The amount of time you are using bluetooth doesn't really matter. If you are using it at all, there theoretically is an attack vector.
Well, all this time I thought that it could be attacked or something when it's active. The chances of that are so minuscule that it wouldn't happen. We are all talking in theory for sure. Thank you for further assuring the incredible device is worth it.  Shocked

I'm not worried about Bluetooth hacking or something, it's not turned on for a long time and it's just a few minutes when it is turned on.

The amount of time you are using bluetooth doesn't really matter. If you are using it at all, there theoretically is an attack vector.

I say theoretical, because ledger's nano is build the way that even if it is communicating with a compromised device (which also includes a compromised connection such as a hijacked bluetooth connection), it still can not be exploited.
If you double check the amount and recipient address, you should be fine regardless of whether bluetooth or cable is being used to communicate.

I have been using my Nano X for a couple of months now, and I have installed multiple apps, just because of wanting to try the capacity. I did not encounter problems when installing the most popular coins. I have arrived up to 10 apps, still no difficulty. I remembered using my Nano S and had reached the limit of the capacity when I installed around four apps if IIRC.

I would still recommend Nano X for everyday use. It's not just the capacity that you should consider.  The portability and the capability of managing apps right in your phone if you need it, it's easy. No OTG cable required, as long as you have a smartphone. I'm not worried about Bluetooth hacking or something, it's not turned on for a long time and it's just a few minutes when it is turned on.

The "up to 10 apps" of the Nano S will be the same as the "up to 100 apps" of the Nano X - if you install the "correct" apps. Install bitcoin and all its forks and clones and you'll be able to fit on loads of apps because they all use the same base code. Install apps from totally different coins such as bitcoin, ethereum, and monero, and you will rapidly run out of space.

There doesn't seem to be a definitive answer yet to how many apps from different (rather than derivative) coins it can hold at once. This post on reddit seems to suggest you can install at least the 20 most common coin apps, which would presumably include BTC, ETH, XRP, XMR, XLM, BNB, ADA (none of which share their base code) and a bunch of others.

Honestly, do you really have 50-100 different coins worth keeping on your Ledger?
This. There aren't even 5 good altcoins worth buying, let alone 50 or 100. Who needs this much storage space? And who is transferring 20 different coins in and out of their Ledger every day that makes the 20 seconds it takes to install a different app such a huge deal?

DarthCanada, if you wanted to have more apps at the same time it was logical to buy a Ledger Nano X, regardless of the higher price my opinion is that it is always worth investing in something new and better, and Nano X is definitely better in terms of storage then Nano S. Some data say that Nano S is have only 320kb for storage, while on the other hand Nano X is have 2048kb.

I also think that up to 100 apps in same time is just a marketing trick, this of course depends on the size of the apps installed - but 6 time more storage space certainly allows much greater number of installed applications at the same time.

I've never had more than 3-4 apps installed on my Nano S but I have read stories about people using up to 10 different apps.

It is easy to check if story is true or not, just delete all apps and try to install those :

Well I have the following installed with latest firmware: BTC BCH BTG PEERCOIN ZEC ZEN LTC DGB KMD RIPPLE so 10 apps could not install nimiq as space was full so take it that is the limit

I've never had more than 3-4 apps installed on my Nano S but I have read stories about people using up to 10 different apps. The Bitcoin and Ethereum apps take a lot of space and like ETFbitcoin mentioned if you install apps that depend on the Bitcoin app it is very likely that you can get close to those numbers. If not you will run out of storage.

Honestly, do you really have 50-100 different coins worth keeping on your Ledger? I don't know anyone that does.
It seems like opting to buy a car that goes 260 km/h although you will never need to drive it that fast.

According to the FAQ, the Nano X has 5 times more storage capacity than the Ledger Nano S and the number of apps that can be installed totally depend on the size of these apps.

I'm really not sure how many because I personally don't have one(and I don't need more than 2-3 apps anyway, but the bluetooth functionality is definitely handy), but I'm sure it's at least 50(though I don't know why the heck would you really hold that much variety of coins). I haven't heard one complaint anywhere yet concerning the device's memory, so that's a good sign I guess.

I just received my Nano S and what a shame I can only install 4 apps and its full. I know I can delete them and install others to transfer coins, but that is annoying. How many apps can you have simultaneously on the Nano X REALLY ? (Ledger says 100 but I don't believe them)
