Hostgator and iPage have not very good reviews, definitely think about Bluehost that is good.

I am a blogger since 2012 and hosting few website since. I tried following hosting services in sequence:
ipage--> bluehost-->inmotion-->hostgator-->Siteground

I would like to suggest you to go for Siteground. Support is really really awesome. Their service operators are brilliant with ultimate quality of hosting features.
In fact you can try with their shared hosting plan.
Ask then in chat to offer you a best available deal. You may get some discount as well Wink

LiquidWeb is pricey, but has a solid American presence.  Namecheap also has some good offers.

Hi,

I am a newbie and want to buy vps hosting to try to set up a bitcoin node and one other website which is currently on shared hosting, can someone suggest which hosting provider to select, I have narrowed down to these three:
Hostgator
Bluehost
Godaddy

I am not sure about linode or digitalocean hosting as I need a managed hosting service with cpanel.

Thanks.

If u are looking for a VPS, I request u check this VPS Comparison to order your preferred configuration.

Our service feedback thread (We accept bitcoin) => https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/web-hosting-100gb-space-1000gb-traffic-112-usdmonth-try-for-free-617213

IMHO, this is the best one I have ever come across. Plus point is, they accept Bitcoin.

Before going to opt for vps just do one thing, go for comparisons and check its previous record.

From your short listed sites i would suggest you to go for either HOSTGATOR or BLUE HOST and avoid GO DADDY because GO DADDY might not support you and you will be removed any time.

go here
https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Comparison_of_VPS_providers
and you can find a complete list of vps providers accepting bitcoin payment method

This page was hard to maintain and keep updated, therefore it was deleted. Should you be looking for a VPS for Bitcoin, go for CoinsHost - a Swiss web hosting and ddos protection provider that allows anonymous Bitcoin purchases and where privacy is respected by law.

as we r talking about VPS here
if anyone wants bulletproof anonymous vps do let me know host anything on it
pay with btc
do pm me
Let us know the costs as well

I think cost will highly vary for managed VPS vs. unmanaged VPS. It requires a mention, which someone is looking for...

Thanks.

If you think that cpanel is easier than command line, that would be wrong.
Command line is cookie easy, almost as easy as learning to use cpanel thoroughly.

I would advice you to re-evaluate if you really need cpanel though, before you decide.
cpanel is a paid software and will not be easy to emulate on a barebones server.
You could try some of these though http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_web_hosting_control_panels. Sort by open source.
