I received an update from Alpha Technology that they are expecting to ship our scrypt miner by the end of Q2.  I also read that BFL is predicting their liquid cooled miners to experience as much as a 50% increase in hashrate over what was stated, with deliveries expected to begin at the end of next month.  CoinTerra is expecting to ship our miner at the end of next month as well.  Exciting times are once again on the horizon.

Thanks for the update! The middle of this year should be great for Nasty Mining.

Is there anything wrong with me setting my donation address to the coin?

There is nothing wrong with that. But if you send BTC to the coin and later decide you need that BTC you must peel off hologram to get the private key. Something to be aware of.

Hmm.. Good point.  I'll have to think it through a little more..
Thanks for pointing that out Nonnakip, I think I'll just send some to it manually until I get it where I want it.

You might want to set a payout threshold of 0.001 BTC or higher to avoid dust on your coin.

So I just received my coin!  It's awesome (too bad the mail system broke the plastic seal slightly.. I'm not too worried about that..

Anyway, just double checking... Is there anything wrong with me setting my donation address to the coin?

Been using middlecoin.com with some GPUs a while ago, he does some amazing trading

At a given point 3 GPUs worth 300 EUR (+- 1.2MH/s) were outperforming 50 GH/s of BTC Asics costing me *a lot* more

This is why I suggested moving the existing GPUs to a switching pool. Profitability has been running 50-100% higher than mining LTC directly for a while now.

Our Viper 25MH/s Scrypt Miner has been ordered and we are confirmed to be in Batch 1 with shipping currently scheduled in Q2/Q3.  Funds to secure this pre-order came from what remained of our alt coin sales.

Would you consider trying middlecoin.com, hashco.ws, or switchercoin.com with that beast?

It's a little early to speculate on how we will be mining with it.  I'll keep our options open.

Is only the 30% covered with alt coins, or the total value?

Only the 30% has been paid so far.  We still have ~0.5 BTC and ~$2,000 left from the alt coin proceeds.  This will most likely not cover the entire remaining amount for the scrypt miner when it comes due, but we have already started rebuilding our alt coin stash for this purpose.
Awesome!

I have to say, I love the flexibility and forward thinking you all show!

Distribution 278468 is complete. We thank our donators.

This distribution is bigger because it includes 1.09256291 BTC as donation from mint sales. This slipped into distribution because of human error when adding mint fee payments. But I think nobody complains that some donations slip out early.

There is currently 8.48243709 BTC donations from mint sales I still hold until NASTY MINING percentage is decided.

Note that nastyfans tracking ownership of minted seats only matters for voting. Donations to minted seats do not care about owner.

Of course to be purely factual about it that is true. There is also a "fun" aspect to all this that should not be dismissed; when people get the coins as gifts they want to go online and track the unpaid balance for "their" seats, participate i the pools, etc.

I agree completely and welcome new members. I wanted only to point out that a account is not a requirement to own a minted seat. It is only a requirement to vote.
