Thank you nonnakip.

I'm sure you have spent many hours and much energy in improving the Nasty operation when you had many other things you would like to have done instead.

Nastyfans appreciate OgNasty and nonnakip.

I don't think there will be an opportunity to buy secondhand from Bitmain for quite some time.  I also think that the first few batches have been littered with problems.  When they start offering full speed units for below 2.5 BTC, I will start looking at making a purchase.  I'm open to opinions on this as well.  I am hoping that we'll see a price spike provide a good buying opportunity at some point, but with us being down to only 1 S7, I am highly motivated to increase our hashrate.  However, I don't want to overspend our savings on miners just to have to run them downclocked because of the summer heat and hardware bugs still being worked through.

Agree with your assessment. Disappointing to see the hardware problems. If I had bought into batch 1 (glad I didn't, but seriously considered it) I would be putting any more purchases on hold until the problems are worked out.

Is it safe to assume that there are only 30,000 seats?

Yes.  The 30,000 seats is a fact.  No assumption necessary.

I have sold another S7 in preparation for upgrading to the next generation of mining equipment.  This leaves us with only 1 S7 hashing while we await favorable S9 pricing.

What would be a favorable price? And are you looking to buy second hand or from Bitmain?

Thanks for the info. And yeah, buying the first batch of any miner is always such a gamble to say the least. But a price spike would be a good chance to get some hardware!

And great to see all these transactions going through Nonnakip!

Can someone explain to me how this site works, I have read the OP and the website itself at least a half dozen times but I still dont fully understand it.

What I do understand

A minted seat gets you cloud mining basically?

As simplified as possible...

A seat entitles you to 1/30,000th of 75% of donations received at the NastyFans address.  NastyFans donations come from Minted Seat sales, NastyMining mined coins, or other community donation efforts.

It is in no way cloud mining.  Cloud mining is where they collect your money, claim inflated costs, and then shut down your contract when it is no longer profitable.  With NastyFans there are no operating costs and it won't be shut down unless people lose interest in the project.

Is the NastyFans website still not working for showing minted coins donations on hold?  My seat doesn't show any distributions.

Thanks!

In this time P2Pool had long period of no solved blocks. And no donations to nastyfans in this perioud. This uncovers interesting situations. The only reason this distribution is above 0 BTC is because one member returned from probation to normal status. Even 25% donation to NASTY MINING did not meet minimum payout threshold.

bc.i is just filtering out low fee transactions that they think might take a very long time to confirm.

bc.i is complaining about small outputs not low fees. I now see that I accidentally lowered minimal threshold to 0.00005 BTC. That is too low. I will increase it to 0.0005 BTC.

I wait a couple days to see if transaction is processed as is. If not then I can test double-spending with the new transaction server.  Wink

bc.i is just filtering out low fee transactions that they think might take a very long time to confirm. Once the transaction has at least 1 confirmation, it will show up on bc.i (and all other up to date block explorers).

The last transaction resulted in the same error message on bc.i, however it did confirm in due time.
