I don't think that ethereum will reach bitcoin price this year. Although Ethereum is showing a good progress now, it still can't equal bitcoin.
I mean, it's still hard for ethereum to take over bitcoin. It needs a long time to equal bitcoin price. Ethereum is still away to go as high as bitcoin. But one day ethereum will be number one because from a technological perspective, it is far more superior.

I think ETH will continue to grow but I don't think it will get close to Bitcoin just yet, although Bitcoin price has dropped a lot recently, more than halved since December when it hit it's heights.
Still you are expecting a 900% increase to even catch Bitcoin not overtake, and that is if Bitcoin stays the same price.

although today many assume that ethereum will be the next bitcoin competitor, because according to my prediction the price of ethereum will not exceed the bitcoin price
I agree with you. I also think that Ethereum will not exceed the value of Bitcoin. Maybe it will be popular just like how popular the Bitcoin is right now, but the price will not be same as bitcoin. Somehow, it will increase too.

During the recent dip, ETH price even a little come up, all altcoins and BTC holders lose funds but ETH holders still have profit. So i think that ETH will reach BTC price this year. which you say is true, ETH currently develops by working with some startups that develop technology using digital currencies that require very expensive funds, hopefully this can trigger the ETH price increase.
In my own opinion about Ethereum this is a great cryptocurrency because mostly people encourage to buy more Ethereum and Hold it for the Future. I remember when i start to Ethereum, the price is 20$ but now Ethereum shocks me because of the price and brings a great future like a Bitcoin. And honestly, the Ethereum blockchain is so very fast to transact and has a lower fee. So Ethereum is my 2nd to the list of cryptocurrency.
MY OWN OPINION ABOUT ETHEREUM,One of the great crypto in my list.The platform is great and the price is very bullish.I remember the value of the eth before is on 600php in my currency thats 15USD for now.But am soo shocked when the price fly like a rocket and thats because of its future thats why many people engage and buy this crypto.The ethereum blockchain is quite amazing very fast when doing transaction. For me the bitcoin is the king and he is the prince.He cant level the valueof btc but then again eth has its own way and plan for the success.
Ethereum is more promising this 2018. It may not reach the price of bitcoin but it will rise higher than btc in terms of profit and percentage. There are lots of ICOs that uses ethereum as well as it is used as gas in some transcations.

Probably Ethereum right now is not as hot as Bitcoin is (and was!), but you are right here. ETH is going ahead and it becomes more profitable. Meanwhile, it won’t reach BTC price at least for a couple of years. IMHO.
I fully trust Ethereum and invest more than Bitcoin because Ethereum is the most promising currency in the market and the coin price and market value continue to increase.
I never doubt If Ethereum could surpass Bitcoin's market capital value because it is indeed the strongest Cryptocurrency in the market and it has more speed and more reliable than Bitcoin.
My opinion about Ethereum is all about it's ERC20 smart contract platform because it's widely used in development for new ICOs and Altcoins.

Actually I don't think Ethereum will reach the price of bitcoin, and her price was so huge than ethereum price. In my opinion it's impossible to ethereum reach the price of King of Crypto currency this year.
In my opinion, ETH worth long term investment, for both its technology advantage and user base(including big players like Microsoft and JP Morgan). Currently bitcoin price is falling due to some inside and outside reasons, which is a really good chance for ETH to catch up.

yes I agree with you. eth current tends to be stable. I am monitoring the market, whether the eth will be pumped. there are many surprises that will happen early this year. let us follow its development

During the ETH can still survive with features like this now
and there is no Blockchain Service to be its competitor, I think 1 ETH = 1 BTC could happen,
but if ArcBlock, Credits and other blockchain services that are currently in the ICO phase are launching, then maybe the end result will change again
BTC is still a believer because there are more investors and money involved in its activities. INH is supported by a very solid and active community, BTC is better known and still a benchmark on the sentiments and trends of cryptomarket participants.
This is the coin I know of after bitcoin. I am really interested about ETH smart contract. It changes the world.
