, how small or how big doesn't matter.  I hope you didn't use the money for something important to invest and you are not in a rush to make profit. Your friend did great to involve you in the crpto space. You will need to keep your bitcoin save from hackers by learning how to store it in a cold storage wallet.

If you have any challenge or issues on bitcoin, you should feel free to ask the forum members. When you have acquired more bitcoin and you want to trade, you should consider the know the risk management in trading. Bitcoin Holdings needs patient, you should also have it's volatile nature in mind so that if the price falls lower than this, you should not panic

Congratulations mate on your first bitcoin purchase. It really doesn’t matter whether it’s a big amount or small. The thing that matters is that you have finally made the purchase and ready to face and overcome challenges that will come with it. Today the value you purchased might be very small, but who knows if that value becomes 10x the amount? Also kudos to your friend who help you to understand the Bitcoin world and spread positivity among new people. Really excited to hear more crypto journey of yours from yourself.

Congratulations, you have taken the first step to breaking the barrier of fear, and the next steps will all be easy if you know how to get past the starting point.

Now you need to protect your wealth by either buying a hardware wallet or learning how to secure your phone/computer wallet.
Then you move on to trading strategies, choosing the platforms and the best time to buy bitcoin while learning the basics such as support and resistance levels and the basics of technical analysis.

It's been nothing but JOY through out yesterday for me, as I was able to officially buy my first Bitcoin for HODL. I have been really interested in cryptocurrency lately but had no single clue of how it really works.

You're bold enough to have taken the first step to show interest, it will now make more sense if you begin to work on yourself for a better understanding of bitcoin, it's a privilege you had to have come across this platform which was purposely designed to engage bitcoiners on discussion on every aspect of bitcoin,, should incase you need help for direction, advice, questions, or even something you've discovered to contribute to the forum are all welcome.

Congratulations! Now, you'll be having more time to read more stuff about bitcoin as you're already invested on it. This amount ain't little for someone who has been eagered on learning on how it goes and join us being one of the bitcoin holders.

Just a little warning, holding bitcoin is addicting and I think that $60 will be soon added more by you as you think that the more you have, the better and not just holding but also buying. Smiley

This is a good step and congratulations to you. But it is not about buying BTC only, it is about what you buy it for and the other opportunities associated with it that you might not know yet. You might need to learn how to maximise your earnings with BTC or make transactions with it as the case may be for better usage.

You might want to check out a topic I posted a while ago about this, I am sure it would help you. Here is the link: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.61094642

If you want to celebrate about anything you feel it's great or an achievement you can post it here Announce your rank up, merit or any achievements that makes you feel great! .

To be honest I don't see any reason what's the thing I should congratulate you, because it's a normal thing that most people already done before. It's true for new people who have never buy Bitcoin before will feel excited, but you haven't hold until the bear market make the situation worst like the price is decreased for 50% from the beginning you bought. This is the test to know if you're a diamond hand or a weak hand.

Congrats. Bitcoin has been making lots of people happy since its inception.

However, living out of bitcoin might be difficult from now on. I am not saying it is impossible but the growth may not make you that happy. Maybe you can double or triple your money but will that be enough for you? That would make lots of people happy but I am not sure about you.

You should probably consider the other investment options too if you are aiming to get retired.

If you are thinking about becoming a trader, then that's whole another story. The growth potential there is simply limitless.
