I've purchased a whole bunch of candy, and a few chai latte's and some Indian food. All in-person transactions, I've actually never spent any online.
Woot for those of us who truly believe in and ACTUALLY spend it! I have tipped multiple people for good advice and replaced a fried 7950 with a 270x thanks to TD! Just before this past crash too, so I feel fortunate...its like I got 15% off...feels good.

I feel like the vast majority of people are investors right now. Is anyone actually using bitcoin to buy things? If so, what? I've purchased other cryptocurrencies with it, but that's it so far...

I was recently intending to pay for move out cleaning services in XBT, but they took my initial deposit by CC and then charged the rest to my card shortly after the service was provided before we worked out the details. (I didn't initiate the offer to pay in bitcoin, they advertise it right on their site. I think the original request to pay in bitcoin was simply forgotten between scheduling the booking and the work done several weeks apart.)
On a side note, I just moved continents, and am hoping to buy some food via the takeaway.com network sometime soon too!
(If more retailers/non-US retailers were accepting bitcoin, I'd continue to use it and just replenish my stocks as I spend.)

Also I'm the service manager at a motorcycle shop so I generally can get things for cheaper prices through our wholesale catalogs than I can with bitcoin. Though I've also talked with the owner about bitcoin and we will be accepting it in the future when we launch our ecommerce site.

I have the problem that many folks have: I AM HODLING. I feel bad spending any bitcoin. It's almost the complete opposite of fiat for me, which I know is liable to crash any day, so I spend it as much and as fast as possible for goods.

Apple is certainly a mess of a company. It does something well then sucks the life out of it and steals others ideas to brand it's own al-la MS.

Iphone 5c (before apple banned the blockchain app). Hopefully the new NSA proof phone will hit the market soon and that will be the next thing I'll buy with bitcoin mates
