I just dey imagine wetin for happen if we nor get all these POS operators. Would it have made the withdrawal and circulation of the new notes easier or harder? Na only me or anybody done notice say the 200 notes dey very scarce? Well, for me if okada riders give me old notes I dey collect as long as e nor dey plenty for my hand I nor dey fear. Anyways, one thing wey I know be say the queues and the rubissh wey people dey do because of the scarcity new notes go end this week.
I suffer for bank today, first bank nor dey gree make person enter inside to withdraw only deposit so everybody come dey use atm machine. Them still regulate the atm to dey dispense maximum of 5k in 100 naira notes. I agree say POS na part of the problem, the banks no dey try. For delta state, some banks dey sell naira notes to POS people early hours of the day when this POS people don withdraw all the money finish them go come increase their surcharge to meet up their gain. If you go POS now for my area to withdraw 5k, them go ask you weda you want old note or new notes. The two get different charges.

The situation right now is quite stressful. I had to cover an abnormal distance to find a POS to withdraw from. I didn't mind the charge after the second place I entered stated their percentage. Funny enough I was given same old notes every one is in a fuss about.
I had to spend the big notes and kept the lower denominations not affected by the change.
According to the news I heard over the radio, the briefings given to Emefiele by the house of Reps when he was summoned, the old notes can still be returned to the banks even after the deadline. It cannot however be spent on purchases or trade or during any form of commerce that requires  fiat money exchange, once the deadline is due.

Currently right now Nigeria is in a confused state, why sudden hurry to change currency. I could remembered then when they were changing of 5 Naira, 10 Naira, 20 Naira and 50 Naira Notes, there was no pressure and we were using both together with the old and new notes untill it was totally removed from circulation. No speedy change no urgent deposit and there where no deadline, it was very convenient for people to spend it and used them before sending to bank, even when they changed our 100 Naira Notes there were no pressure why is it that getting to 200, 500 and 1000 Naira Notes the entire country fell into pressure and scarcity of money and from there everything became scars including fuel, food stuff and transportation.

Just as I have been saying earlier about this change of currencies, it will still continue till the end of this year if time not taking it will gets to next year being 2024 so I don't see any reason why you and I should be in a pressure of anything unnecessary changing of notes.
They decided to change it,so all we have to do is to embrace the change  and use the new one.But what is happening recently especially today really baffled me,that POS point are charging high rate for every widraw they do
at my place,500 naira is 100  naira charge,1000 is 150,100,000 is 20,000,as in,the whole thing is so annoying. You have money in your account but you can't use it,even the charge rate alone will just discourage you.
They better do something about it,because people are really complaining bitterly, and one might just die of hunger, because you have money, but you can't buy.

Outside the change of currency, we have been having this strong issues of making withdrawal from banks ATM,  there must be qeue, we suffer to make our own money, we suffer to make deposit and also suffer to make withdrawal if not for the help of many POS attendance around.

Now CBN is now making a change of currency, that's not my problem though, my problem is the way they are implementing the processes, now the new currency is not much, the banks are seizing the old currencies, now both the new and old currencies we are not seeing anyone,

The POS agents are now using it as an advenure to extract charges from us, it's really annoying though,

Yesterday I collect #20,000 from POS and I payed I charge #2,000, the charge was really huge and annoying but I had no other choice than to pay because I really needed the cash....

Indeed Nigeria is a country with leaders who cannot keep to their words. The change of Naira has really impose what is called hard labour on all citizens just trying either to spend the Naira or deposit at bank. With all the tensions given by the government to depose the old Naira making citizens out stranded only for the government to extend the deadline. That is to say even the new Naira is need ready yet. But why the pressure of spending or depositing the old Naira making some citizens to be in a critical position.
Bro I'm surprised that you're shocked with the happenings in the country, because even pikin for the country suppose know say nothing in this country no dey work most especially in this very regime and economy
Bro buckle up and enjoy the old notes with peace of mind because the old notes go still dey in circulation if not even till the year end.
😂😂 na im be sey you go still get another last purchase with the old naira be dat as Emefiele don bow to pressure to shift the deadline to February 10th. Even the man don talk sey we fit still continue to dey deposit the old notes after the deadline sef. You go ask ursef wetin come be the need for deadline in the first place. The National Assembly really panic the guy. He has no balls at all to stick to what he said before. Dem look am for eyes, liver cut am, he chickened out at once.
Lol I think say na only me dey see how that man dey shake and no get say, number one man wey dey in charge of the country money no get weight.
WHO GOES THAT MAN SELF.
I know wetin I suffer for just this past days coupled with the fuel scarcity and hike in transport fare as a result and all of a sudden them don lift the restrictions, chai it is really unfair sha but I dey game with them, anyhow them wan do am I dey with me 🤝

You know as Nigerians dey behave, all this scarcity na plan work to spoil CBN efforts if not CBN already made adequate availability of the new note for seamlessly easy swap process and given enough time for Nigerians to prepare the mind for this new development.
*almost 90-100 days of awareness is more than enough time to get ourselves prepared ahead to avoid the current panic in the system.
*e be like say even bank sef dey vex with CBN because most of the bankers are pos owners and the new cbn law go affect their business so they go try everything possible to corrupt the process for a while, but with time the new note goes spread around.

