Slow start for the Heat but the 2nd half was something.
I saw one tweet asking "What did Coach Spo say at halftime to make them change that much?" Hilarious!  Grin
3/4

Oh, Tucker! Just one more assist or rebound and it could've been perfect.
The defense of the Heat was extremely impressive and this is what I said from the start, they are different compared to the Bucks when it comes to the defensive end. Good game.

Jimmy at home didn't disappoint, 40 piece for game one.  3rd quarter they destroyed the celts.  Just one game and I expect a tough back and forth series here.  This could be one of those series that each home team wins out.  Good game 1 so far.

Heat didn't disappoint me at there homecourt. There is a lot of crucial steal by Butler on the 3rd quarter that gives the momentum to Heat to increase the gap. Boston let the Heat give them huge lead by giving so many turnover and miss shot. I think only free throw points is additional points on the 3rd quarter. Incomplete line-up of Boston always result on this kind of lose in every game 1.

The Celtics defense has top notch so far in this game, and they seem to have figured something out against Heat, unlike when the played Bucks they depended more on the ball from behind arc, however they've been going to the paint for most of their points so far. It's still a recoverable lead for the Celtics, but if they are able to continue with such an impressive defense in the 2nd half, then I'm afraid that they'll not lose this game.

Looks like my bet over 203.5 would hit, except there is an extremely low scoring 2nd half (below 88 points).

Considering laying down a few Satoshis on the Miami Heat vs Boston Celtics game. I kind of expect this to be a pretty hard fought series and I feel like these teams are pretty evenly matched. I kind of like the Miami Heat at -4.5 points. Since the teams in my opinion seem pretty evenly matched I think the edge goes to the home team. But I would not be surprised to see this go either way.

What a good start by the Celtics though, they lead at the half now. But it's now over, I think the Miami Heat can overcome the Celtics because it is just a 8 point lead.

So I will probably go with the ML live beating for the Heat at 2.40.
They will going to push the tempo in the second half and not allow the Celtics to get 2nd chance points.

M. Strus 14+ PR / J. Butler 1+ steal / Bam 2+ assists @2.02 ∆  X

Strus 14+ PR, he had two excellent games for Miami to close up the Philly series, back to back double-doubles in points and rebounds.

I've been riding with J. Butler 1+ steals almost the entire postseason and don't see why i should stop now. Celtics down a playmaker for game 1 should help.

Bam struggled quite a bit against Embiid, but today he gets Williams and Theis, a lot easier matchup imo. Bam is coming off two games without recording a single assist. I believe he gets several today, he had eight assists the last time these two teams faced off.

No Lowry tonite will be tough for Miami since he has playoff experience with his former team.
Have enough confidence in Bulter, Herro and Adebayo to get game 1 done on home court.

I think we should remove Kyle Lowry from our future analysis of whether he will play or not because the Miami Heat's journey this playoff is played without him at most games. Our reference should now focus on those players that Miami Heat has during the entire playoffs.

2 of the Boston Celtics' good role players are probably out in tonight's game and although should not be a big problem for the Celtics, it still contributes to their disadvantages. Miami Heat will probably take the Game 1 lead although the current Celtics are really hard to match as their bench players are also improved.

I'm also going with Miami spread since they're playing at home and the Celtics barely had much rest after taking down the Bucks a few days ago. I was already leaning on Miami before Smart and Horford got ruled out on the side of the Celtics so things will probably get easier for Miami, I just hope the game doesn't end up close though.

I honestly think that it's a plus for Miami to have Lowry out for now since they didn't have much success when he played against the Sixers.

Both Marcus Smart and Al Horford are out of game 1, Al Horford is said to be under health and safety protocol, I don't know how many games he'd miss for that and really I also don't think Robert Williams is 100% fit for the game either.

Probably the next game as well, because it's Thursday, and i don't think he can clear it in two days. Who gets tested these days, by the way? The NBA should probably revise/rethink its safety protocols. I saw a picture of Horford in a huddle with his teammates earlier today, no masks, etc...so what's the point? They should scrap those protocols for the remainder of the postseason, it sucks losing a key guy for a game, or even two...and besides almost all players are vaxxed now.

