Hello,

Of course there is still time for predictions (that are editable till 6 may), but since I've never done excel charts or graphs, I'm starting to practice because I want to be a little self-sufficient. Here is my first chart. I haven't managed to put Bitcoin under his column yet but maybe it will come?

Hopefully this contest could be run regularly and there would be more sponsorship. Good luck Becassine!

We will see if we can count on the French community as well. It's true that at the moment they are very busy: there is a think tank trying to turn a minitel into a cold wallet. The debate is raging and the tricks are numerous. But the minitel is still quite impractical for transportation.  Tongue

(sorry for not having btc skills, I like to make stupid jokes)

PS : You can see how you can play with a minitel : https://www.instructables.com/Old-School-Minitel-Laptop/ or https://chapelierfou.org/blog/a-high-tech-minitel.html

This is a cool contest, Becassine! Thank you for asking me to prepare the signature design. I'd like to join which my prediction is 37,323 CHF.

Following the format by PowerGlove;
I predict the high on 2023/5/22 will be 1 BTC = 37,323 CHF

Good luck guys!

I must say that Jayce insisted once again that he don't want to be paid for his beautiful work: I had to reassure him that Bitcoin is not a currency according to Madame Lagarde. It's just "funny business". And that's what we want: fun.  Smiley
...
Actually I still prefer to not get paid if possible, but yeah Lagarde, she has a point Cheesy Hopefully this contest could be run regularly and there would be more sponsorship. Good luck Becassine!

...
Thank you for updating the rules, Becassine, for explaining precisely until when voting / editing votes can be done and also for informing us about the free shipping! Now everything is clear.
I am also very glad knowing that jayce will get a slice of a pie some money for his contribution Smiley
...
Thanks GazetaBitcoin. Though I really don't mind to get a slice of pie instead, from each of 37 participants in the previous contest. That's something I absolutely can't reject

No need to split it up; I've noticed that jayce always does a really great job and is very generous with his time, so I'm happy to contribute an extra 1 mBTC to the "jayce appreciation" side pot. Wink
Thank you for your kind words and generous donation, PowerGlove! I always feel that you are one of the coolest guys here in the forum Cool

Hello,

Even though this is a serious contest with very serious prizes, you understand that humor is serious too.

I must say that Jayce insisted once again that he don't want to be paid for his beautiful work: I had to reassure him that Bitcoin is not a currency according to Madame Lagarde. It's just "funny business". And that's what we want: fun.  Smiley

English is not my mother tongue, so excuse me if I make mistakes.

Ouahhhh great thank you ! I change the rules again (for the last time !), if you agree, we could part your generous donation in 2 : a part for the third price and a part for Jayce.

However, regarding that,

If my fierce gastronomic competitor wins first prize, he should come bring me a pie

I think you made a slight error: you wrote the above rule with strikethrough font instead of bold Smiley It was supposed to look like this:

If my fierce gastronomic competitor wins first prize, he should come bring me a pie

I predict the high on 2023/5/22 will be 1 BTC = 29160 CHF

I'm really sorry but you can't participate, players must have a certain rank in order to avoid people registering at the last moment and leaving just as quickly and bringing nothing to the forum. I hope I can organize other contests so you can participate next time. I give you a merit to encourage you to continue to participate in the forum  Wink

Thank you
It's okay not to be able to compete and the reason is understandable, however I leave my contribution.
Maybe make me a little more visible.
I wish everyone luck, and the winner could share some price prediction tips.
We could even talk about the new maximo (ath) ahahahah (I already calculated it, another thing is that it is true)
A hug!

Hey there Becassine!
This is very nice initiative with running this giveaway for BitBox02 hardware wallet and Steel wallet.
Since you are in contact with BitBox team maybe you can invite them to join Bitcointalk forum and create official account here.
We already have Passport HW doing that, and before that Trezor, Keystone and few other hardware wallets joined bitcointalk forum.

You are right. I couldn't find a Bitbox account on this forum. I will send the staff an invitation. Maybe the staff is just watching ?

Nice idea Becassine, and great job organizing such nice prizes!

I predict the high on 2023/5/22 will be 1 BTC = 34360 CHF. (I asked my Norwegian Blue. I think I heard a low squawk when I whispered: "34360?", so that's what I'm going with.)

I'll contribute 2 mBTC to the prize pool. Good luck everyone! Smiley

Thank you Gazeta, what a pleasure to see you here, my fierce gastronomic competitor  Grin

Awwww, I'll take that as a compliment, of course  Roll Eyes (And now I'm blushing too!)

You can't imagine the time I spent writing the initial post  Tongue

Actually I do imagine! I noticed that it is a very nice organized topic and I understood from first sight that you made some effort for writing it. I, myself, spend also a lot of time when I am writing my topics (and my posts as well), paying a lot of attention to proofreading, punctuation, reading and re-reading (at least) 2 times prior submitting the post -- so yes, I really understand your efforts! And I congratulate you for the way you wrote the topic.

PS : You can change your estimate until May 7, maybe bitcoin will explode the forecast?

Thank you, I noticed that rule! We all hope that we'll assist to a booming price of BTC, especially considering that we are getting closer and closer to another halving (and signs are already here). And, of course, I will take advantage of the rule on May 7th.

I actually have a question here: what does the rule precisely mean?

You have until May 7 (Paris time) to vote, until then you can edit your posts, after that it will not be possible anymore.

Does it mean that voting and editing prediction is allowed until May 7th, Paris time, 23:59:59? Or does it actually mean "until May 7", as in the sense of before May 7, which would imply, in fact, May 6th, Paris time, 23:59:59?

And one more question, this time about shipping of prizes: what method will you use? Will it be free worldwide? Will the winners have to pay for it? Will you use another forum member to do the shipping (for example, in Collectibles board, many contest organizers prefer to give their prizes to MJ for shipping them -- at least, those outside US). Maybe this information would be also considered useful by participants.

P.S.: I may (or may not) come back with a nice surprise.

P.S.2:I advertised your contest in Romanian local board.

Your fierce gastronomic competitor,
Gazeta.

(P.S.3: obviously, if we'd ever have a battle, in real life, inside a kitchen (any kitchen), on anything, I would certainly lose in front of you  Cheesy)
