2 more BFL SCs were ordered yesterday bringing the total amount of hashing power on order to 320,000MH/s.
What is this on a per share basis?

Currently, it is 49.5MH/s ordered per share sold (mostly due to me putting up BTC for the first 6 SC Singles out of my own funds).  However, more shares will be sold and more equipment will be ordered in the coming months.

So will the amount of shares sold return the hash rate of each share to about 20MH/s, or is it possible that the rate would stay high like this due to other equipment being ordered?

Im eager to know, who the 1000 shares investor is.
@Unknown care to reaveal yourself?
It was actually 2,600 shares that were purchased at 0.5BTC/share by the mystery investor.  Not my place to name him though.   Wink

@ Nasty have you done a liquidity planning?
With the newest issue of stocks i'd love to see some more transparency regarding future investements, share issues etc.
I haven't done much thought with liquidity planning yet.  I'm still in hardware purchasing mode.

I've emailed Butterfly Labs asking why there was only 1 when the order was for 2.  Hopefully the next one shows up soon.

I received a response from Alicia at Butterfly Labs today stating that the 2nd Single from our 1st order should be shipped tomorrow and delivered later this week.

Use GPUMAX, as long as we don't have some of the timeout errors other have been reporting

I did notice we were getting some errors when a new block hit the network on GPUMAX.  It was causing a slight slowdown every few minutes.  I set cgminer to load-balance between GPUMAX, ozcoin & eclipse.  That seems to have solved the problem.

One of our originally ordered BFL Singles showed up in the mail today (no extra fan on the bottom).  I've emailed Butterfly Labs asking why there was only 1 when the order was for 2.  Hopefully the next one shows up soon.  In any event, we are now hashing away at 1664MH/s.

Nice.  Slowly but surely...

MaxBTC also offers DGM and NMC merged mining with 2-factor auth; adding 0.75% 'donation' enables automatic payout. I make use of GPUMAX with a private setting for each of those three pools and set as failovers for cgminer, including a local bitcoind - just in case Smiley

MaxBTC is also a favorite of mine.

Thanks for the first dividend payout. This is the start of a great mining venture!

Very cool.  Did you get a confirmation on the rev3?  I had two orders of five, and only one came with an extra fan on the bottom.  I thought that one was an earlier rev.

From what I've read elsewhere on the forums, it's normal for some rev3's to have a extra fan, and this isn't exclusively something for older versions. The explanation from BFL was about how making silicon-products is more or less an organic process, and therefor not all Singles come out the same, and some need extra cooling to perform to spec. I'm really glad that mine only has one, since it's standing in my bedroom!

P.S. Ognasty, i'm really stoked to see that this security is now up and running, thanks for your effort!

I never looked into it.  It works and Butterfly Labs will accept it as a trade in for an ASIC, so I'm happy either way.  I should be getting 2 more of them on Monday and I'll let you know if they have the extra fans or not.

As backup-pool I would like to recommend eclipsemc. They seem to have nearly equal conditions as ozcoin.
I will look into eclipsemc.  It is run by one of our GLBSE competitors, but I'm open to having a backup, or even a few backup pools.  You can never have too many backups.

+1 for Oz and Eclipse.

Example cgminer pool config:
Code:
"pools" : [
        {
                "url" : "http://gpumax.com",
                "user" : "u",
                "pass" : "p"
        },
        {
                "url" : "http://pool.maxbtc.com",
                "user" : "u",
                "pass" : "p"
        },
        {
                "url" : "http://ozco.in",
                "user" : "u",
                "pass" : "p"
        },
        {
                "url" : "http://eclipsemc.com",
                "user" : "u",
                "pass" : "p"
        },
        {
                "url" : "http://localhost:8332",
                "user" : "u",
                "pass" : "p"
        }
],

With that configuration, about 2% of additional share submissions are accepted by failover pools.

Great answers, thanks OgNasty.

I would request to be kept up to date on the current status of the MH/share.

Thanks!

Also I assume that the dividends will not payout at the contracted 20Mh/share yet.  Do we have a count of what the Mh/share will be for these first tiny payouts?
Please do not look too much into tomorrow's dividend payment.  It will only be for a few hours of hashing at about 0.2MH/s per share.  Next week's dividend should be about 0.65MH/s per share for a majority of the week.  Then we're back to waiting on more BFL Single shipments for further increases.  I would also like to stress that this is an actual mining operation and not a theoretical bond payout like a majority of other mining investments on the GLBSE.  That being said, variance and luck will play a role in our dividend payments.

Do you run the BFL-Software? Did you consider using cgminer instead?
No, I don't run the BFL-Software to mine, only to run tests and install bitstreams.  We will be using cgminer as I am a big fan of the software.

Also now that we are getting to business... did you have any plans of putting up a status page OgNasty so we can check on the farm status?
I did secure NastyMining.bit in order to have a farm status page.  I have LOTS of ideas I would like to implement and I have had discussions with an extremely talented programmer in order to bring those ideas to reality.  It will happen eventually, but when it comes to working for free, things take time.  What I can tell you is that it will be done right, and it will be awesome.
