I, too, think that are trapped on phishing site. This is the most popular way to hacking such purses. My recommendation - do not keep on your computer passwords and private keys from wallets and exchanges, and the money will be in place!

It seems that you are attacked by phishing, immediately move the remaining tokens to another address. But you have to move fast in moving another token.Be careful now many hackers where.

That's why you should always store your coins/tokens in a hardware wallet: Trezor / Nano Ledger S... It's the safest type of storage available for cryptocurrencies.

As for your MEW being hacked, surely you must have done something wrong in order to have made it vulnerable. I've had MEW for months and never had issues with tokens/coins getting stolen from my wallet.

To me, myetherwallet wallet is one of the most frequently hacked. Therefore, security must be approached very strongly. I had a case when he stole coins$2000. It really upset me. Then I decided to buy a hardware wallet LEDGER. Was very pleased with the purchase. I recommend, if you want to protect your money!

There is no way to get your money back. You are very lucky that there was so little money in your account. You need to buy a hardware wallet, such as Trezor, and use it with MEW. This is the safest way that I know.

To maintain security by protecting your private key this is very important and in the cautious in opening the web,
most importantly make sure that your private key is stored away from the internet, as already discussed earlier

one thing that everyone should jealously guard is their private key, first make sure that your private key is stores away from the internet as possible, this is the only way the hackers access your coins.

Probably you saved your private key in your pc with a file  or
Copy paste the key with a browser with malicious plunging installed.
Or you share the key By mistake to someone.

Hacking is minus to the growth of cryptocurrency. It is something that most be taken serious. With the fair knowledge I have learnt so far it is important to safeguard private keys.  Using Miramax is an improvement in MEW. It helps to monitor fake sites.

Hi,

Today I checked my wallet and I noticed someone transferred 84(50$) CS tokens from account to 0xd8490b0a7db82be84d99ff6e047ed07769b7a6eb address. I know it is impossible to get those tokens and it is not a lot but I want to know how my account got hacked. Is there any way we could track how the person got my wallet key? Any help would be appreciated.

here is the transaction https://ethplorer.io/tx/0x3fbc60b142e314da6512881cd5141c8768e6ece19fd1756c47deb37827a7a7ec#pageSize=100

Thanks!
You're not the only one because most of the members here are the same things that happened to you. Many times that I heard their Crypto was lost in their wallet the main reason is they not care their private key. Private key is the most important to secure your funds and be careful on what you doing.

In my opinion, there are several possibilities that your wallet been hacked. One of them is you probably entering a phishing site.
I recommend you to install Metacert plugin in your browser to detect phishing site. Then, always install Metamask to log in on MEW. Don't log in with your private key to MEW. It's very risky.

wow, you got stolen $ 50. It's bad, take a look at everything. Do you give passwords to your friends? Would you download the software at risk? If you have such malware, your computer has been hacked and you've lost everything. Please be careful in subsequent transactions. I can not help you.

I think you have log on from the phishing website and immediately transfer your other tokens to new MEW wallet. Just book mark your Correct Myetherwallet address with your web browser and always log on from that link only. If you can use the hardware wallet in future and it is the most secure way to store tokens. Hop this will help for you.

Considering his experience, it could be the work of a keylogger. Keyloggers are not limited to computers but phones as well. Fornow transfer the rest of your tokens which are not locked to a new wallet to prevent further loss.
I think aside what has already been said, my best bet is to login to your wallet in a sandbox. That's what I've not seen anyone suggesting but it is very difficult if not impossible for your wallet to be hacked if you bookmark MEW site in a sandbox. Hope my advise will help you

Generally myetherwallet hacks happen because of phishing websites you give your password yourself or you just clicked some exe and installed something like keylogger in your pc. These are things come to my mind first.

Metamask cannot transfer Tokens if I am not mistaken, so I am using ImToken for now. There should be other wallets out there, for me I dont like to access wallet via internet browser, there's too many keyloggers, worms out there to steal from you
