Why are the tokens exchangeable for NEM only 2 weeks after the NEM launch?
Alpha has 3 phase,(0,1,2) now Nem is on phase 1 i think (dev test it)
In phase 2 Alpha will go public, so everyone has a chance to test it.

There is no set date but June might be possible and from what I have seen I wouldn't call it a alpha

Thanks, but I just heard from the main NEM page that a beta might be out in August.. Which one should we go with?
I understand your point over there about a project needing time to be done right. That makes sense. However, the original NEM thread was launched in January and having a beta release in August is like having to wait 8 bitcoin years, as a podcaster might say.
While I am not intimately involved with the project and have little to lose you can see why this could be frustrating for some people as there will assuredly be major changes in this particular field of finance (regulatory, technologically and economically) between now and then.
I have one other question that I can't seem to get an answer to over there or anywhere else..

I understand that the entire process is voluntary but I don't know if that was meant to be a tradeoff for being able to cash out NEM to NXT early, logistical issues or else why wouldn't they just make that exchange available on the day of launch?

I see the 3 same guys pushing the prices down all the time. Is not sellers anymore or whatever.. they are trying to take it down. Maybe ill buy few more nxt and start buying their stakes every time they try to manipulate and push prices down. under 28k nxt is only manipulation to push down by the same guys.Kind of annoying. Always same thing.. people getting many stakes cheap by scaring people and making them sell.

The interesting side effect of all of this NEMstake trading is that NXT price went up. People need NXT to trade NEMstakes.

there has been less than 300 sent out so far so the market is constantly being diluted. this will continue until there is a surge in buying(when alpha comes out) so until people stop claiming stakes or the alpha comes out, nem will continue to decline. perhaps down to around 10k....
IMO not so sure it will go that way, many of the guys who were ragea to sell stakes have sold allready and guys who now claim their stakes could be doing so for different reasons (security, options to sell when price surge etc). Cannot really never predict the markets that easily.
Do we have any data, which tell how many people have claimed their stakes but not received yet?
I feel little odd to se kodtycoon constantly telling that price will go down and so on, What's the point to do so.....

? im not spreading fud??? this is really good.. we get rid of those who want to dump.. perhaps some people will buy up more shares but hopefully these people will be more willing to donate.. its a short term thing.. it wont last long.. if you think nem will succeed then selling your nem stake and trying to buy in 1 or 2 k cheaper and running the risk of loosing .1 or .2 stake then there is no reason to worry about this or care about it.. i just dont see the point in saying oh jesus its guna go to 100k in 3 days everyone buy in,, cos noobs will see this.. take this shitty advice and then loose hope when nem does go lower and sell what they bought at a loss and loose faith in nem... better to be honest and prevent noobs from loosing out on getting cheap nem! so no im not yelling it and spreading fud... im speaking the truth in the hope that someone with few coins doesnt end up with fewer...r u saying now is not a good time to buy? wait some more, if almost sure price will continue go down? how low u think it go?

Plus there is only about 4.5 tokens for sell under 29k nxt.
the guy who bought 10 stakes at 20k each has over 4Million nxt. Think about it and u'll see price will go obviously up. Big money is wise
