Man… We wait all summer to see the new look Lakers and the Nets back in action and they both lose. Not totally out of the realm of being expected since the Lakers are still trying to figure out how to play together and the Nets are without their point guard. Still, I’m hoping this doesn’t last too long. I want to see some highlights and blowouts!
We can understand why the Nets lose because Irving was not playing, but the Lakers... no.. Westbrook was not performing as expected, I don't know what's in the mind of Lebron now, maybe he is thinking if he can undo the trade, lol.. anyway, this is just 1 game, let's see if they'll bounce back in their next game.

BTW, LeBron was playing very well, his outside shooting was spectacular.

Anyone bet on the Lakers vs GSW though?

I took GSW ML @2.38, and so far it's given me my money's worth as the match is very close. Haven't watch the full 2 quarters though, but i read that GSW took an early lead. But at the end of the second half, it's Lakers 59-53, so very tight, but hopefully the underdogs will win.  Grin

Lakers is rallying now after that comeback by the Warriors 68-61 under 7 minutes in the third quarter, GSW is so lucky as Lakers are also not converting that much, with a lot of missed 3 from GSW they still managed to close the gap.

Both teams are really working hard. The defense is too, tight especially with. Curry he's having a hard time.

Let see if how they will adjust after this time out. Best of luck!

People are always Lakers and Nets and they disregard other teams. They didn't know how to calculate other team's performance because they are only based on rosters name. Lakers and Nets sure have the most best players in the league but there are other teams that got improved too.

We should wait for that.
Nicely said. I do think other teams are really improving in both chemistry and their skills. A good example is the Dallas Mavericks. There have been conflict with Kristaps Porzingis and Luka Doncic but the way I saw them play this pre-season is like they ironed all those problems and may become a threat in the West.
Luka is already good but paired with the Unicorn that will humble himself and just ride on whatever the play given to him will be a big step up for the team.
Utah Jazz is already being forgotten but with their roster intact, there's a chance they could steal the championship if all will go their way.
Betting for this teams while being underdogs against the favorites will be profitable.  Cheesy

I like the way Porzingis plays right now. He's showing respect now for Luka,

with that kind of attitude, the help that the team is looking from him might be coming in this upcoming regular season.
with the same core inside, they are one of the team that has a good chance to compete for the title.

It's too early and there are many good teams to watch out, more enjoyable season with more super team that composed of stars..

How about the LA Clippers, we disregard them but they are a good team, in fact, they beat the Utah Jazz even without Leonard.
Based on the NBA Futures, LA Clippers is currently at +1600, think that's worth to risk.

Good luck everyone on whatever your pick tomorrow.

We will see the opening of the NBA regular season tomorrow and I'm betting on Bucks -1 as my only bet.
I would pass on the Laker as they are inconsistent during the preseason, so I'll just observe how they'll play in game 1.

In the first matches of the season, I bet on the victories of the guests. It is not only in my opinion that the Nets are the main favorites for the NBA title and I think they will want to show it from the very first game. The Bucks, of course, will also want to prove that they did not become the champion by accident. We are going to have a great match. As everyone else, I'm curious to see what the Lakers will look like. Teams that play fast, offensive basketball like GSW seem to be their toughest rival. Several Lakers players are also injured, so I bet the Warriors will win.

Bucks also have that pride to prove that things did not happened because of accident,

They will show that and will do everything to make it happen again, repeating or keeping yourself up is what each team's desire when winning

the title, there are many challenges and it will be a good test for the defending champ to prove and continue to be on top.

With Lakers, there are many different opinions about them, both haters and believers are interested to what they can show this coming regular

season, it's more tough from the West lots of improve teams that very possible to beat them.

Judging from the Lakers' preseason performance, they really have to work on their chemistry, Russ will have to adjust to a shoot-first playstyle (he was messing up turnovers which can really ruin the team's momentum), as I can see it's either Rondo or LeBron taking the maestro role and setting up plays for Melo and Russ alongside with the whole team,  Melo on the other hand has his own way of shooting the ball without the help of any teammate, Melo has been doing this kind of play since he was on the Knicks, it's a thing that LeBron might not like considering how different both players are when it comes to court vision.

What I see from the Lakers lineup is a bunch of veterans used to their playstyle during their primes and changing that right away is actually hard for them compared to the rookies or young players, I'm curious to see how LeBron and coach Frank Vogel will set the Lakers chemistry as the NBA season starts.

