hello,, to you welcome to bitcointalk.

Well, in my opinion, bitcointalk is a place for discussion and exchanging ideas related to bitcoin, economics, politics and so on. so I don't think it's aimed at entering bitcointalk to find income or money, so what should be prioritized is having to look for insight and information. but indeed there are some people who can make money from bitcointalk. but in my opinion don't prioritize income.

Any earning source for beginners? And what skills should I need to work on this site?

Hello and welcome to the forum!

You asked the question backwards, I believe.
Start with what you know to do and think about the skills you have that would be useful to others. For example, say you're a programmer, you can offer your expertise in programming, but maybe you also know web-design and graphic design. Maybe you have a knowledge of journalism and the online publishing process. You can serve as an editor or copywriter for content on the site. Or maybe you’re great at marketing, so you can do social media management, or lead email marketing campaigns.

If you really want to work, you need to evaluate what your interests are and what would be valuable to other people, and then go out and get the skills to develop that knowledge and expertise.

Any earning source for beginners? And what skills should I need to work on this site?
first, i will like you to know that this is the wrong mindset to start with, this forum is not an earning site like you called it, your friend must have misinformed you, this is a forum centered on Bitcoin and cryptocurrency discussions, it is a place to learn what you don't know and also teach others what you know, the earning part of this forum is a minority as that isnt the basics of the forum, it is just a side bonus which cannot be depended on.
Maybe your friend is a bounty hunter or signature campaigner, or maybe he or she provides some kind of service on the forum, all this are ways one can earn on the forum which I believe does not require any kind of special skill, as this is absolutely secondary to the actual purpose of the forum.
I hope this helps change the mindset you signed up on the forum with, this is not a earning site, but a discussion forum where peeps can teach and learn about crypto.

did you really receive the money from the site itself

I think some of the forum users are interested in the service.
The forum itself does not pay anything, maybe some kind of subscription company, but I was never interested in this little money.
Then that means the forum users won't earn money from the site but you can earn money because of the company that used the site to advertise their project as I have mentioned before is that they use the forum to make their project known by crypto enthusiast. As you have known, the forum is a site where many people come to learn, share and help those who have a problem on certain issues like how to add signature, avatar, wallet issues, mining rig and many more.

Hello everyone I just created an account recently on this site. A friend of mine informed me about this website actually I am interested in cryptocurrency.
Welcome to Bitcointalk forum.

I think you can get some clarifications from the welcome message. Briefly, forum is not an ATM so you can not earn and withdraw money from the forum if you don't contribute anything. Contribution means help other members, provide a service and so on.

How old are you? You asked such questions that you need to personally rewrite the entire forum for you to answer? How are you going to make money if you are not able to read and register basic things?
What's up with your friend? Is he far away? Why not embarrass yourself and just ask him? Giving answers to your questions is like leading you by the hand.
Yes, believe me, there are those who stupidly laugh at you. Grow up.

And I was also interested in the phrase that you are interested in cryptocurrency. You are sure? Or is it still income?

Any earning source for beginners? And what skills should I need to work on this site?

if you get information about which skills are needed, what will you do? buy them somewhere and then come here to get your money?

Am I the only one who has the feeling that the newbies who come here, come with preconceived notions that some kind of free money is being distributed here and you just need to grab it with your fist?

this forum has millions of registered users, although not all are always active, look at it as a potential market. The market which is basically oriented to bitcoin, cryptocurrencies and IT in general. So if you can offer anything which is acceptable in that context, it is a potential opportunity to make money in this place.

That's why you need to read and understand first before asking  forum-related questions on any kind of forum as a newbie. Most newbie questions were answered already fyi.

I won't be linking any kind of thread just like what others did, but there are sticked/pinned thread on this board or even in any boards on this forum. It's a thread to be noted and should be read before posting on those particular board, you should read those.

Asking about earning from the very first question you made is simply you come here because of that. A forum is a website where people discuss, sure most forum have marketplace where anyone can make money, but you need to follow rules first and read read read.

This is a forum, OP not an earning platform. Since you seem enthusiastic about being able to work and earn, I suggest you just go and freelance instead. You have plenty of opportunities to earn outside the forum and it would even help you in the longer term than just relying on bounties as that I assume that you are after, am I right?
See this forum as a place to make discussions and learning new stuffs about cryptos..

Firstly I would like to welcome you to have take the bold step of creating an account on this forum. You must have to understand that it doenst end there, there is a long way to go and you can't get to know all you ask in a go. The forum is one that demands devotion and participation. It is a learn as you go environment and you've got a lot to benefit by being a member of this forum. Most of all, the Knowledge about cryptos, how to work it and how to safe guard it.

You might have been introduced to the forum with a primary focus on what you can gain or reap on here but, I would advice you discard such idea. People with that idea don't seem to do so well here. The form is entirely a learning field and your sure to have other benefits as you go. Do your best to heed the suggestions as above, read the rules, abide by them, ensure to read and actively participate on discussions based on your understanding with others. Don't force your participation, effortlessly discuss and in time, you would understand how the forum works.

You can leave it empty if you don't want to add your usernames in there.

The forum isn't an earning site, so again regret to inform you should look for a job or business.

I think I made some money on this site.
You can that you did earn but the question is, did you really receive the money from the site itself or from theymos himself?. I think not and the forum is not an earning site as The Cryptovatot said. You really did have wrong impression the same as op about this site or this forum. To be precise, you did earn money as you have said but the one who paid you is not the forum or theymos but the company or whatever you call them who used this forum to advertise or whatever their goal is by running a campaign like signature campaign, twitter campaign where you can participate and get paid by them (not the forum).

Likely your friend should be in a position to answer those questions, but regardless, most of those things are pretty reiterative questions on the forum, and it’s generally best to search around for prior discussions on each of those topics than having them spoon-fed. By this I’m giving a pointer that should turn out to be helpful, and that is to manage to get some context beforehand (search/read), which often leads to better discussions in the aftermath.

I regret that you have introduced the forum with the wrong information. The forum isn't an earning site, so again regret to inform you should look for a job or business. You need to learn about cryptocurrency first, then you may find some source of income from here. It doesn't mean this is earning site. If you have skills in any subject related to crypto then would sell here. Sometimes project look for dev or designers. So if you have any similar skills then you have to wait with patience and look for the job. So please focus on learning, not earning first.

Hello everyone I just created an account recently on this site. A friend of mine informed me about this website actually I am interested in cryptocurrency.
Hello, Welcome to bitcointalk.org forum. If you are really interested in cryptocurrency  and  wanna get knowledge about it then you came in right place.

Activity is increased by posting and is updated every hour; however, the updated number of activity points will be reflected at your profile at the end of the current activity period. As a note, in case you have latent activity points from earlier periods (meaning activity periods where you didn't post daily: in this case, the days when you did not post become latent activity points), these ones will be updated on your profile after 1 hour. You can gain a maximum of 14 activity points every 2 weeks.
Merit
What is Merit and sMerit?
You have Merit and sendable Merit (sMerit). sMerits can only be send, they have no other purpose and hoarding them is pointless. When someone gives Merit to you they lose sMerit of the amount transferred and you gain Merit as well as sMerit (which in case you can send again)
Quick Example:
should I send 10 Merit to you for a post, my sMerit would decrease by 10.
Your merit would increase by 10 and your sMerit would increase by 5.
Position
In addition to activity, everyone now has a merit score, and you need both a certain activity level and a certain merit score in order to reach higher member ranks. The required scores are:
