How do these VPN networks work? Who is providing the actual service, is it existing ISPs? ISPs in other countries? Private VPN companies? Other players? Because if VPNs are connected to others' home connections, then it is using their ISP which is going to cause congestion.

I have send Ether the successfully and have already get the MYST coin in my wallet. I have pay attention on this project for a long time and I think this project is promising since the VPN is on much demand for everyone.

I agree, one of the advantage of this project among the others is there is huge VPN market out there.
And when you think about VPN, Mysterim Network looks reasonable among the other VPN providers. Of course time will tell.

I have already read one of their press releases and this one looks very promising. This can be worth investing our money with. I am now starting to take a look at token type of coins as they can be more stable and can churn out profits on their own.

Any other examples you have for income models like this?

I have some decent coin ideas based of this model, but have no dev skills

well, in their main page, they claim that the ICO was less than 45 minutes. Damn. This is totally insane.

And lots of people couldn't participate because of some reasons. If hard card was higher it would've gone wilder  Grin

Alright so the concept seems neat, but I don't see any answers to basic questions that normal buyers would want to know.

  • I see in the whitepaper that "speed" is listed as "High/Medium" vs the Centralized "High". So we can assume right off the bat that speeds are going to be a bit slower than other VPN solutions?
  • What about latency? I would assume this might be one area this project would come out ahead since you'd be able to take much more efficient routes to your destination vs having to path to a centralized server first?
  • Will there be monthly fees for using this "VPN" (like other VPN services)? I see there's allotment for "infrastructure" in the whitepaper, so I'm assuming there will be continual upkeep even though this is decentralized?

I'm just trying to get a feel for where this will fit in the market. Most people I know want the fastest speeds/lowest latency while getting a decent amount of privacy. This project seems more focused on absolute privacy rather than performance, correct?

If you find the answers to these questions, please post it here.
