What kind of credits do I earn when I link my miner to my nastyfans account? Also Is there any other way to link without providing a signature?

You get NastyCredits.  Smiley  They are basically worthless at this time, but we are going to work to provide them some value at some point in the distant future.  My hope is that they grow into a tool that can be used as a sort of Nasty line of credit and are eventually purchased for utility, entertainment, & speculation.

You would have to get an official response from nonnakip for your second question, but one of my requests was that no identifying information be required in the signature so you shouldn't feel opposed to signing your address.  You should also get in the habit of owning your private keys if you do not already.
Thanks for the answer, I've sent a pm to nonnakip regarding the issue. Nastyfans is a pretty amazing project with a future that I'd love to be a part of.

However, looking at https://nastyfans.org/members.csv any idea why the member count went from 307 to 614 overnight this month?

I think we should push our live discussions to once per quarter.  Perhaps we can even offer credits or some other incentive to encourage participation.

The current situation is that we have an Avalon6 & Antminer S7 mining and 2 more S7s on the way from Bitmain.  This will bring our hashrate up to a new high of 17TH/s by the end of the year.  Black Friday resulted in the sale of 10-1oz Minted Seats and 2-5oz Minted Seats.  The new 2oz silver Minted Seats have gone into manufacturing and are expected to ship within the next 8 weeks.  I am also working on a new fundraiser to immediately raise a substantial donation to NastyFans...

Our ISP relocates the server hosting nastyfans.org.

Expect nastyfans.org to be down from 2015-12-02 18:00 UTC until 2015-12-03 06:00 UTC.

I ask NastyPool miners to change to US node (us-east01.nastyfans.org) during that time. If you use US node as fallback your miner will switch automatically.

Thanks for posting this info here , I was wondering why I couldn't get on the site.

Because you underclock it or because it cant reach 3.5th ?

They only get about 3.3TH/s.  You need ideal (read as freezing) conditions in order to get the 3.5TH/s, as the fan needs to basically be off.  There are a bunch of threads discussing the Avalon6.  I think if you can handle noise, the S7 is the clear choice for miners currently.

That's some good wheelin' and dealin' you're doing there! I'd like to see how the Avalon6 performs.

It's currently hashing away.  It is nice and silent, but only gets about 3.2TH/s.

You may or may not have noticed that we have had a significant drop in hashrate recently.  I took advantage of an opportunity to sell 2 of our S7s and used the BTC to purchase 2 replacement S7s along with an Avalon6.  This will give us a higher hashrate (>17TH/s), as well as more equipment to resell down the line at the cost of slightly reduced earnings for the next couple weeks.  The S7s I sold also were not the greatest performing devices, while the one remaining unit runs cool with no errors at the 612 frequency.

Cool! Thanks for staying ontop of things!

NastyPool started the NastyPoP payout method 1 year ago. In the year NastyPoP paid out 97.4% of mining expectations. A total of 79.57185729 BTC was paid out to NastyPoP miners. nastyfans thanks the NastyPoP miners (big and small) for your support on our pool.

97.4% isn't too shabby.  Especially considering the bad luck as of late.  Thank you for all the hard work you put into this, as well as nastyfans.org.  While I had hoped for more community participation on NastyPool, I am quite happy to see it continue to provide such an excellent mining option.

I bet it has been asked before, but how do you secure the private keys of minted seats? I mean they have to be sent to the goldsmith. And how do we know that you don't just save the private keys on your computer? Sorry if this has been asked before.

I engrave the coins myself so there is no goldsmith concern.  The only people with access to the machine generating private keys are myself and nonnakip.  I delete the private keys instantly after engraving and will make sure that the hard drive will never see the light of day.  This is all my word of course, so you would have to trust me.

So that hard drive is not connected to the internet?
Anyhow I got my 1oz minted seat today and I must say it looks pretty fabulous. Thanks nasty for making this shit possible.

I don't want to go too much into our security practices for obvious reasons, but I trust that it would take someone smarter than myself with physical access to the drive in order to attempt something malicious.  I would not recommend trying to get that physical access.
