Home teams to win their games in the play-in tournament come with a 7/1 payout, Lakers and Grizzlies snatched narrow victories for us last night, cheers if you picked them as i did.

Pacers vs. Wizards in a battle for the final playoff spot. Most people are betting on the Wizards to make the playoffs, but i have a totally different feel, i think Pacers outright win. They have been performing much better in recent games, and they enter into this game with a statistical advantage in every key area: better 3pt %, defensive efficiency, ppg, etc. Beal's hamstring injury is a major concern imo, as is their lack of three-point shooting. Beal, Westbrook, and Bertans shot 1/17 vs Celtics, whereas their opponent was raining 3s like crazy against the Hornets.

Here's what i got, 2 and 1 split would be nice:

Sabonis 40+ PRA; Beal 25+ pts; Pacers O25.5 pts 1Q @1.72 won

McDermott 2+ 3pts; Pacers +6.5 1Q; O223.5 @1.78 won

Sabonis double-double; Westbrook triple-double; Beal 20+ pts; Sabonis 7+ assists @1.57 lost

To sum it up, Sabonis has been absolutely dominating this matchup against the Wizards by putting up crazy numbers. Regardless of his leg injury, i expect Beal to show up and score at will.
Pacers have been one of the best teams in the league when it comes to 1 quarters, not just recent form but on the year. 1Q margin in the last 3: Pacers +3.3 and Wizards -7.3

Oh, and i need two 3s from Dougie McBuckets Grin

edit; welp, Pacers got absolutely thrashed, but at least i managed to finish 2/3 on the day with Sabonis having his 40 pra seconds before fouling out. It was funny watching Russ reg minutes in the 4th while 30pts up only to get his triple double, two short though! lmao

I thought everyone was crazy thinking the Warriors will win this game but after that first quarter I had my doubts on if the Lakers could pull it off. LeBron James came through at the end though with the clutch three right in Stephen Curry’s face for the win. You could see Steph say some thing as he jumped to block the shot but I guess only him and LeBron will know what it was.
Well, yeah, only the two of them will know what that means. But I'm impressed that they're not just opponents but in personal matters, it seems that they've become close lately.

I would still love the Warriors to get things done against Grizzlies to make the playoffs.
We're wanting to see Warriors get in.  Cool

I feel pretty good about betting the Lakers on this series, and maybe going big on game 1 with a Lakers victory.  I really don't think the Suns have a chance whatsoever (they're my home team Cry) and would be surprised if they take a single game against the defending champs.

Go ahead, mate. Lakers in 6. Smiley Suns is overhyped just because they clinched the 2nd spot in the competitive Western Conference.

Waiting for good odds movement on a Series match. I will surely bet on the Lakers if I found the odds is interesting.

At the same time, I will also bet on a per-game basis but depends on the situation.

Here are the betting odds.

Suns vs. Lakers Series Odds
                         Suns   Lakers
Series Winner   +180   -220
Win in 4         +2500   +600
Win in 5         +1000   +375
Win in 6           +700   +250
Win in 7           +450   +450

Lakers are the favorites in the serious, but just a slight favorite, so it's still worth to take.

I'm not sure what are the odds for the Lakers to win in the series, but for game 1, the Suns are -3 against the Lakers, so maybe that tells that they are the underdog in the series. I like these odds compared to last time where the Lakers are a heavy underdog, we might see a good playoff this year in terms of attractiveness of odds.

Looking at my favorite bookies, it says that if you pick Lakers to win the series against the Suns you would win 1.65 which i think is attractive enough because against the Suns, they have the size which can work on their advantage and of course the experience of Lebron in this kind of scenario.

It should be a very competitive series all round though, we are likely not going to see multiple 4-0 wins or even any whatsoever.

It would make the series longer and that would be good for betting.
Seeing the Lakers as the underdog, that's a great opportunity for the Lakers fans to bet, and I think we see the volume of money going to the Lakers.

Anyway, we will see the result of the first game against the Suns, if Suns somehow pull a win, then that would be more interesting.

Wizards vs Pacers, - I'm thinking that this could be a high scoring game? And Pacers slightly the underdog here.x

This should be as both don't mind playing defense.

over/under now is 239 points, but this is an elimination game so I'm a bit doubtful on this one, I guess 230 points is still a high scoring game but if we bet on the over, we will lose, we need these two offensive team to be natural and score 240 points to win.

Both team are really offensive teams but the nature of the game might slow things down a bit, so I feel the Over 238.5 a bit too high, Washington Wizards ML would be my bet currently @ 1.65

The Suns vs Lakers series might provide some good gambling opportunities considering the Lakers are supposedly the underdog.  The Suns have struggled a great deal against teams with a lot of size this year, and the Lakers have A LOT of size now with Drummond.  I feel pretty good about betting the Lakers on this series, and maybe going big on game 1 with a Lakers victory.  I really don't think the Suns have a chance whatsoever (they're my home team Cry) and would be surprised if they take a single game against the defending champs.

