1. Reboot (Power Down and then UP) the router

2. When the blue LED starts flashing, press the RESET (inside the tiny
hole next to cable connection.

3. Stop pressing the RESET when the blue LED starts flashing quickly This is where its upto

At this time the router is in failsafe mode.

4. Telnet 192.168.1.1. It will take you to the root prompt.
5. Enter "firstboot" at the prompt to reset the router to default
6. Restart

Now with option 4 because its Avalon firmware you should able to change your lan to 192.168.0.101 and connect to 192.168.0.100

just saw blue light. its fast blinking

It should be reset now, apparently you have to press it for a while.  Try connecting to the default IP again. And... if that doesn't work maybe try turning it off and on again.

on the avalon after you reset is the blue light solid, slow blinking or fast blinking ?

And with  regards to what other person said. Wasn't aware can configure over wifi too as thought couldn't as with trying with ips it had in wouldn't allow to connect up and configure over wifi always got time out but would mine away on wifi just not able to configure but not worried.

67.204.32.5 try setting your lan connection on pc to that and connect to 67.204.32.4 in browser might work. or 67.204.32.5 if cant then revert back to normal for lan settings on pc or what ever you trying to connect to avalon with

Ok hold on im doing another system restore. I think i reset the avalon?? I pressed the button but nothing obvious happened. I did save a copy of the ip

Okay, that's good.  Now, can you connect to the original IP address, 192.168.0.100?  Otherwise, can you connect to the ip address you set it to?

5 Regarding WiFi you only want this on if you are going to keep running on one pool and one pool only and mine and leave it running as on WiFi you can not configure so if you want to change settings and stuff use cable and disable WiFi.

Lol, what?  Why do you think you can't configure it over wifi?  And why would you have to disable wifi to use a cable?  You can connect and configure it using either one, or both at the same time if you want. If both are connected, it has two IP addresses and both can be used configure it.

___
If the reset works, I'm pretty sure what you need to do is go in and set the GATEWAY, not the IP address, under common configuration to the same gateway your windows machine is working.

1 find out what ip you changed the device to connect to it. Maybe reset back to default?

2 go into  Interfaces - LAN change this to DHCP client give it a name you can easily remember and save settings.

3 goto your main router login and login to it. Goto devices and see what is connected and look up the name for the Avalon you made in DHCP.

4 goto that address should be 192.168. something and login. Goto cgminer settings and put in your details for pool and start mining. DHCP should find the settings of your main router with connection to the internet and auto configure. If you have it on static you would need to configure all the settings your self in order to gain internet.

5 Regarding WiFi you only want this on if you are going to keep running on one pool and one pool only and mine and leave it running as on WiFi you can not configure so if you want to change settings and stuff use cable and disable WiFi.

I just played around with my interfaces lan section and changed the common configuration ip address  and i can no longer access the avalon. any ideas?

I just told you that you would risk making your device inaccessible. Why didn't you just buy a wifi adapter? How far away from a walmart are you?

Anyway dude there is a physical reset button near the ethernet port on the back of the machine. There's a hole, and you'll be able to see a little white button.  Take a pen or screwdriver or something and press it, that should reset the default settings (IP address, etc)

Did you happen to remember what you set the IP address to? That's kind of important Did you set it to use DHCP? If so, you may be log on to your router and see what IP address is associated with Avalon's MAC address (which you posted earlier, it's 14:CF:92:87:26:BE) - but no one can tell you how to do that without knowing your router type.
