ps: How secure is secure?

It would be just as secure as the "weakest" point. In  this this case,  it can't be more secure than public/private key EC cryptography.  Someone is developing Nxt mobile app for encrypted messages

Bitcoin is a bit**
I think that´s not possible - fee is 1NXT (or 0,1 - don´t know) - isn´t it?

I told my brother about crypto and the response was like  Huh Huh Roll Eyes
But when i said "maybe secure messaging" it was like  Shocked Grin

Noob Question:

What means "secure Messaging" exactly? Can it be used like email/Whats app?

secure message = encrypted message. I think the encryption will be optional. It should be kept in mind that sending NEM secure messages are costly (to avoid blockchain spam), so it is more oriented toward keeping important document, texts securely on the blockchain.

Will there be fee on sending message and how much? I heard that in NXT two people can just ping pong 1 NXT with message, when they have communication. Did I misunderstood?

P.S. I hoped I can have chat with other Nemsters without CIA, NSA, etc.

If that is true the the size of NXT blockchain will get pass Bitcoin one in maybe 3 months. Let's think about 100 pair of of botnet computer ping pong each other maximum messages all night long. Don't let desire overwhelm reason.

Hope we can build a marketing team with the same caliber as Doge's marketing team.

Hehe, every coin want to do that but seldom can success.
Doge's marketing strategy is very difficult to copy, the NEM must have their own unique things, such as technology innovation, ease of use, high safety...

The strategic incorporation of an ecosystem with a certain blockchain will ultimately decide the success of each system. I think everyone fully understand that Coinbase+Bitpay+Gift together probably account for 50% of Bitcoin valuation, so developing an ecosystem is of paramount importance and in this aspect we also have certain strategies and philosophies that in the end may matter a great deal more than any single feature of the blockchain. In this aspect, NEM initial token allocation could play a certain important role.

Very interesting.

Ufuture: could you please elaborate

Which part ?

i had an idea! (again) lol

have a competition for news outlets (bitcoin magazine, coin desk, cryptocoinsnews ect)

prize of 1 stake split 6:3:2 = 1st 2nd 3rd place

for best article written and published about what nem is, the amazing work going into nem, and where/what nem plans to be in the future.

we could use the new marketing guy(s) or a dev to do interviews with the news outlets to give them a real indepth idea of whats going on!

the upside is these news outlets will them have a fair amount of nem and want to post more articles to help spread the word about there new investment

have links to all the articles posted here so that everyone(only stake holders to prevent gaming) can bote on the best article.

the article must be tweeted also as a requirement for entry into the competition!

thoughts?

I think setting up an email interview between the developers and a cryptocurrency news website is a great idea. They'd probably write an article on NEM regardless, without the incentive of a stake reward to be honest; they're always looking for new stories.

However, this is something to think about more seriously when there is a working alpha, or perhaps at release. Then the developers will have concrete facts to talk about and show off, including a whitepaper etc.

My problem with things like that is we're paying them to write about us. Our goal should be to catch their attention (without money) and be  interesting enough so they'll want to write about us.

I think paying for media attention is ok! This is marketing, an marketing costs money. But when the media attention and community is etablished, then there is less reason for paying for marketing.
Agree. Martketing is the key in today's world.

- familiarity with marketing strategies of different crypo promoting group including Bitcoin, Doge, Blackcoin, Peercoin, NXT.
- good at English writing for promotional materials.

Requirements:
- can spend at least 20 hours per week on NEM related promotional tasks.
- can volunteer for NEM related works.
- being a NEM stakeholder is preferable (not necessarily one right now but should be one over the long-term).
- can formulate a long term strategy as well as individual promotional projects for NEM.

Benefit:

Please send me a P.M describing your relevant experiences and I will contact you for further interviews. This is a very important position for NEM, so I expect the selection process will take sometimes but hopefully we will have the position filled before NEM alpha release.
+1,A pretty nice job! Grin

It is little bit unethical to like kodtycoon has suggested, IMO marketing should lead to the point when news outlets wake interest about NEM and write stories etc.

Well, I heard that Microsoft pays producers of computers to make them incompatible with older versions of windows, to force people to buy new version every 2 years. I see guys, that lot of you here are idealists, It is nice. Im just not sure if success goes hand in hand with idealism. Just saying.

Why is it unethical to pay for written stories?
What if everyone does this? Then you are left in the dark with your superduper product.

There is no harm in paying to get noticed. You do the same at events. You pay an admission fee to be part of the event, hence you pay for the attention. Paying a few papers and THEN getting noticed by the unpaid press / the public is very normal to me.

+1 It's called marketing.
