Seems like this thread is running out of steam. Let's hope that is the quiet before the storm.

I think,it is nothing special.Devs are working on something right now,and this is the reason why thread is so quiet.Lot of people are just reading this thread, and waiting for some announcements from devs.

We all must focus on new people, and we need to think, how to get more people to NEM.I think, all people who are speaking about price and marketing, are not serious,or they are trolls and price manipulators.

Let's speak about new ideas, and development, and not about price.

PS:dandruff,I know, what you are big fan of NEM,and I do not say, what you are not serious or troll Smiley

Watch out the storm will hit once the paper is published.

When you are in your wallet click on settings and under "host" change it to the address of a remote nis, I suggest [Suspicious link removed]

Ah, I see it, thanks. Last question - Have I - after click on "Start remote harvesting" - insert my wallet password ? I tried it (clicked it), didn't use my password, no error showed me then. So, can I hope that delegated harvesting (for my vested balance / my account) is successfully running (on [Suspicious link removed]) now? Is there a way how to check the status of harvesting (on that / any remote node) ?

Thanks a lot!

As far as I know there is no way to check status of harvesting other then instead of saying "start delegated harvesting" it should now say "stop delegated harvesting". Thats all it is working and you just have to wait for blocks to come in. My importance score is 4.78% and I get about 4 blocks a day.

It's a shame that there's "no status", could developers change/add it this function in the next release ? Anyway, is or is not necessary to insert wallet password after click on "Start delegated harvesting" ? It looks like it works in the same way with good / bad / no password. But if it really works, I don't know, haven't any (remote) harvested block till now (my importance score is 1.39%).

Nearly useless. Google for XEM and you know, what I mean. The vote-title is bad. It should be changed to "NEM / XEM (New Economy Movement)". No one knows what XEM is, except the XEM-voters.

By the way: I WANT MY STAKE! Makoto: Stop harvesting with our stakes an deliver it... :/  Tongue

have you not seen the list of posts about nem on that group page? If someone has scrolled down to the vote they have glanced over 2-3 videos about nem and other posts.. Not useless imo

Hello, please consider voting in this poll:

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/poll-is-sub-billion-dollar-marketcap-any-indicator-of-success-3-days-only-1042097

It's an attempt to measure whether the altcoin community feels that marketcap is an indicator of success, and possibly discuss it.

I'm targeting ~500+ page ANN threads, and not trying to spam everything with bumps, so please kindly don't delete this unless I've accidentally posted it more than once in your thread.

All opinions are welcomed.

Hi, NEMsters!

I have a question about delegate harvesting -- local harvesting working in my NIS/NCC client on my workstation like a charm. So I did it "Activate delegated harvesting" on this local client (is it correct? Wouldn't be on remote machine / NEM ?), waited for 6 hours / 360 confirmations. Then I click to the button "Start delegated harvesting", it wants password to my wallet and then I got the error about "Maximum number of harvesters allowed on server has been reached.". I suppose I hadn't configured remote harvesting issues on my NEM client on my workstation - but I suppose somewhere in this step I'll be delegate node (IP? appropriate "remote account"?), to which I'd like to transfer harvesting. Or is it remote harvesting "automagical", it means it's automatically delegated my vested balance into some of full NEM nodes in the remote network ?

I run the latest version 0.6.28 (standalone version on Linux). I'm also able to build this node on some of my servers, this is not a problem. I just like to clearly understand, how delegated harvesting algorithm works and I don't want to make some fatal mistake. So, better to ask professionals here before, I guess ;-)

Thanks for your hints, thanks to all hardly working NEM developers and good luck to whole NEM project!

In settings you must replace localhost with the address of a remote nis ( i know the set up guide is terrible and doesnt touch on this important step).

Where exactly? In nis/config.properties or ncc/config.properties ? And which line? `nem.host' ? Then I'll not be able to connect to local node / workstation, isn't ?

Anyway, for running a "server node" is or is not necessary to create some another (even if empty) wallet/account? Is on remote node necessary to run both ./nix.runNis.sh & ./nix.runNcc.sh, or `Nis' is enough ? Communication between local client and server node is thru 7890/http (or 7891/https) ?

Thanks a lot!

When you are in your wallet click on settings and under "host" change it to the address of a remote nis, I suggest nemnode.tk
