Competition elevates us all and I would love some that lasted longer than a pump with empty promises and rug pull scam (remember Friends of Satoshi? LOL).

Are you implying that FOS was a scam? They voluntarily disbanded since they needed certain licenses to run as a business, is Nasty Fans registered with the SEC?

FOS website looks very professional and pleasant to view, instead of trying to badmouth other bitcoin projects to boost your own ego, id fix your 1994 looking website you have up.

Also vanity addresses are used by quite a few more than just you. Even in my simplistic small business have generated hundreds of vanity addresses for various projects other than coins even.

That's awesome.  I rarely ever see them used.  Even simplistic short ones would be cool to see more frequently from creators.  Casascius was probably the first I saw using them (before me I believe and on a much larger scale) and I just added utilizing them for a numbering system on top of labeling a coin series.  Any links to information on how you utilize vanity addresses in your business?  I would love nothing more than to learn new ways people are using Bitcoin and interacting with the blockchain.  I wouldn't judge them on whether or not they've outpaced Bitcoin's unmatched growth either.  Nothing has, so that would be a silly criticism.  Diversification in itself is it's own benefit worth paying for as any investor will attest to so creating unique methods of achieving this are always beneficial and appreciated by me.

I am actually looking at buying the MPX-95 but am wanting to test the new laser for metal engraving first. It might be able to do what I want and I can save the $ that would be spent on the MPX-95

to be clear - I am not questioning the quality of work on these coins. They look wonderful. Just questioning the statement of "hours hunched over an engraver" as that makes it sound like they are done by hand.

Testing on a cheaper laser engraver isn't a bad idea.  Those are probably closer to the stick the coin in and press a button vision you have in your head.  I think you'll be a bit surprised how much time and effort goes into engraving hundreds of metal objects with an actual engraver without scuffing the coins or having misaligned engravings.  I would be most flattered to see others elevate their creations from paper wallets after all of these years to join me in the world of engraved metal.  I'd love to see others using vanity addresses and providing all the information about the coins on updating feeds that are publicly available.  I'd really get excited if someone created something that also received BTC over the blockchain via a separate organization.  When I look at the physical wallets market over the last 10 years, I see next to no innovation from Casascius coins except using the virgin BTC block rewards to fund coins.  I would love nothing more than for someone to create something that pushed me to innovate further.  From my perspective, Minted Seats have 0 competitors of any kind and never have over their 9 year existence.  It really would be my biggest accomplishment to get people on this forum to stop attacking my innovations out of jealousy and start trying to competing with them.  Competition elevates us all and I would love some that lasted longer than a pump with empty promises and rug pull scam (remember Friends of Satoshi? LOL).

I simply asked if you still did it as shown in the video that you posted to YouTube which is a computer controlled engraver so not really requiring being “hunched over the engraver”. So, I thought maybe you went to some method of hand engraving. No need to get so passive aggressive. You should get out more if you think everyone is using paper wallets still. Also vanity addresses are used by quite a few more than just you. Even in my simplistic small business have generated hundreds of vanity addresses for various projects other than coins even.  You do good work - no one questioned that. But get real - minted seats have no competitors because hodling is better roi than buying seats. Yes the fiat value has increased/exceeded what the fiat value was when they were first sold - but every single seat holder would have been better off  to hodl the btc they spent buying seats vs buying the seats

I can’t say I’m looking forward to spending hours hunched over an engraver

are you now doing these by hand? hence the hunched over an engraver?

I thought you had a machine where you just place the coin and let it do the work

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uLUKXpaAlHM

I haven't changed my process although I am using a different engraver then what is seen in the video you posted.  I wish it was as easy as sticking it in a machine and pressing a button.  I'm guessing there would probably be more people out there offering coins like this if it were.  Check around and see what these sort of services will cost you and you may have a new respect for the value I offer...  There's actually a lot of work that goes into engraving these coins so precisely.  Rest assured I'll be spending a great deal of effort over many hours to get these done for the winners with the same great quality that is expected of my works.