I'm taking Miami-3.5 at home and nabbing the under.  Think it's gonna be a tight game with key injuries on both sides.  Just like Jimmy at home for game one

Miami Heat for the first win -3.5. Homecourt advantage and to shock the Celtics how better their defense is than the Bucks.
I wish no players will be nervous and show a shitty game so that it will be more entertaining.
A lot of players are questionable to play for the Heat but I don't think they will miss this important game to have the first blood and be in front. Every game win will be a step closer to the Finals so they better give it all out.
Kyle Lowry is still not able to play.
Good luck everyone.

Celtics just destroyed last years champions in their last game so hope their not on a roll going into this Heat matchup.
They do play at another level in the playoffs as we all know.

I’m seeing odds of MIA -1.5 with an implied final score I’d Boston 101 - Miami 102.5. I have no idea who will win, but I tend to think Boston has a small advantage. It will be interesting to see how game 1 goes. I think a lot of my opinion will come from seeking how the game goes. In my opinion, Bam Adebayo is going to play a large role in the series. If he’s able to shut down the Celtics in the lane, I think Miami has a good shot. On the other side, if Al Horford can keep the chip on his shoulder and have a couple good games, the Celtics will be difficult to stop.

I guess with that I would go with Heat to win game 1, although I still believe in a close game here.

What happened now was just a reply because we can't deny that they are the heaviest team in the league for some quite few seasons but when it comes to playoffs, I don't know why they can't adjust well and maintain their consistency.
Maybe small ball weakness. They lack outside shots consistency and I want to see Cam Johnson shoot the ball more. His outside shot is at an average percentage but he lacks the capability to be confident about it.
There will always be times when Booker and CP3 will be guarded well and this is where I thought they should shine most including Bridges. They have the advantage with their height and length but without the courage to shoot, nothing will materialize.
Good luck with them next year and I bet the Suns' management will be looking for shooters.
Surely the Phoenix Suns management are now disappointed because they've chose to draft DeAndre Ayton than Luka Doncic. They should come to a point to be more confident in shooting and not relying alone to Booker and CP3's capabilities because it's already expected that these two will be heavily guarded. So the rest of the roster should work their way off while the opposite team are busy giving some good attention to Booker and CP3. They had a good run but they are still inconsistent when it comes to adjusting.

PJ Tucker, Danny Green, McGee are few of those lucky players,  Grin.

So let's see if Tucker can make it back to back with different teams, this will be a good accomplishment, but they have to go first with Celtics and then on the other brackets winner. I will go with the under on this first game, 203.5 at 1.93.

It would not be so easy for them like in the 2nd round because Celtics are a complete different team that they beat before. In fact, Celtics now are the favorite to win the series, so I wouldn't be surprise if they'll steal game 1 in this series.

Heat has to win the first 2 games if they want to have a good chance of winning the series. Heat surely have a plan against Tatum, they'll find a way to slow him down but at the same time, I'm worried about Butler because it seemed like no one could defend him from the Celtics roster.

Same here, I believe that the Miami Heat have the upper hand now against the Boston Celtics because they are much more experienced team and their rotation is much more different. While the latter will have some time to adjust and that includes losses on the series as well but they have to find a way to limit Jimmy Butler's performance because if not, they'll be just like the 76ers.

They have to, but they have to understand that Celtics are the favorite to win this series for a reason. Everyone has to show up, not only Butler because in the 2nd round, I see some players who are not really consistent except Butler. We don't want to see the Heat like the Bucks team.

Indeed! Heat needs everyone to work together. Butler alone is just like Giannis back at Milwaukee. He might exhaust himself competing

but if they will play alongside together and show their home dominance, the chance of winning the first two games at home is possible.

on the other side, Boston again will try hoping that this time fate will give them the chance to appear in the NBA finals, tough job

but we never know who's going to represent the East side.

Expect a game 7 on this series, it's tough to predict the winner because both teams are good, but I'm with the favorite to win the series which is the Celtics. i like them because they are moving the ball very well, and everyone can shoot 3s, even Horford who will be their center.
