ETH started well this year, and it seems that it continues to grow, but I do not agree that it will still reach the bitcoin price. He still has a lot of problems, and ICO is not enough to boost it. And I think that ETH will have a good competition this year: NEO, Waves, ADA, DRGN, ICX.
Ethereum-based Ico project platforms will generate huge profits by 2018. Ico projects have increased the price of Ethereum. Ethereum price can not reach Bitcoin price. In December, Bitcoin price will be 20k usd, Ethereum price will be 5k usd.
The ground situation is exactly the opposite. A lot many of the ICOs are failing (even if they are very promising on paper), and many of the new ones are using platforms such as Qtum and Stellar.
In my opinion , ETH is now more hot than BTC because the explosion of ICOs base on ETH Blockchain. During the recent dip, ETH price even a little come up, all altcoins and BTC holders lose funds but ETH holders still have profit. So i think that ETH will reach BTC price this year. YES! You are right ETH has a fast transaction an it is the most power cryptocurrency in the crypto market and the most projects follow the ETH block chain technology.
We all who watch the cryptocurrencies have to see that Ethereum platform is very stable and keeps the second position on CMC very long time by now. I like it and it gives me trust in ETH.
Ethereum is not immune to market condition. As a matter, no coin is immune to Bull or Bear market! Ethereum is becoming more popular as the day goes by! The success of ether is rooted in new token economy platform. You can tokenize anything with right ideas and plan!

In my thoughts, ETH will have the chanced to become more popular as what bitcoin reached. But it cannot still surpass bitcoin because aside from not being the original cryptocurrency, ETH is just getting started. Unlike bitcoin where it was created back in 2009 and it's been recognized by some big businessmen as a good currency.
Maybe in the end of this year but I believe that Ethereum will bypass Bitcoin in the near future, since it has really great potential and is also supported by large community including big companies. I think Ethereum is one of the best coins in the cryptocurrency market For long term investment.

I think ETH is a good coin to invest on. Base on the trend we could highly see the positive potential of ETH. The price of ETH is not that high right now but I think that in the near future it will go to the moon.
My opinion about ethereum is fast trasaction and safe to buy or invest in trading site and hold for the longterm and you key to profit is patience always and ethereum is a future coin.
I also in this year 2018 the more better is the ethereum , because you can gain more money to ethereum. More ethereum that you get or you have more money to come. Ethereum is usually good because most of the ethereum is totally base to erc2 and that is ethereum.
I can't predict whether Ethereum's price will exceed bitcoin. But I think Ethereum is definitely going to be bigger than bitcoin. So ETH is my favorite coin.
Well I agree with you that many investors holding ETH now are safe and its value drops to a bit lower than the value of the bitcoin when the market goes down. But I think bitcoin will explode in value higher than ETH in the future.

Ethereum has been published since 2014, since that time it has accompany Bitcoin as crypto currencies coins which has many supporters and market participants interested in investing in it. As the progress of Crypto currencies was rapid, there are more coins created after such as LTC, Ripple, Stellar, etc.
IMO it has a lot of cool applications but also had a history of problems. In the end, I think they will be worked out and it will succeed. I'd love to see some of Ethereum's utility used on BCH. like the smart contracts or the Dapp utility
I believe that ETH is more ambitious than BTC and it has a good future and the temporary fall of the rate will soon end
Though the current ETH price may appear low but comparing the current price of 440 usd with its price this same time last year one will say its still high. So ETH will eventually rise even higher
Eth is a good hold and i am holding quite a lot of eth in my portfolio which i use to invest in ico but i don't agree with you about eth price surpassing bitcoin price this year, as at the moment bitcoin still remains the decider of market price, when bitcoin is down other coins will follow and when bitcoin is up others will follow too. I like eth but it cannot be compared with bitcoin as at this moment, maybe in the future things might change.
