Are you planning for 5 cards? I doubt that PSU will run 5 cards and a system, 7950's pull 200W on paper plus 100W for system overhead. You are going to choke it out, I can almost guarantee it. Plus the complexity of even finding 5 7950's, or the horrors of having to tame a system with 5 totally different used 7950's with a weak PSU.

It might be better to get two smaller power supplies, plus you can buy another PSU later instead of now.

I'd also go for two 2gb sticks of ram, or even another 4gb stick. I'm not sure if 8gb is entirely necessary, but it's only $50-$55 for 8gb(2x4gb) if you shop it right.

I have not had an AMD rig since well before AM3 sockets, so I have no idea if 5 cards will even work on that board or cpu. Can't advise there, sorry!

Am running this PS with that board and processor. When I bought it, it was on sale for $99.

It is good & modular with 6 PCI-E connectors.

how does this list look?

I'm ordering online (newegg) so I need some advice as to whether I'm getting the correct products.

I'll be using the 7950's with this first build

Good luck trying to find them under $400.... or finding them anywhere. lol! R9 280x's as well. I just bought two more R9 270x's for $199. Am getting a solid 475 kh from each one. Am only getting 600 kh from my powercolor 7950's. Am getting 750 kh out of the 280x's.

I'm looking for advice on the pc parts other than the gpu's. any help would be appreciated
Exact same setup as the last two miners I built minus the power supply & ram. With 7950's you can get away with an 850 watt PS. You can get a decent modular one for $99 and save some dough. Could save $10 on the ram as well. There are comparable ones for $30.
