Since the price of ETH now are too high in the market, perhaps in my own opinion, it is timely to sell some of your ETH holdings in the exchange.
But if you are willing to hold it in the long term, of course I respect that. But for whatever reason or purpose your choice decision it is still in your hand anyway.
selling ethereum at this moment personally was big mistake ever decision in cypto market.  ethereum demand in ecosytem still very high now and its still continuesly growing. almost all traders have ethereum in their wallet now and it also used as hedging asset . Axie was good project and it still have some money better to buy it with this money  and dont sell our ethereum

A few weeks ago, one of my friends is buying ETH from me via P2P at his house. Our transaction was completed as usual. However, days later it’s where ETH had skyrocketed from $2k to $3k+, and I had nothing but regrets. If I didn’t sell my ETH back then, I could have gained some more lol.

Last night, he reached out to me again to buy ETH for his second Axie team, but this time I said no.

Because of Ethereum London hard fork, I am so bullish about it and I feel that it may go even further before the end of this year. So I am holding my dear ETH as it is my major holdings. This is just my feeling, so I ain’t gonna sell my ETH until further notice.

However, I did advice him to try Binance P2P or other trusted and reputable P2P providers out there.

all crypto coins have fluctuating prices except stable coins which have prices based on Fiat pairs, btw I will not regret the assets that have been sold if at that time I needed money for other purposes, but unlike you, it looks like your friend is lucky to buy ETH because of the price ETH rose above $3k.
other times you can sell the ETH you own with a selling target as you wish, for example $5k for 1 ETH and the order will be sold if someone buys it on the exchange

Simple as that, the timing of your friend is very lucky since after buying it from you the value went up. So it's good for not to let him
buy your other ETH and let him learn how to buy it from the market. He may learn how to deal with the fluctuating value and it will  give him the idea why you are not letting him to buy your remaining ETH.

If you have set your target keep it and allow time to hit it up for you, in that way you'll maximize your profits.

Each of us has definitely experienced Fomo when he saw that the price of an asset sold increases. But these are the realities of trading, because no one will be able to sell sell high and buy at a low price. But in any case, every trader should keep such an asset as Ethereum in his wallet, at least before the ETH2 phase-2 is launched.

The exchange recommended to me is Binance exchange, this was already proven and tested. And I don't know to other exchange I haven't try it yet so far. Well, in regardless of your ETH holdings I have no question to that matter. The only thing I don't like for the ETH is the transaction charge is too high or expensive. The fee for me is not too practical anymore, and I don't see the logic why ETH have that kind of expensive charge every time there is a transaction in terms of withdrawal.

If you already have a firm belief in ETH then you shouldn't sell any of your remaining ETH bags unless are in dire situations. This is how people keep repeating hodl no matter what because fall and rise are what crypto is. Unless a coin going nowhere, dev abandoned it, delisted from exchange, else you just keep on hodl them and I think ETH next fork going to have a strong pump for ETH.

Agreed, and I believe we made similar mistakes a few years ago, but profit is profit, whether small or big. If you have faith in the coin, hold it, but reconsider if you truly need money, as most holders always say those kinds of statements if they've sold it before the price spikes up. However, as long as you make a profit, selling is always a good idea.

If I could have sell it to him again, I may end up regretting the same thing. I’m so dumb not thinking about selling my short term coins to ETH first instead of using my then-current ETH holdings I have. Like I have mentioned in the thread, the first time I’ve sold my ETH to him, the coin skyrocketed a few days later from $2k to $3k+, and I have regretted selling it to him, in which I could have gained more profits by holding more ETH.
At least, you suggest your friend buy at the exchange such as Binance. I agree with you to hold Ethereum for a while because Ethereum has a big chance to show its power to us and increase the price by more than just $3,000.

Your friend is desperate or curious about the Axie game so he wants to buy more and find out about that game.

You are making a good decision not to sell your Ethereum because you are bullish and believe that Ethereum can rise. Let your friend buy Ethereum from other places according to your suggestion.

he plays axie but doesn't have ETH and can't buy his own ETH on the exchange, he have SLP or axie he can exchange it for ETH,
but you can also help him to buy him ETH on the exchange with a fee charged to your friend, so that he doesn't get fooled by P2P out there, because there are many fraudsters under the guise of p2p

I don't understand you clear here. Why did you stop your friend to buy ETH when he needed ETH to buy the Axie game ? The price of ethereum is still undervalued and think that your friend will play Axie and generate a lot of income. I think you should again advice your friend to go for it and try his luck in the Axie game.

