mining is so 2012-2013
2.2% importance running over a week and nothing harvested. Is that normal? Vested over 1.8 mil

no, you should have gotten blocks almost everyday, and some days a few.

my first guess is that the node you are using for harvesting wasn't turned on.

there are two ways.

1) you can harvest on your home computer be leaving your computer on and local harvesting going (you can actually use delegated harvesting on your home computer too).

2) you can activate delegated harvesting and get somebody else's node to harvest for you.

Seems like one of these two ways wasn't working properly.

any guess when will Node reward start?

As we are still discussing the exact rules for node rewards we haven't even started coding it. So it will take some time meaning it will not start within a few weeks.

I was actually wondering the same thing, so thanks for that answer.

You have auto-boot set to true and you're using remote node AmandaCole.nemtrader.com.

Booting remote node is currently impossible from within NCC

That node is not online, so choose another node: http://www.nodeexplorer.com/

Did anyone make a backup of the master.zip from jadedjack or has it still on his Ubuntu-node? Please check your VPS and mirror it, please.

NIS is synchronizing. At block 11080, est. 48 days behind. (at block 11080)
And error ERROR 306 every time. Any idea how to fix it? Already tried to put already preload db and remove it. Only nis5_mainnet.trace.db becomes bigger in size. nis5_mainnet db file even not create itself. (in case of deletion)

You should have posted a picture of your girlfriend wearing the same t-shirt...

Where is this guy? After months of taunting us to post the white paper, and we do, he disappears.

I actually miss CfB some.  He was kind of funny.

Here i am ; )

@favdesu: there is indeed a max number of harvesters that can simultanously harvest on a node. If you are running your own node you can increase the number by editing the config.properties file in the nis subfolder of the installation folder. The entry is

Quote
nis.unlockedLimit = 1

Increase it to 2 or 3 for example.

running it local. that means I'm still harvesting, and I don't have to start harvesting each time I start the wallet?

Probably means that you restarted the gui after delegated harvesting was activated and NIS still uses the original account. Try restarting NIS/NCC and gui, that should work.

Just reading about the proposed NEM Nodes for the network.
As a loyal stakeholder who did not dump, i think its only fair that the 3million NEM threshold should be dropped and made in favour of 2.25 million NEM which is the amount of one NEMstake.

Any thoughts?
I also dont know how the 70K of NEM per day comes about, thats alot of NEM!
There must be alot of transactions to pay for this, but is is a random "draw" that each day a random node will be selected for payout?

Ok...so my AWS instance is so HORRIBLY slow, its gotten to the point of being unusable.  It's been ten minutes now and it still can't load the goddamn webpage.

Would I be able to follow this guide and retrieve what funds I have stored there? If so, it'll take me a couple hours before I'm in that directory, but it's better than losing my balance...
