I just started up a fresh daemon and synced up to the longest chain. What exactly is the issue?

What's not working the pool? Or trying to get the chain to sync?
pool at CoinWorld.us is stuck at 22010, causing cryptsy alert system to show a fork in chain.
current block height is ~22357
in order to sync the chains i'm asking that all users replace their conf files temporarily with the following.
this will tell your client to only connect to my node, at which point your client will download the current valid chain. Once your client is synced you can exit and replace your conf file with the original. thanks and have a great day.
