Welcome to the forum man with your first post finally after 169 days on registering on the forum and hope you have gone through all the rules and regulations of the forum in this time as you have said.
Thank you for welcoming me to the forum and I have actually gone through the rules although that shouldn't take up to 169 days to read.
Thank you to everyone else that dropped links, I will try to read them.

I can see that there is an option to lock the thread so I will do that as I have gotten my answers.

Welcome to the bitcointalk family.

Better late than never, or too quick on your first post. It best to read and learn, before replying or posting.
There are already lots of links already posted on this thread to cause an information overload, so I would not add more.

The forum is not that difficult to understand; avoid plagiarism, spreading malwares and spam. Bitcoin itself is a bit more complex, but if you take it one step at a time, you should get a hang of it.

Welcome to the forum, you don't have to rush to learn everything about the forum, learning one step at a time is a great way to start.

I just want to add the list compiled by Ratimov Big Library of Bitcoin & Blockchain Books. if you are going to look for more bitcoin books to read I suggest visiting the thread I shared. if you have more questions feel free to use the search bar on the upper right side of the forum and if you can't find what you are looking for, don't be afraid to ask.

Good day Bitcointalk community

I am a newbie here tho I have been on the forum for like 5 months now. The forum is kinda difficult to take in all at once, so I have been trying to read the rules and regulations of the forum to understand better, but, I have been distracted with my catering business, I guess that is why it has taken me a while to make my first post.
Welcome to the forum man with your first post finally after 169 days on registering on the forum and hope you have gone through all the rules and regulations of the forum in this time as you have said.We all have our certain priorities but i would suggest if you are keen to learn then be little active on the forum to be part of healthy discussion or even if you want to have a look at good threads.

This forum is huge library for those who wants to dive into knowledge ocean but you have to make some efforts on finding out your suitable threads.

My first question is about resources I can use to learn about Bitcoin; what Bitcoin book can I start with as a newbie?

Welcome to the forum!

1) https://www.amazon.com/Inventing-Bitcoin-Technology-Decentralized-Explained-ebook/dp/B07MWXRWNB to get the idea of why bitcoin was created, what problems it solves, and how and why bitcoin works. When you are reading this book, you are "inventing" bitcoin from scratch in your head.

2) https://www.amazon.com/Bitcoin-Standard-Decentralized-Alternative-Central/dp/1119473861 to get an idea of the economic aspects of bitcoin: this book explains what monetary characteristics bitcoin possesses, what is stock-to-flow, and why it is important for determining the value of bitcoin, what makes bitcoin better than government-issued money, etc.

3) https://www.amazon.com/Mastering-Bitcoin-Programming-Open-Blockchain/dp/1491954388 to get the idea of how bitcoin works on a low level: what is a private key, what is a wallet, how transactions propagate over the network, why mining is important for securing the network, how decentralization of consensus emerges, etc.

You are welcome. Welcome to Bitcointalk, the bitcoin forum. It would be good to always not go against the rules. For starting, you can go through this article:

What is Bitcoin? The Basics of Bitcoin Explained.

You can start to read about Mastering Bitcoin if you want to have more technical knowledge about what bitcoin is.

The forum is kinda difficult to take in all at once, so I have been trying to read the rules and regulations of the forum to understand better, but, I have been distracted with my catering business, I guess that is why it has taken me a while to make my first post.

I have a major interest in Bitcoin, and the concepts around it like, Blockchain, decentralization, how to transact peer to peer, and how Bitcoin can affect real life financial systems. I understand these concepts to an extent, but there is still a lot I am yet to know.

My first question is about resources I can use to learn about Bitcoin; what Bitcoin book can I start with as a newbie?
