Just wondering about the 10.29 bitcoin that is listed as current holdings. Are there also BCH and BTG that remain unsplit from them?  Is there a plan in place for how to spend the current holdings for more miners or other infrastructure?

The BCH were dumped immediately and raised around $2,300.  Probably not the best action in hindsight, but I plan to immediately dump the BTG also.  The funds were used for various expenses relating to NastyMining operations.  Some of these expenses include the purchase of multiple power supplies, a replacement fan, a low voltage ac converter, ram/GPU upgrades for the vanitygen rig, 3rd party design fees, exchange/withdrawal fees, ducting supplies, and uncovered insurance/shipping costs relating to the NastyShop.

I think using the BTG for more miners and other infrastructure sounds like a good idea.  I have been planning to do just that.  There will be more news on this front in the coming week.

Ok thanks.

Remember the Prisma miners that would not start as the temps got colder. Could not even run them in the winter in the lab here. Had to bring them inside.

By the way a bit of interesting info on miner problems: I've been working on A6 and 741 type miners and I've noticed something interesting. Failures seem to result in chips that look like this:

If you look carefully you will see the solder bridge that formed around the middle of the side of the chip due to solder extrusion. This is caused by defective manufacturing and way too much heat on the chip. These can open up with heat, which may be why R4's and such need heat to get them running sometimes.

Never dull in miner-land. I'm not sure if this can be fixed by running miners slower, but it is interesting.

Very interesting.  I always run my miners underclocked to preserve their life, so I'm not sure if running slower would have helped in my scenario.  Interesting to see a potential issue that is occurring though.

[policy change] extend grace periods to twelve months

Does this mean that it would be twelve months before an account was on probabtion, then another twelve months until an account was suspend and then, finally, after three years of inactivity an account would be terminated?

That is my interpretation.

There is no other way to interpret it. The text describing policy change is clear. The meaning of policy text is clear.

1 poll opened

[policy change] extend grace periods to twelve months

This is repeat of our first ever poll. Perhaps it passes this time almost 5 years later.

Hey there. I attempted to log into my Nastyfans account today to find out that it had been terminated. I haven't had the account more than three months so I couldn't have lapsed into probation, let alone suspension or termination. If anyone could advise I would appreciate it as I don't know why this occurred nor would I like to loose the seats I have associated with that account.

Thanks!

If you register an account and never buy a seat or you sold all the seats held by your account, it will be terminated after a certain period of time as it is no longer considered an active account.

After registering my account I purchased 4 seats plus a minted seat. I have logged in regularly and even got a S3 from a friend to add what little hashing power to the pool I could.  I'm not sure what I would have done to be considered not active. As I mentioned earlier, the account is less than 3 months old so I could not, according to Nastyfans policy, have been terminated due to time. I jumped in and tried to be as active as I could, any further clarification as to why my account would have been terminated would be greatly appreciated!

You would need to provide your account details to nonnakip and have him look into the situation.  Maybe send him a PM or a message including your email address using the form at https://nastyfans.org/post -  I can only guess as to what the issue could be.

I asked nonnakip, issue is resolved. User error was the culprit, did not know the username was case sensitive. Thanks nonnakip for the quick response!
