I will tail you Memphis -2.5 against Knicks. Gonna be close but I guess Memphis wanted to start at least winning so I have them with that handicap.

Great win man, that was very close, you won by 0.5 points only,  Smiley

Me, I had a bad day, I only had one bet and it was on the Suns, I thought they'll already lose when they are down over 20+ but when they come back I was a bit optimistic that they would cover the spread as they lead by 5 points in the 4th quarter, but they still fall short anyway.

I am a bit rusty too.  Grin
Bad 2nd day for me as I only got 1 win out of 3 for my early bets.

The teams that I am expecting to win are all losing and that includes Denver Nuggets against the Utah Jazz.
Also, for the Brooklyn Nets which I thought was giving us a good surprise at how strong their chemistry will be but sadly Ben Simmons was fouled out early.
Zion is really back. Ingram is hot. That Pelicans team is crazy strong. I might bet for them at their next game.

^That's a nice win @morvillz7z

It's good though that I was able to ride on 1/3 of your bet and it's the one that won,  Grin

A lot of games tomorrow, I still haven't decided what to put, but in any case, I will wait for someone to share their tips and probably pick just one of all the games.  Grin

I like the chances of the Clippers in a game between two LA teams.

This is my teaser to start the season, looks good going into the second half, i only need 5 PRA from Banchero and 4 PRA from Wagner to kick off the season with a win.

Orlando a bit shorthanded for their opener, no Cole Anthony, Harris still recovering, not sure why RJ Hampton isn't playing, they had this big-man lineup for a short period of time in the 1Q. lol

Good, the thread is open now, and thanks @danherbias07 for giving us your tips.

I'm just a little bit rusty hehehe, nevertheless I will have to bet on some of your tips.

There we go. We are back.  Grin I hope we will see new NBA bettors here in our thread to share their picks.

My tip-off win of the season.

It was a crazy game as I thought the Lakers will continue their run after cutting the lead to 12 points. Steve Ker was so mad he brought Steph back in to secure the win.  Cheesy

12 games tomorrow.
I only have 3 on the line for now as I am still checking injury reports and other stuff.
Pacers vs Wizards - Pacers -1.5
Heat vs Bulls - Heat -4.5
Grizzlies vs Knicks - Grizzlies -2.5.

Good luck to everyone.

OK, so the 2021-2022 season (this thread really needs a subject update, it's 2 years behind now) is in the books.  My question is, where are people going now to get their fix of basketball?  Are we all just waiting for summer league or the latest trade news?  I was thinking maybe I need to get more involved into international basketball, as I prefer that to college.  Anyone have any tips for me to help point me in the right direction?  Would love to get a year round basketball routine going so I'm not forced to watch baseball or football to get my athletic fix.
I have the same problem. Mostly, I just watch WNBA but there's no thread about it and I doubt there will be a lot forum members who will be participating.
Last year was all about updates, trade rumors, draft picks, and other stuff. But the year before that, I think stadus close this thread and waited before the league started to reopen it.
Most of the updates though can be covered in the other discussion thread. It will be a long summer.  Grin

Thanks for the reminder, as always, this thread will be temporarily locked since the NBA season is over and there's nothing to bet on.
Please have the discussion in the main thread, like the upcoming draft pick and other rumors in the NBA.

Thanks guys, will open this as preseason starts.

Bye for now!

^^ Yes, Lebron has confirmed and admitted that he will likely wait for his son to be in the NBA or even in the same team before he will retire. So probably couple of years still for him to play and it seems he still has the motivation to win another ring with the Lakers (or any other team). Although he has several injuries already, but he knows how to take care of his body and with the advancement of sports medicine, maybe he can still play above average at 40. And speaking of him, he is the first active NBA player to become a billionaire.

Wow, that was impressive, though Michael Jordan is still the richest NBA player Lebron could surpass Jordan if he continues to play in the NBA. He is still very active, could lead a team despite of his age, I love how he is taking care of his body, it only reflects how discipline he is.

Well, he can have other sports that he can familiarize himself with, but if he only wants basketball to be the sport, yes going basketball leagues right now are USA's WNBA, Germany's BBL, Spain's Liga ACB, and LEB Oro, Chile's Liga National, and Chinese Taipei's P League that is ongoing on stake.com if you really want pure basketball sports, because we can surely make some discussions on certain sports if you would make your own thread,

That's a lot of leagues to follow, I might be able to enjoy it but I'm not sure if I can be profitable on the betting side. You know, I'm more confortable betting on NBA because I love the league and at the same time I feel that I'm making a profit.