Nigeria can not keeps their words in any activities, imagine person will deposit his last money just to get the new naira note and still be suffering and after going to POS to withdraw is another big charges again, although I really like the idea of changing the currency because it will really help us to know the criminals of the society but the suffering of poor is too much by rejecting their money when going to buy goods and foods stuff or after deposit and to get the new ones will be difficult to get, our government have to do something about it because my thinking is that the new currency is being given to the rich people again and left the poor suffering.

The management of the CBN is not to be blame for this untold hardship Nigerians are peddling with in recourse to the deposit of the old naira note in exchange for the new notes. Why do I say this; information reaching me from a security staff of one of the commercial banks I bank with, the bank security staff explained to me how the manager of the said bank I visited recently, how they hoard these new naira notes after CBN has dispatched it to them, only to exchange it with those that have deep account with them for some financial tips in return for such corrupt act.
Thereby making the ordinary Nigerians suffer to get these new notes, making the purpose for which the CBN printed the new notes a defeated expenditure.
When we get to have privy to certain informations some times, we will not be pointing underserved accusing fingers always to those at the top of the pyramid of authority.
CBN is to be blamed, introducing the new notes without strategic planning. You can't tell me that CBN doesn't know the amount of money that is deposited in banks. The transition would have been much easier by allowing the flow of the old notes in line with the new notes, whereby any old note that gets to the bank never comes out again. Within a short space of time the old notes would have gone extinct.

The changing of this old #200, #500,  and #1000 to new ones is now a big issue to the country economy.

Now, no money in circulation due to the scarsity of the new naira notes in the whole country, secondly no fuel that is another strong matter, the little ones you see for the new naira notes,
The business men that are making use of fuel will not see fuel to run their businesses, you can see that there is a lot of challenges that we are facing.

How can we come out of this is for the CBN to distribute the new naira notes to commercial banks immediately, to avoid creating more hardship in the country.

POS now collect 200 as charges, the queue to the bank is not getting any shorter and charges to do transfer is on the high.
The whole thing self just tire me, some POS operators are exploiting the situation, some operators are charging as high as 1k for 5k withdrawal transaction. My sis told me she got charged N500 for 5k withdrawal she made this evening. They are attributing the high charge rate to the stress in getting the money from the bank. I still have some old notes with me and I don't have that strength to go stand the queue at the bank, I'm using wisdom in spending the old notes.

The problem of the unavailability of new naira notes should not be attributed to the CBN Governor. He has played his part diligently well by printing enough note for circulation but the so called commercial banks are the ones selling the money to highest bidders, hence we couldn’t have enough money to use. Not everything we should blame our leaders for, sometimes we cause ourselves the problems by given ourselves unnecessary and unjustifiable conditions. I stopped abusing leaders after this new naira notes palava wey dey happen.

A country without a good leader naso em d be. I no know why em be sae everything wey this present government d do, d turn out to be difficult for her citizens. Common to change old naira notes to new naira notes, na wetin peso d stress about for em own money. I no who employ this kind strategy give the CBN governor, that make peso deposit every of em old naira notes to the bank first before getting the new naira notes. Wey be sae the for employ the former method wey dem take run the former old naira notes before this one wey they wan change so. Like the method of stop printing of old naira notes, to print more new naira notes. By so doing, the old money no go kukuma d much again for circulation, and the new naira go d much in circulation. Now this new naira of a thing don turn out to business give bankers and some POS people. Check out to get new 5000 naira notes na 500naira for charge. All in the name of getting new naira notes

My brother u dey tok 4rom di liberal perspective. Goodluck was also blame for not developing the Niger Delta to di satisfactory level. I don't support liberalism in any course. Di CBN government is to be blamed for in action and di on action. If di bank manager sit on top of the funds sent to her or im to deepens to the citizens the CBN governor had to sack the management. Now how many unemployed youths do we have in Nigerian? A lot. How many staff does CBN has few. Why CBN can't employ even ad-hoc staff to monitor the process.  Today I was interviewed by AIT TV station at the front of access Bank and I told them di reality. My brother we should not received ourselves, Nigerian problem is not from the citizens but from leaders. They can do it but corruption is...

Somehow, every cycle we try to find excuses to relieve our leaders of their responsibility; Every policy in Nigeria is terribly implemented time and time again yet nothing happens, no one takes the blame, no one gets the sack or criticisms except innocent citizens. The job of the cbn was to ensure that new notes are available in every nooks and cranny of the country; and punish anyone that works against that goal, the cbn has failed at its job and there is no excusing that