The odds of the playoffs might change after the first few games, they odds are slightly higher now because the supposed favorites are not in good shape and you see teams like the Knicks, Jazz, and Suns having a terrific season. It should be a very competitive series all round though, we are likely not going to see multiple 4-0 wins or even any whatsoever.

In the Washington Wizards vs Indiana Pacers match, I bet on the victory of the team from the US capital. Indiana does not have a star like Jason Tatum in their roster, who will win the game almost alone, as was the case in the Wizards-Celtics game. Both teams represent a similar level, but I value Wizards a bit higher. Of course, it all depends on Beal and Westbrook's disposition, they both have to play a really good game if they want to face Philadelphia in the first playoff round.

If they want to continue and make some chance into playoffs they needed to win this game against the Pacers, Yes, Westbrook and Beal should play their best to make that room for them,

Plus those role players also needs to work it out as a team, it's not just  this two stars but it should all of them to work together.

Explosions though will start from WB and Beal as they are very known as players who can spark the game.

Taking -1.5 @ 1.70 handicap for Wizard.. Best of Luck!

I will be going with Warriors here tonight, the line is currently is +5.5 @ 1.96

This might be a low scoring one, but I don't like taking any Under bet that is less than 230...

Good luck to everyone.
Earlier I was also tempted to take the Warriors +5.5 but I have to back the Lakers spread here even if both of their best players aren't at their very best they'll probably still win by at least a couple of possessions.

Head to head favors Lakers winning 2/3 times but I doubt it matters all too much since anything is possible at the playoffs.

Edit : It's only 2nd quarter and the Lakers looks horrendous AD and Lebron combining for 2/16.  Lips sealed

Lakers won the game eventually but Warriors were able to cover the spread, I had doubts that Lakers would the game anyway but they played pretty much better in the 2nd half.

I would still love the Warriors to get things done against Grizzlies to make the playoffs.

The real question is who does Charles Barkley think will win? Betting against his picks has been a sure thing the last few years.
LOL! I heard that one at halftime report.  Grin

Lebron was pointing at his eyes after Steph said something.
I think it was like "Didn't you say your eyes hurt or was it just a flop?"  Grin

Washington Wizards vs Indiana Pacers
Pacers as underdogs on this game. I'll go Wizards ML.
I hope I will get lucky again just like how I hit my bet for GSW +3.5. Cheers guys!

Well, whatever it was, we just have to be happy we saw a very exciting game. I lose my bet because I bet on the Warriors when they were up, I have a friend who took my bet ML when the Warriors was up 8 points, so I took it but I was wrong because it was just a trap.  Sad

Lebron is struggling a bit in the game, his big shot was the winning shot and he is still the man at the end.

Exactly, pressure but he sink that long three so close out the show for the Lakers.

I have Warriors +4.5 so it's a good win for me, it was really an exciting game, I agree that Warriors could have won specially when they go take the lead, but the defense and every shot contested put the Lakers back in the 3rd quarter. And it seems that the Warriors are really tired in this game. But they have to face Memphis next, so it's going to be another hard game for them.

Very interesting  Roll Eyes Grin after that forecast with the Hornets it's best to wait for him to speak out loud again and bet against him.  Grin

Kidding aside, I also think that Hornets will manage to win it against the Pacers but the home court advantage really brings the best out of them, looking with their stats everyone really played their roles and win with convincing  27 points deficit.

Don't confuse yourselves guys, just don't mind Charles Barkley's call, just follow yours. I'm excited about the lakers vs Warriors game, and I think this is a very defensive game as the lakers would want to impose their will against the Warriors, so I will bet on the under and put some special bet as well using the points range, I guess I can take 171-180 for a higher odds.

I was really fortunate to hit both of my player prop tickets yesterday, though the Hornets were such a huge disappointment...

Looking at the first game between Grizzlies and Spurs today, i have a heavy lean towards the under and Memphis to advance, just to throw a few stat out there, Spurs are second to last in defensive efficiency (last 3), last in 3pts % (last 3) and are near the bottom in points allowed per game (again last 3). Grizzlies also showed a lot of character against GSW coming back from 17 points deficit at the end of the third quarter to take the lead mid-fourth. I know they lost that game, but they fought back, and if it wasn't for Curry's heroics, they might've won.

Grizzlies +4.5; Morant 15+ pts; Valanciunas 1+ assist @1.60 won

Ja Morant didn't have his best game the other day, but i expect him to step up big time today. Worth noting is that Ja scored a season-high 44 pts against them (Spurs) at the start of the season. Valanciunas isn't known for his passing abilities, but he's currently on a 10-game streak of at least one assist.

U61.5 total pts 1Q; K. Anderson 3+ rebounds; Morant 7+ assists @1.60 lost

As mentioned above, i'm leaning towards the under in this game, so hoping for a slow start.
K. Anderson has had three or more rebounds in 13 of their last 14 games, and Morant has four consecutive games with 7+ assists, he has also covered the line the three times these two teams have met this season.
