My biggest mistake was when I sold my Counting House tokens from bounty campaign for 0.3 BTC on EtherDelta and few weeks later the price pumped almost 15times! If I have 4BTC, I wouldnt have to participate in bounty campaigns anymore.  Cheesy

I've have several regrets in cryptocurrency and Infact the regrets happens daily, either when I sell before a price pump or hold and see my portfolio drop.
My greatest regret was not starting cryptocurrency earlier than I did, though I started as soon as I was introduced and had to make so many mistakes along the line due to my ignorance and the person who introduced me was also a novice and didn't know much.
I regret not buying bitcoin when it was less than 500$ and rather wasted my funds on hyip and ponzi scheme.
I regret not buying eth when it was 12$, though I didn't know how to buy it at that time and was busy with my academics.

But in all these regrets, am glad of my experience so far and believe that my mistakes were necessary to bring me to where I am now.
Exactly all of it are the lesson learned and to be honest it isn't yet too late to start and do the right path now. Thanks to those experiences right now we are fully aware and enlightened to the world of crypto.

6 btc is a lot, if at this time, you might not have luck. therefore don't be too hateful if we haven't done previous research. before 2017, maybe a lot of people like you, even I also like that, but unfortunately I know bitcoin from 2017, and from that moment on everybody doesn't look down on bitcoin. suppose I know before 2017, maybe now I can retire

Hindsight is 20/20.
Mine was when I wanted to put an extra $200 I had into bitcoin when it was at $900. Little did I know that a few months later, it would explode.
The money ended up going to a place it needed to be, so I chalk it up to it just not being my time instead of bad luck.

many regrets that I experienced in this crypto market such as being late to join the forum because I started my career in this field around September 2018, maybe if I got to know this industry in 2017 I could have many valuable tokens. on the other hand many say that 2017 is a good year for prize hunters because most of the projects were successful at the time. and when new forum rules such as the merit system are enforced, it also greatly influences stake prizes in bounty campaigns.

This is a bitter experience, actually yours is somehow worst version of mine. I knew about BTC in the year 2015 and my greatest regret is not putting all savings which worth around 1000$ into it. If am not mistaken, my 1000$ should have turned to 20k$ or more today. It's really something I can't forget easily
just like you, i also regret not investing all my savings at that time. but i think, regret will not fix everything, if only everyone realized it earlier then everyone who was here had become rich  Grin Grin. of course regret never exists and we also will never learn from experience.

so we should continue to look forward now and think that regret is a valuable lesson. so we can try our best to get more profit in the future.
Now we are doing everything possible so that in the future we have everything we dream about. we have no time for regrets. need to move forward and earn crypto

I only regret that I do not have the patience to keep the coins to the end.  I take them off very quickly.  And I often suffer from this.  In this way I try to reinsure myself, but it turns out just the opposite.

Yeah? What were those coins though? share them here and share the dates you sold them. I am almost 100% sure that if you were holding alts (you said coins so for sure they were alts), then you would see that you made an OK decision today. Most alts are DOWN 90% from their high so if you released them any time last year, you'd be happy today.

1. In 2017 I have a coin name Grimcoin, I got 50k coins from the airdrop. When listed on 1st exchange named Coinsmarkets exchange, price pumped till 2k sat percoin. My mistake is I don't sell my coins and prefer hodling then hoping price will comeback into more than 2k sat again. But, I was wrong the price of Grimcoin keep dropping until 100 sat. If I can sell it while pumping I can get 1BTC  Cry

2. In 2018 I have a coin named Bitcoin White, I have 5k coins from the airdrop. Same as Grimcoin experience I don't sell it when pumping after listed on 1st exchange. If I can sell it I can get 0.5BTC (1 btw/@10K sat)

My biggest regret is joining this forum late and if I look back again I will be very sorry for not buying cheap bitcoin as people say from the price of $ 150 - $ 200, I don't know that eventually the price of bitcoin will double like the current price this.
You don't have to be sorry with that, no one knows what the future will be, you should be thankful your are finally here as although the price is not anymore at the range you mentioned, there' still more room to grow in the future.

If you are bullish about the future, just search some articles that says about the future prediction of experts, some even predict the price will hit $1 million per BTC and I think that's realistic given BTC is limited in supply and the demand will eventually increase.

The first time, I got a BTC while playing a game (fauncet), at that time I thought it was just bonus score that I got,  and I thought if the bonus score were not worth at all, only after I read a some articles on a some site at that time does apparently BTC have price value.

I used to have similar attitude. I couldn't hold my tokens for a longer time. I tried to change, then I refused to sell my tokens during a bull run. The reverse also hurts, but we move on.

My regrets...

1. I mined Bitcoin back in 2011. I made the decision to stop mining because the value I was mining was getting close to the cost of electricity. At the time, my mid level graphics card mined about 1 BTC every 7 days, and in 2011 the value of 1 BTC was...meh. I regret that I didn't continue mining for longer.

2. I forgot about my wallet, then, a couple of years later, as the price started rising, I sold off the entire proceeds at mtgox. I ended up with about $500 in my account. If I'd waited a few more years, I could have netted over $200,000. I couldn't have predicted the massive increase in value, but it was still stupid to sell 100% of my funds.

So yeah, as a reasonably early adopter, when it was still possible to mine Bitcoin on commodity equipment in a house... I did some dumb things.

.....

I remember reading about a guy who went all in and bought $30k worth of GFX cards and mainboards, on credit. This was probably around 2011-2012, before ASICs were a thing. People said he was crazy.

I got some BTC for free in the early days, but I didn't even take it as something important. It's not a regret though, just a lesson I learnt from. I would never look down on things that seem difficult to understand at first.

When they (friends) are busy with crypto activities, I assume they have wasted their daily time. After I learned with one of them, it turns out I am a person who does not know how to use time.

OP's story was really unfortunate and thinking that the gut who offered him is now having a swim to a lot of money. Well, as for me it was back 2013 when they offered me an investment for crypto and that time mining is not that profitable so I pass then suddenly, when I decided to join in cryptoworld last 2017 it was late but I still believe it is not that late to join the ride. Bowever nowadays it is really hard to decide where to invest.

My greatest crypto regret was when a friend wanted to give me 6btc in 2010 and i told him this 'you are just wasting your time with all this useless internet things' and even the guy wasnt sure if what is holding will worth it in future so the guy replied 'it costs me nothing' ,after few months i stop seeing the guy again even till date,i thinks he is not in my city anymore, what is your greatest crypto regret?

Maybe your friend already sold the btc before the price gone moon. There are several peoples that i know, have same regret with you.
Most of the earlier adopters of bitcoin were selling their btc and have no idea that the bitcoin price would skyrocketing few years later.
Chances that thing  might happened to your friend is very high, once Bitcoin got some value surely your friend already sold it as a natural act by those non believers that Bitcoin will grow up to this level, if he can afford just to have it away then it's very much easier for him to sell it all once there's already a value that he can get, the bull changed everything and regrets shouldn't hold you to continue moving forward.

many people are sorry for starting too late even though they already knew about bitcoin and still didn't believe bitcoin at the time, I also did it but I never regretted it.
I am very sorry when I was in a hurry to sell coins that I had in the past I did not care about the price in the future, even if I keep my coins a little longer I will get a lot of profit, panic sell, yes, that is my regret when I started trading on crypto.