I guess I was asking if you are using a machine to do it or actually hunched over hand engraving like your post made it sound.

editing to avoid double post - I asked previously but no one answered - what "homepage" is nonakip talking about? can someone post a link? is the page we need an account for? but if we have minted seats and no online seats our accounts are deleted? removed - addressed in another thread.

Very cool giveaway. I have a set of this coin bought to a person and not thru shop. Can I still participate in the lottery? Does my coin will still receive share for the profit of this giveaway?

How can I register my seat on nastyfans website? I already created an account. Thank you

I believe the below quotes from this thread should answer your questions.

If you have coins 2nd hand. Any way to get them on your name?

Yes, although it's somewhat important to note that it is only for looks and doesn't serve much of a purpose.  The best way to get coins in your name is to be logged into nastyfans.org with your user account when you make purchases in the NastyShop.  The next way is to provide your coin's public address to nonnakip along with your username and ask that they be linked.  You can do this by sending him a message here: https://nastyfans.org/post

Minted Seats are pooled together for the lotto so that it isn’t necessary to peel them and prove ownership to participate. This was the best workaround I could come up with.

Mine just say it goes to the collective group.  Nothing specific for just myself.  I still think this is really a cool thing. Cool Cool Cool Cool

Thanks for checking. You must not own any online seats. It’s somewhat important to note that while Minted Seat coins are a cool collectible I invented to sell as a fundraiser for seats and they do contain seats, the organization itself is built around online seats. Many people confuse the two because there is obvious overlap, but anyone could create a similar product and point seats at it. We’d likely even support and promote the idea if they shared donations.

Is this up to date and current?

https://nastyfans.org/mint.json

Could you explain the difference between up to date and current so that I can make sure to address your questions accurately?

I have no reason to believe any information provided by nonnakip is anything but accurate. I would say if you believe something he provides isn’t being accurately reflected, contacting him privately to make a bug report would be the appropriate course of action.

what is the difference between https://nastyfans.org/mint.json

and : https://www.nastyfans.org/list.csv

or are those 2 linked together showing all seat holders and not just online seat holders?

Just clearing up any confusion some are asking about.

thanks!

The mint.json link shows information about Minted Seats. The list.csv shows information that online seat owners opt in their settings to make public. Both are efforts to maintain transparency while respecting the privacy of seat owners as much as possible. I’m appreciative of nonnakip for offering these updating feeds and I utilize the list.csv as a way to show how many seats are owned by NastyMining.

Running low on time to grab yourself an online seat from the auction at https://NastyFans.org for a chance to win one of these 100 .999 silver coins being given away. Keep your eye on an announcement from nonnakip in the NastyFans thread to know exactly when the lottery tickets have been given out. Won’t be much longer now…

EDIT:

Lottery tickets for giveaway contest sponsored by NASTY MINING are distributed. You see your tickets on bottom of "Home" page.

Tickets 1-2955 are the collective group for all minted seats.

The lottery drawing is for block 686117. This is maybe this time on next Friday.

Good luck nastyfans!

The tickets are out there!  Good luck everyone!

As an owner of some seats I would be super excited to win another one of these beautiful coins.  Especially a 2 or 5 oz. would be super cool. Cool Cool Cool

Me too.  I won't be mad at all to add some more Minted Seats to the collection.  I think people might be surprised how difficult it will be to talk the owners of these coins into selling them once they are no longer available from the shop...  A great deal of members who are used to seeing these being offered at regular price for years might be caught off guard if they were expecting to own some one day.  Alas, there is no time like the present.

Your chance to enter the giveaway and win a free coin by purchasing a seat from the auction at nastyfans.org is rapidly running out.  Grab one soon if you want in!  Good luck!

All owners of NastyFans seats, both minted and online will be automatically entered into the drawing.

I cant wait to win another milk spotted coin Smiley

Something tells me you won't have to worry about it since you have to own online seats to win a coin...  Coins I create have consistently graded the highest of any coins on this forum and typically grade MS69 or above.  The rounds given away in this generous event have also been well received by buyers for years.  Specifically the 2oz and 5oz rounds have received nothing but great feedback as they were stamped using the highest quality blanks available in the industry.  If you're seeing milk spots on them, I'd say to keep them away from cows or whatever it is you're splashing on them.