However, despite the fact that the Lakers had a really bad pre-season start, they're still the favourite in the opening night with -4.5 spread against the GSW which handed the Lakers a 0-2 pre-season standing.
I'm not sure but I guess the Lakers are experimenting in the pre-season. Though the team chemistry would always gonna be the issue for the newly assembled teams, but I also have to consider they're veterans and some former superstars they have a better understanding their role than those mediocre players.

I guess the safest bet between Lakers and GSW is "over 227.5",  these 2 teams for sure has a lot of offensive power. They both could atleast score 115.

This season it's different, the GSW's era is over, it's now the battle of the big teams which are the LA Lakers and Nets, period.

Let's see if Lakers and Nets will live up to our expectations, and please watch out for the Warriors as they have Klay back this season, this might be an improved warrior with Curry and Klay taking this team to the NBA Finals, again, for sure it will be fun to watch since most of us did not expect it to happen, but you know, when Klay and Curry are both health, warriors always has a chance to beat the top favorites.

Too early to conclude that, Lakers and Nets are the favorite to win but with how each teams improve,

It's not easy to say that they are really dominant this season. The defending Champ improved their lineup while we see trades also from Miami and Bulls, just some interesting teams to watchout this upcoming regular season in the eastside.

West side still has a lot of potential, we can't say that Lakers can also dominate it easily, GSW, Clippers and Nuggets are also chasing
for the title.

As for the Nets, they have solidified their chemistry giving KD the first option to actually take shots, I don't see any problem for the Nets, though they may have to show extra effort knowing that there are several teams that have shown such performance during the preseason. (GSW, Bulls, Heat, Kings, Wizards and Nuggets).

It would be nice if we will see a close competition in the West and East, with the new star players, added to the teams like Bulls and Miami Heat, I'm expecting that they would somehow give a tough match to the favorites which are the Nets and the Bucks but I don't think they'll win against these two teams.

On the West, I saw how PG had improved last playoffs, he was a real Playoff George as he took in charge when Leonard was injured, but they lack a big man IMO and the Lakers had that so they'll certainly dominate in the matchup. For Nuggets, they are the same team IMO although they can pull a surprise against the favorites but I don't expect them to advance in the NBA Finals.

Chicago Bulls are doing great in their pre-season games. If that intensity will be consistent, they can also be on top teams in Eastern Conference. Miami Heat's young players are also shown good performance this pre-season different from what they show last year.

Let's hope injury won't happen much for all teams. No one expects the Bucks and Suns will reach the finals last year. It might happen again this season.

I will not expect Klay Thompson to perform so well, and he's not going to show on the first game, and the expected date for him to return was on Nov. 1, But I really hope he recovers soon in 100% full health because I want the Golden State Warriors to return their best gameplay with the tandem of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, But right now as for Stake.com's Odds 1.60 for the Lakers and 2.41 for The Warriors, with the favorite for this match was the Lakers, and having Rajon Rondo back on the team, while on the GSW, Thompson is still regaining his shape, I am not really confident for the Golden State Warriors winning this, but I am still hoping that they can make the game harder for the L.A. Lakers.

^They want to start the regular season with a bang!
2 days rest from now and we are going to witness the real game. Who will the Lakers put more minutes for? Will Kyrie ever take the vaccine before even the regular season start? Will the Bucks be as intense as last year? When Klay?

I am excited to see how much handicap will be given to other teams whenever they face this 4 hyped teams of the NBA. I'd be willing to take some risks as long as there is a thin possibility of a win and if the price is right.  Grin

I am now excited about these games and who's the team that can take the lead on the standings, and yes a great start for the opening of the regular season, Well I have already put what is happening in every team and who's going to play or not, and for Kyrie Irving why is it so hard in just taking the vaccine, but I guess Irving is needed but not that much but then again the Brooklyn Nets will surely need 100% of the team to play, Milwaukee Bucks is a devastating team with Giannis Antetokounmpo alone, even though Middleton has an issue, but maybe the Nets have strategies a scheme in stopping Antetokounmpo, but I really like The Golden State Warriors to be on fire again, even without Klay but the Lakers addition of Rajon Rondo can be a thing to look for,

And just like you I am also willing to take the risk for my favorite teams if I could have money to spare.

especially for the 3 players I have mentioned that has not won a championship yet.
Yes, they are all all-star players but have not won a single championship in their career.

Westbrook never had a chance to win a championship back in OKC because, despite his triple-double average, OKC was still a weak team in the playoffs competition, and Durant understands that he and Westbrook could not win a championship as their chemistry is not 100% fully blend, so Durant choose to play with Curry and Thompson and the GSW dominated.

This season it's different, the GSW's era is over, it's now the battle of the big teams which are the LA Lakers and Nets, period.
