The sock and unclaimed stakes should be used at the discretion of all NEMheads, IMO.
We need to have a well funded, multi-year marketing and protocol development plan in place.
NXT is a good example of what to do and what not to do. We definitely don't want to do what they did the way they did it. We have a chance here to do it right.
Imagine uniting the tech of NXT, the user base of DOGE, with the social networking of Stellar all into one coin. This is what NEM can and should strive for.
and that is just the short term plan
Makoto, Pat, BloodyRookie, Gimre, and Jaguar are stand up individuals and have poured a tremendous amount of work into this baby. Let's try to support them in anyway we can and try to remember why the New Economy Movement started in the first place.
This is just one of the many things NEM is doing different. 5 core developers working hard. This hasn't really been done like this before. Most coins are just one or two guys, smart but not well rounded. In addition to the 5 core devs, there are quite of few other people that are working very hard on things other than the core code.
And yes, it is being delayed, but when it does come, there will be the most evenly distributed amount of coins ever on a crypto.
NEM is doing things quite differently around here.
Some people are getting frustrated because of the delays. I get it. In a world where so many coins have been pumped, so many were scams, and so many just flat out flopped, it is disheartening to not have something release on time. And it is natural to be suspicious after time and time getting cheated, but this is real, this is really different, and it is happening.