Well, I understand, and like you, I am more comfortable in making bets with the NBA only because we are familiar with their players, teams, and setup that is why but why not give it a try, on my 1st day betting on the NBA I am not familiar with certain players and who's going to score 30 plus points, I am not familiar with the coaches that is why I tend to research and look for certain things that can help myself along the way, first I will get my pick then look on those certain teams that are playing and surely ask a friend if they know about that league, for me WNBA is sure a great game to start, but it is just my opinion because if we can not try on different league all we can do is to wait for the next season to start,

Yes, you're right, Lebron James is one of the best, but I don't think Lebron has the old performance.

Lebron James will surely be remembered as one of the greatest that is why many teams would want him to be on their team, because of so much endorsement that money can potentially come in, and an opportunity like that is surely once in a lifetime, and right now Lebron James really want to play with his son until he calls it enough and retired on basketball,

Yes, Lebron James always says that he wants to play on the same team as his own son. Lebron will most likely retire after doing so.

Bronny James is ranked 34 on the draft pick while his father Lebron James was ranked 1, so I really think he is not really ready for an NBA shot, and many teams are really hesitant in getting him on board if it weren't for Lebron James because some teams know the stature of Lebron James there will be a lot of money if they can get Lebron on the team, but this could be a devastating career for Bronny since he will get inside the NBA not yet mature enough,

I don't think so, I think he is consistent with his performance his average this season (If I am not mistaken) is PPG 30.3, RPG 8.2, APG 6.2 I think he was just unlucky that his team didn't make it to the playoffs but his individual performance is different, he is still one of the greatest. Though you are right that Curry might surpass him with the number of championships.

Looking forward too with the Brooklyn next season they actually my second favorite player as KD and Kyrie is in that team.

Yes, LeBron James is already near his retirement year but not now, maybe he'll play 2 more seasons before he decide if it's already his time. The thing that is preventing him to retire is he is still waiting for his son Bronny to be drafted and join the NBA, and that's also the reason why he chose not to re-sign with the Lakers management to be free agent so that he can move to teams where his son is playing.

We have no choice, we cannot make a bet because there's no game available, we just have to wait until the new season will officially start or the starte of the preseason because bookies already have a betting odds for the games available.

In terms of championship rings, Steph Curry and LeBron James have now 4 rings and no doubt that Steph Curry will be ahead in that race soon and maybe he can also have more rings than Michael Jordan had.

Bronny James is not ready in my opinion he is in the 34th Rank nationally in his basketball career, if next year would still be the same for him then he is not really ready going forward to the NBA, and his father Lebron James is really nearing his retirement and could become almost 40 years by then, that could become very crucial for teams to sign him a contract because we all know that a person is just prone to injuries with that kind of age, and if Bronny James would not be playing on the NBA by that time, Lebron James would want a deal that if tea would get Bronny they can also get a Lebron James on their team, with a certain condition that he will not be talking about the amount of money as long as he gets to play Bronny on the same team, that could potentially get that team an amount of money if Lebron James could play for them,

We have our local league and fortunately it is being covered by a sport bookies that I know of.

And then we have the WNBA, not followed it though like NBA, but I just started to bet on games and try to familiarized myself with the team. There are a lot of international basketball that it is really hard to give you tips as to which league.

Right! either our local league or WNBA or even those World cup that being hosted by bookies,

For now, let the teams and players rest and enjoy their vacations, especially the Warriors who won the world title, give them
time to spare with their families. They deserve the best vacation, with lots of perks coming from the team owners and sponsors..

I think we have to wait for a while, they will rest but we will never rest in betting. I think the next season will start in December this year, so that means we have to wait for more months for us to start betting on the NBA games again. I am now betting in our local basketball, and I'm seeing here that most of the local basketball fans are also betting NBA games, at least for us we have alternatives while NBA is still off.

We can find a basketball league that we love to watch and gamble. Since NBA is over, I focus my bets on the PBA which can be found in this https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/2022-23-pba-commissioners-cup-5169983... @OgNasty, if you like you can try betting but I'm not sure if you will be able to watch it live, maybe we have some posters in that certain thread that will share their picks for free.
