but I think many new users will just be running nis+ncc on default port. isn't that a real issue for the network? I mean you said if ncc can be accessed then nis can be crashed!? you guys should fix that somehow.
1) I wouldn't know how you can crash NIS by accessing NCC. Btw: This does NOT mean people can access your wallet! You are using a strong password, so thats not possible even IF you have the port 8989 open!
2) By default all ports are closed in your router. Just don't open port 8989, and you are fine.
3) This is not an issue for the network. This is not even a security issue for anybody. But of course it is annoying, if people can create wallets with your NCC
So yes, it IS recommended to close the port which is used for NCC, which usually is 8989.As a BTT-stakeholder, can I already claim my stake now or is there nothing new since launch?

Is it possible for me to see at every point how much has been spent already on the different parts ?
This is blockchain technology, every transaction is public
Who decides how to spend it ? Who has access to these funds ?
The core team decides. No single person has access, we have all funds in multisig secured accounts.
Just a suggestion,
I think it would be nice to have the social links visible on the
homepage of nem.io as well as within the client.
This would give people more opportunity to get involved and help promote NEM
Apart from facebook/twitter
Bitcoin TalkRedditNEM ForumIRC (#ournem)Take a look at this: blog.nem.io/overview
But we could indeed include some in the client. No high priority though
Thanks for the idea!
