My greatest regret was selling  about 2 BTC when bitcoin fall at a very low price of $3.4K. I was so scared i thought i would lose my investments but now i can see bitcoin really falls and rises. I have also learnt quite a lot about the market these days i think i would hold the last few bitcoins till i see a new all time high.

I think there are many like this, selling their bitcoins below the price of $ 4000 for fear that prices will fall even deeper. But this often happens to us, thinking the price will fall turns out that the coins we sell prices go up again and even higher than our estimates. There was an incident like this that I did and I also regret it

My greatest crypto regret was when a friend wanted to give me 6btc in 2010 and i told him this 'you are just wasting your time with all this useless internet things' and even the guy wasnt sure if what is holding will worth it in future so the guy replied 'it costs me nothing' ,after few months i stop seeing the guy again even till date,i thinks he is not in my city anymore, what is your greatest crypto regret?
Not listening to friend early enough and when I decided to go in, listening fud.
Frankly, I don't look at the past too much, I am happy with my position as it is.
I have made many mistakes in the past but I adopted and doing opposite of what I was doing and it turned out just fine.

Probably not buying lots of bitcoin while it was very cheap during the time I know of this stuff. Well this regret will not be happened again on some other coins that has potential out there. I think many also did regret with same reasons but we must move on.
The problem is, how do you recognize these coins with potentials? How? The truth is that no one actually knows this. We only speculate. Even the early Bitcoin hodlers didn't know Bitcoin would amount to something this great a few years down the line. And I believe some of the early adopters regret not having as much Bitcoin as Satoshi mapped out for himself. Life is just that way and for that reason I don't want to dwell on regret because it always hurts whenever I try to remember my past mistake in this industry.

In 2009, I was paid 32 btc for visiting various sites. It was such a cheap job. At that time, this number of bitcoins cost very little. I exchanged these coins for game currency in mmorpg Lineage 2. Now I remember this time with a smile and I think who would I be now if I did not sell bitcoins then?)

my biggest regret is selling 2 btc at very low prices, whereas in just one month the price of btc soared 1.5x. this is one of my biggest regrets now. So I think maybe we should focus more on BTC, and in the future so that no regrets occur later.
Regardless of what coins you will focus but if you do not sell at the right timing, you will still gonna regret.
The potential of bitcoin is really good, in fact, it's the most trusted coin in the market, but we cannot expect bitcoin will also have a rally, sometimes, it also drop and even undergo some big correction, but like I said, if you do it with timing, things will be a lot better for you.

Holding is always good but it should be with proper discipline to sell whenever necessary and not be greedy that in the end you will just fail to pull the trigger to sell.

I believe almost every one in the crypto space has got a regretful moment in crypto. Missing or misusing opportunities in crypto is the commonest among them. However, what matters most is when every mistake or regret serves as a lesson. Not researching into projects before investing was one of my earliest mistakes when I first join crypto and it ended me up with losses.

My regrets...

1. I mined Bitcoin back in 2011. I made the decision to stop mining because the value I was mining was getting close to the cost of electricity. At the time, my mid level graphics card mined about 1 BTC every 7 days, and in 2011 the value of 1 BTC was...meh. I regret that I didn't continue mining for longer.

2. I forgot about my wallet, then, a couple of years later, as the price started rising, I sold off the entire proceeds at mtgox. I ended up with about $500 in my account. If I'd waited a few more years, I could have netted over $200,000. I couldn't have predicted the massive increase in value, but it was still stupid to sell 100% of my funds.

So yeah, as a reasonably early adopter, when it was still possible to mine Bitcoin on commodity equipment in a house... I did some dumb things.

.....

I remember reading about a guy who went all in and bought $30k worth of GFX cards and mainboards, on credit. This was probably around 2011-2012, before ASICs were a thing. People said he was crazy.

Following on from this...

It took me a few more years to figure out that miners (especially those who can switch coins easily) are in a unique position: if you ignore capital costs, your maximum losses are limited to the electricity your equipment consumes. You don't need to risk buying hundreds or thousands of dollars worth of a coin that could crash tomorrow; if the market (or the coin) that you've been recently mining dies, you've just lost the value of the power used to mine it.

I used this epiphany to my advantage in 2017/2018 by finding obscure scrypt coins that were easy to mine. In essence, I was making the profit when I bought (mined), not when I sold. At that time, my costs were capped at around USD1000 per year, regardless of what I did with the coins I mined.

If I'd thought back in 2011 "this is only costing me a dollar a day, may as well keep going" rather than "hmm, if I don't sell soon I may not cover my electricity costs" then things could have been quite different.

the thing that I regret the most is that I learned about crypto late than my friends. My friend invited me to buy some bitcoin and told me to save in the long term but at that time I didn't care and didn't want to know it, and right now my friend got a very big profit while I was just learning.

Mine is selling the airdrop token too early that I only got $300. But after 1 Month later I can get around $60,000 because price is rising instantly.
I can't imagine that I can lose all of that money Cry

My greatest regret may be the same as yours. At that time I was invited to study the crypto and how to produce coins. At that time I did not believe the results already described by my friend. But after a few months, my friend had a lot of money and could buy a car and so on.

And once I know the outcome of the money from Crypto, I definitely regret it. After that, I learned crypto and tried to find coins by following the Bounty campaign.

As you can see many people here sold their coins too early. We are now in the same situation, price could be only higher from this point. If you stay in crypto until now, you can definitely continue holding your coins to the next bull run.
Last year was one of the worst year of crypto, a lot of investors panic last year because seeing bitcoin at sub $3k from $20K was a big disappointment and that will shake the faith of some people if they are not strong enough.

Holders who survive until now will not gonna sell and will continue to hold because this year although it is still not a good year, but compared to last year, we have some small improvement this year, and that's enough to give us hope for the bright future of crypto.

Make sure to not dump all tokens youve earned from some campaign and left some, cause who knows what could it be the price in the coming years right.

I think this kind of regret should not be happening because we know it is impossible to reverse the time.
i would regret if i have bitcoin in wallet from 2009, but lost my private key now so i can't access my wallet.

We are not a fortune teller, for us to think that something like Bitcoin will worth thousands of dollars in the future, we have our own regrets until now, because there are so many coins coming in the market, but because of lack of knowledge, and insight we failed to analyze it's potential in the future and so we missed the opportunity of buying these coins.
There is too much of those coins for us to start analyzing them, if I may ask you, do you think you can analyses over 2000 altcoins? Analyzing these coins requires through investigation for your to really be able to know their future, and you know the time it takes to analyses each of these coins?

We can only use our discretion or based on people’s recommendation and opinion to pick some of those coins to analyze which some of them will still end of failing, in fact aside bitcoin, until now, it is still very much more impossible for you to really know the future of those coins, as everything all  depends on the project team, and only them can really tell of their strength and mindset towards the project that they released to the public.

That is actually a typical regret that almost everyone in cryptocurrency have.
We will never know about the future my friend. Even if there are some new coins which will be mooning in the future,
i don't think we will buy and keep holding that coin because we never know which one will be moon.
could other altcoin or other crypto have a future similar to bitcoin story? so we can buy another altcoin and expect have the same movement and not be disappointed for the second time?
I also feel the disappointment, because I joined bitcoin when prices were still very cheap too, when many people were still demeaning bitcoin. I was wrong not to buy as much as possible, and not to save it for the future Sad

My greatest regret is that I’m not very impatient and I sell my coins that are worth holding very early.  I can’t overcome myself and suffer from it very much.
