Hit these people in their wallets and they will surely fight back. Don't forget that.

Better fight for the community other then the people who's pockets get filled behind all peoples back..

You are right, like I said in the other post. This is far from ideal. Banning them will surely bring a ton of shit, just my 2 cents here. Let's see what suggestion the devs come up with. I'm sure they're discussing this heavily and thoroughly.

Why not block multipools? And only mine for the one intrested in the coin not the make a quick few bucks? This is where most coins collapse.

This must be done as matter of urgency, if multipool complain you tell them you will unblock IPs when digishield implemented and explain what happen now, if miners want to mine this coin they must use normal pool in OP list. Pools in OP list care for coin not these profit taking pools that don't give a shit.

Banning a multipool with this much power will surely result in DDOS somewhere else or a bypass on the IP-ban and therefor bad blood.

It does not seem like multipool listen to your dev and increase hash rate and increase hash time at high rate.

You have 2 choices.

1. Piss off Multipools
2. Piss off Dedicated pool miners.

Yes thats exactly what i ment with blocking multipools. If you let multipool mine NLG this coin aint worth shit after a while. Look what happends with all the other coins. Make a selection off pools that mine for the coin and not for the quick bucks?

If you don't block the multipools the pump and dump will start shortly..

I just spoke with GJ, it's not an attack. Apparently the algo that calculates the nethash is finally recognizing the hash a lot better lol. This is mostly Clevermining, but contact was made with the multipool and they've agreed to slow down the NLG mining until Digishield has been implemented. So no worries, as GJ said to me.

Are we able to confirm where the spike in hash rate came from now?
Digishield will need to be implemented ASAP, I think the coin has gotten a lot more attention this last week and you will find other multipools have joined the party besides Clevermining. It's good the devs recognised the need for this change and working on a solution but if this same spike has to occur each time difficulty drops then digishield will need to be implemented within the next few days.

The next block resolve could be as much as 15 hours by my estimations.

Also Doge and Litecoin have now got merge mining making multipools switch to other scrypt coins more aggressively.

Your calculations are wrong, it might be over 30 hours for next block to resolve unless we get very lucky!

This is a multipool, just calm down and let's not rush things. Sure this isn't ideal right now, but it's a phase we have to go through. Best thing to do is ride out the wave and add hashes anywhere we can to stabilize the network. Do not panic. GJ and other programmers are looking into what's best to implement and remember, Guldencoin is built for the long-term. So we have to overcome these short-term profit takers as well.

Yes this sucks for now, let's get through this. And don't forget to sign and help your friends and family sign the petition to get Guldencoin on Coinbase Wink http://guldenpetitie.nl

You are correct, I am just saying all resources must be put on this and go with the best solution for the coin. I will sign the petition now.

I think the team will need to put all there resources into getting this update completed and postpone any other projects they actively working on. The coin will lose miners this way and block resolves might even take 1 week if left like this for another month, lets hope this major spike was a once off.

Someone identified it before as the profit switching pool Clevermining and this pool has 200 - 300 GH mining power from witch they are pointing a certain amount to those coins that looks the most profitable at the moment; they are switching away as soon as the difficulty raised too much leaving the normal miners with far too high difficulty until it has leveled back again.
KGW reacts too slow to those types of hashrate swings, thats why devs are implementing some version of DGW which was developed to handle exactly those problems.

Network hashrate 68 GH/s atm.  Shocked Pricelevel with this hashrate should be at 5000 sat at least  Cheesy The other way around?
Next blockfind will take a while.

Is this true mining or attack on the network, unless some group is planning to pump the price very soon?

looks like attack.... but who knows.. we'll see Smiley
