My opinion about ethereum is it can be better than bitcoin. Why? it can caught people's attention and many investors will come. It can gain the trust of the people and its community can grow bigger. Ethereum has lot of capabilities to become number one coin.
Ethereum is among the greatest coins already. It takes the second place by market capitalization, and those numbers are not fake or inflated, like that with some sh*tcoins, but rather real because we all know how much ETH is used. I'm sure the popularity of Ethereum will be only rising in the future because the Ethereum blockchain is a platform for smart contracts and anyone can build decentralized applications on it, not to mention ERC20 tokens. But I'm also sure that Ethereum will never surpass Bitcoin in its popularity and hence in its market cap.
Your opinion is… correct. At least that's what I think…. I do think that ETH is one of the hottest cryptos right now, maybe even more so than BTC…. However
In my opinion , ETH is now more hot than BTC because the explosion of ICOs base on ETH Blockchain. During the recent dip, ETH price even a little come up, all altcoins and BTC holders lose funds but ETH holders still have profit. So i think that ETH will reach BTC price this year. too early to say that eth will reach bitcoin price this years, yes i do agree with a lot of ethereum potential and used for many new coin. But bitcoin is trademark of cryptocurrency, people know well bitcoin rather than any other coins in crypto world, it is a very long journey to reach bitcoin price, ethereum need more trigger to make eth price rise.
