I think Etherwallet is the best, but there has been a lot of support for the new coin on ICO. you can try it because almost everyone keeps it there.

i recommend blockchain on you, it's because blockchain is more secured, but the transaction fee are so high. but it's okay to me as long as my bitcoin is secure, that is no problem.
but if you are from philippines it is easier to use coins.ph wallet because it is easier to use compared to other bitcoin wallets. that's all..

I will suggest for use coinpayment wallet for store or buy or sell your Bitcoin. Coinpayment has low transaction fee and very faster transaction.  And you will find many other coin wallet in your coinpayment wallet. You don't need to use separate wallet for each coin. Coinpayment wallet security is strong . Whenever you will login you will received a code into your mail. And every time you login coinpayment will ask you for this one time code. And always you will receive notifications mail once you log on your coinpayment wallet.

I prefer to you coinpayments because it have very low transaction fee and also it have 2fa ,so you need always verify your login with code which come to email which is a really good type of protection for your account and I dont think that it is neccesary to buy bitcoin hardware wallets like trezor os some other things when you can have online free wallet and there is no worries or if you want you can google bitcoin hardware wallet to have more protection.

That would depend on what you would do with the bitcoins, if you need to buy things in real life you'll need an offline wallet and if you're investing you'll probably need a web one. I suggest you check this website https://www.cryptocompare.com/wallets/#/overview .
For me i usually use more than one wallet to be more secure so even if one of them gets hacked i don't lose all my stuff. I never keep all my eggs in the same basket lol.

I am newcomer and very interested about bitcoin. I need a wallet before I am purchase some bitcoin. What is the best and most secure bitcoin wallet?

Your suggestion is very important to me
The best bitcoin wallet that you cn use is the coins.ph Coins.pl is an application in where you can keep ypur bitcoin. In this wallet your bitcoin will not remain stagnant ut will grow when you make transactions.

As far as I know coins.ph is not available in all countries so if OP are not from the Philippines he can't use this. And coins.ph is also like an exchange as well as wallet and it does not hold private keys so it's not 100% safe. Better to use wallets that have private keys or seeds. Use also wallets depend on your coins as there are many different wallets that supports each coins. Try myetherwallet, waves, electrum and many more.

Blockchain is one of the most prestigous wallets i know. I do not really now if it has a desktop app but it has a mobile app which is very easy to use and it has a simple user interface but the fees for transferring funds, for me, is to high. I don't know if the bitcoin price affects the fees or due to its global use it has high fees. Still I would recommend this wallet for you and its useful for newbies like you

It depends on what you need it. Personally, i'm confort with blockchain.info wallet.
They give private keys and online wallet easy to use.
I agree with you that block chain is a very safer and reliable source for wallet of bitcoin. One can easily trust in that. I also advise to everyone that when they want to open their bitcoin wallet they should use block chain. By doing this they will feel safe and secure and comfortable also. There is no tension to be worry about your bitcoin wallet and it is also easy to withdraw bitcoin anytime and anywhere throughout the world.

Welcome on board, I appreciate your decision. It depends on your behaviour that which wallet suits you.

If you looking to trade using your Bitcoin holdings then you can go with web wallets where you get convenience to send Bitcoins. However, hodling your Bitcoins anywhere other than secure cold storage is a risk and you might lose it if there is something wrong.

If you are planning to hodl for the long term then you should use cold storage wallets such as hardware wallet or SECURELY GENERATED paper wallet.

use bitcoin core it's the best and most secure, but require a large storage at first for synching the blockchain, but then you can use the prune mode to reduce space

The most known site on where you're going to buy bitcoin is coinbase and the blockchain. The good thing aboit this two is that after you buy bitcoin it is going directly to your wallet because you can buy through those two and it is gonna be your personal wallet at the same time.

You can search different wallet for bitcoin all of the wallet has advantages and disadavantages. If you want to have a very secure wallet you can try paper wallet.

https://www.bitaddress.org/

Paper wallet is good for long term hold. Your privately hold your private key and stored into paper unlike online your private key holds by the company of the wallet and once it ets hack your wallet may hack to. So this is the best kind of wallet for me, the paper wallet.

The most secured is "cold storage", but it isn't convivient to make "everyday" transactions. So if you want to invest in long term make "cold storage" wallet.

Yeah so true but its good for long term holding and this a secured one. You can use this one and try using other wallets for your daily transaction. Try coinbase if its available in your country but dont store huge amount of coins here as it have a third party. Coinomi is the best for me, almost of the coins are in here, its also a multi signature wallet so I find it awesome.  Cool

there are many wallets for bitcoin. First advice: never use a wallet which you can not control your private key. Second, online wallets are not reliable. You might lose your money if you put your money on online wallets. About  pc wallet, I think that electrum is the best Wink

I suggest you to do a little research of your own to get a grasp on the matter. Because all wallets have teir own advantages and disadvantages. You also have to consider the purposes you intend to have why you want a wallet, either holding, trading, etc. so you can chose wallets easier to access for your purposes or more secure if you have other purposes. Hope you get what i mean. And i hope this helps. Cheers.

Like some of the users here said I would also recommend electrum.
That service is user friendly and I tell you it is very easy to understand.
You could also control every transaction fee that you want but with your risk of getting it for a long time if the fee is too low.
The application is also light that it wont hurt the memory of your computer.