It seems like you and your friend have different opinion. As far as I can see from your thread if you're only pegging with the capital gain from your investment from your ethereum and as per London hardfork and the inflation that happened since a long time ago already reduced through burn fees mechanism that already implemented.

You have been making a very good decision by redirecting your friend to the binance p2p. Why is not your friend using the exchange site instead of p2p transaction? will not it be much more easier compared when buying from you?

Your friend was focusing into the active income from playing axie infinity. I'm also axie players and I have been playing this since 2020.

I hope that there will be a big update on its hardcap supply and then ethereum will be very valuable

If I have some extra money, I'd rather hold my ETH and will not sell it because I believe that ETH will continue to go up. When it comes to axie infinity game, you can work, earn, save and buy more teams you wanted just keep doing more extra jobs.😅

I believe that Ethereum will be always and still a good token to hold for a long term investment but I also think that those people who are interested to buy their own team especially when they would like to buy Axie pet in marketplace they will need to buy Eth. OP may have some regrets by selling his Eth to his friend but he already learn a lesson from his decision actually this month is not a month to sell your crypto instead it is a season to hold crypto. It is also good that he advise his friend to buy eth from a reputable exchanges.

It's really a pity , But you need to know that ETH is one of the potential and popular coins second only to BTC and the price increase is certain . As for using P2P to help us transact quickly , But I myself just read about the article P2P trading still contains many risks , And the best way is to learn more about how to trade or binance P2P will be the best choice.

That's what I'm thinking right now, many people are starting to be tempted by NFT, besides playing games they can also have crypto profits from it. Of course it's not free to play in Axie Infinity, some capital does need to be prepared.

For me, for some reason, it's too difficult to release coins like ETH just to play, even though we can get profit, but it comes back to the user. Because for me as long as there are other alternatives to playing games on NFT with crypto other than ETH and BTC maybe it is much better to choose. Instead of having to let go of the grip of potential coins which have the prospect of guaranteeing from day to day.

Well i fell you mate that selling ethereum right now is not a good choice, especially when you know that there's an upcoming event, its definitely a big mistake, indeed even me if i were on that situation for sure i will suggest them to use P2P or any reputable P2P service in the internet wherein rather than selling my ethereum because it's like you let the opportunity to obtain good profits go away..so never in my life, especially if there's a bullish season in the market because it's the right time to multiply our money .. Lol

Indeed, now is not the time to sell your ethereum. After the upgrade, this coin should go up a lot in value. Therefore, I also now try to keep these coins with me. According to forecasts of ethereum, after the network upgrade, the price may rise to $ 10,000 - $ 15,000, or even more. This has been talked about for a long time. It is assumed that after the update, this coin may even overtake Bitcoin in terms of capitalization and price dominance. Perhaps this is still a long way off, but the price of this coin will grow much in the coming year.

Does anyone know the date of the update? I already have some savings, if there is a chance I will buy more.

Did you just sell your ETH at $2K because he's your friend or you really had a plan to trade on exchanges?

Why not offer your services instead? You could buy for him and charge a small fee untill he learns how to buy directly without using P2P.

Okay I've bought ETH when it's still under $200 somewhere around early of 2020. This is why I'm enjoying the gains. I didn't say that I've sold all of my ETH, I just sell only worth almost $2k worth of ETH to my friend in a P2P transaction at his house when it's price is consolidating somewhere between $1,900 to $2,000 range that time, and the rest I kept it which is still a good amount to HODL right now.

But ETH didn't go down either after he bought it from me because he immediately bought Axies of his choice (with a guidance from his "mentor" on their private group chat). I did guided him in using the bridge from Metamask to Ronin Wallet. He's just a friend, but we're not close.

It's hard for me to sell ETH to him again because I am so bullish on this cryptocurrency (since I still have enough money in my bank, mobile wallets and other cryptos), and I could miss that big potential pump later on like what happened last time that ETH suddenly pumped hard days after selling my $2k worth of ETH to him.

I wish I could have converted my other extra cryptos to ETH that I don't need to hold long term during that time he wants to buy rather than the current balance I have back then. Oh well....
