Figured I'd stop in to say "hi"!

Hi kroneko! Good to hear from you again. One of the original nastyfans members!

At some point we should put together a timeline if we haven't already showing both hardware hash rate, and then match it up against core historical moments in bitcoin.

That is a good idea. Maybe me and OgNasty can put something together for the 5-year nastyfans anniversary this year.

Howdy Everyone!  Figured I'd stop in to say "hi"!  Exciting times we're back into again, happy to see the continued successful operation of the group and not to mention the diversification and other nice things this group has managed!   Jeez though, thinking back to 2012 when a lot of this all got kicked off...been a fun and crazy good time throughout all of it.   Anyway, just figured I'd drop a note and say hi to any old school investors here, and to also answer any questions any new or potentially interested folks may have.  At some point we should put together a timeline if we haven't already showing both hardware hash rate, and then match it up against core historical moments in bitcoin.  I look at my silver seat coin from so long ago and keep it with pride!

yeesh, my first post on here was September 8th, 2012!  :-D  Where did the time go?

Anbar Preiss from Cryptoinsider.com was kind enough enough to publish this article about the NastyMining Green Energy Project.

Does this help you generate and engrave 3rd party keys?

Do you still offer this service??

Does going green help me generate and engrave 3rd party keys?  Not really sure what you mean by that...  I generate keys on a personal computer I built in 2011 when I decided I wanted to get into Bitcoin.  I've paid for any upgrades out of pocket, most recently with this purchase to upgrade the ram.  I also pay my electricity bill out of pocket ($380 last month even with the solar) so going green likely has very little to do with my engraving & key generation operation, not that either of those tasks uses much electricity to begin with.  Hopefully that answers your question?

While I offer 3rd party key generation to certain users I trust, I question why you would ask this.  The last coin I engraved (NaTTyMiNd) you ordered, demanded it be sent before you made payment, then you refused to pay and returned it when you found out I was the one who engraved the keys, so I find this question puzzling.

The coins look quite nice.

Is there a rough price in mind??

I would be in for 1 Cheesy

Thanks

Where is this? I'm around Maricopa AZ, would love to buy someone a beer to chat BTC. Wink

It's in your area.  For security reasons I don't divulge the exact location.

Update on the Green Energy Project:

Tesla Powerwall engineering plans have been completed and the site plan is below.  The next step will be submitting permits.

Gunbot Sponsorship Announcement - Tesla Powerwall 2

Gunbot The Automatic Profit Generator for Kraken, Poloniex, Bittrex has sponsored NastyMining with the purchase of a Tesla Powerwall 2.  Having a battery backup will enable us to go "off the grid" with the ability to mine through power outages as well as allowing for us to store excess off-peak energy production to feed back into the grid at peak rates.  This is another great step forward for NastyMining, as we continue our quest to be a best in class socially responsible Bitcoin mining operation.

The Powerwall is a rechargeable lithium-ion battery stationary energy storage product manufactured by Tesla, Inc.  The Powerwall is intended to be used for home energy storage and stores electricity for solar self-consumption, time of use load shifting, backup power, and off-the-grid use.  The larger Powerpack is intended for commercial or electric utility grid use and can be used for peak shaving, load shifting, backup power, demand response, microgrids, renewable power integration, frequency regulation, and voltage control.

I ordered 2x 13.5TH/s S9s from Bitmain for less than I previously sold the single 11TH/s unit for.  I'm going to sell the remaining 11TH/s S9 to complete the upgrade.  My goal is to end up with 0.5 BTC and 5TH/s more than we started with.

I was able to sell the other S9.  This means our hashrate will be low for the next month or so as we are down to only a single R4, but we came out ahead 0.55 BTC in the sale and will have an additional 5TH/s as a result.  Luckily, p2pool hit a block this morning, so we may not end up missing out on much in the way of mining rewards either.  Our L3+ miner is also not far off and I've begun accepting orders for the 10oz gold / 250 seat Minted Seat coins, which may help provide donations in the meantime.
