I think I heard the announcer while the game was still on saying there was a passing of someone and they were giving their respects to him.
Maybe the announcer is paying tribute to long time agent of DWade and he treated him like a father - Henry Thomas, but it was like a year ago (January 2018), but I'm not sure if this is the one you heard from the announcer.
