It's been a while (actually quite long) since I've posted any stats, so here you go...

April 19: Tests run: 781, Failures: 0, Errors: 0, Skipped: 0
May 01: Tests run: 878, Failures: 2, Errors: 2, Skipped: 3
May 09: Tests run: 952, Failures: 6, Errors: 3, Skipped: 3
May 17: Tests run: 1042, Failures: 14, Errors: 2, Skipped: 3

NIS: Aug 9th: Tests run: 1684, Failures: 2, Errors: 13, Skipped: 0
NCC: Aug 9th: Tests run: 425, Failures: 3, Errors: 1

Most errors in last run of NIS are due to one test, that hasn't been updated to conform to changes in NIS

Some more stats (Sep 04) http://forum.nemcoin.com/index.php?topic=2180.msg4907#msg4907

i think Nem price will rise a lot over next days, given the amount of stakes bought in the last days.
it'd be a surprise if it doesn't happen.

The asset has seen a very nice rice in value this week so I doubt it will go much higher for the time being.

Anyone else having problems with the NXT wallet?  I want to buy more NEMstake, but it seems to be downloading the blockchain for the last couple of days.

Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks.

I'm having no problems here running NXT Wallet 1.3 with NRS version 1.2.8.

I just received a withdrawal from Cryptsy today to my NXT wallet and everything is fine. When I updated the NRS version to 1.2.8 earlier though it took quite a while to reload the database, but only about 10 or 15 minutes. Not sure what problem you could be having...

Please skip it. Maybe you can pay an additional dev with it. Something like milestone payment for defined goals.

+1

The AE is already giving the chance to everyone to acquirer stakes. Use the remaining stakes to ensure current/future development of NEM.
Agree, use remaining stakes for development too.

+1 for funding future development/paying devs/what ever is needed.

+1. And possibly gifting a few to famous/important crypto people. A few stakes could also be used for promo/marketing on Reddit, Twitter, Facebook, etc..

good option.
another option would be to burn it.

Awesome. I'm interested in knowing how you made that Cheesy

@makoto1337, thanks for asking. the short answer to that is that I used Maya for modeling, texturing, and lighting, Nuke for composting, and photoshop for minor adjustment.

I just gonna drop it here. free to use if anyone found it useful.

golden rain .nice Smiley

@smith coins, Thanks!

Magical!! I am impressed!
This should be in the newsletter front cover!

@rockethead, thank you! I am glad you found it useful.

Great. I used Maya as well. Care to share the model you made?

I don't mind. How do I send it to you?

Could we not use some to get the nem source Code peer reviewed by leading academic(s) in the field? If we want to be serious about this.. We need to do things properly and that would be a great step in the right direction. We could then summarise the report and have it published across the media and no one will be able to discredit the work of the devs
But NIS will be open source,  why waste the funds?
it's not a waste.. If you owned overstock would you just integrate a new type of crypto if it has not ever had a serious review done by at minimum 1 highly respected academic people in the area? I know I wouldn't even think about it it would be a straight up no. Doesn't matter how good the tech is.. If it hasn't been thoroughly checked over by a said person(s) then its not going anywhere serious long-term
If i were overstock i would find my own people to look it over for two reasons:  1. Better trust 2. To make sure the underlying technology will meet my needs.
good point..

Does anyone know how much it would actually cost to get the code peer reviewed?

Get a genius undergrad/post grad to look at the codes and if he or she believes in it, ask this person to challenge anyone out there that thinks these codes are flawed. Pay him or her for the work. Who knows a NEM Vitalik of the world may emerge from there. ;-)

Since NEM is a movement the stakes can be given away to average joe, help them achieve financial freedom.

I vote no to a give away.

There was a difference between giving something away when it was $0 (January) and then giving it away when it is worth $800 (September).  A lot of people would just intentionally sign up knowing they'll get a free $800 (or whatever the difference from the buy in).   It took months on the asset exchange to remove the weakest hands and we don't need to weed past another hundred.

I never said to give full stakes plus they could be given to trusted members of the community to be given out to their friends /coworkers who have never been involved with crypto before.

I agree also. What about keeping the allocation for ' an unforeseen problem fund' ?

I was concerned about other things too.  155 isn't that much.  If we organized a give away thread, 155 spots would probably be filled up within a day.  I can just see the whines happening "you guys didn't warn me!" - "I was away when it happened!!" and it'll probably result in more net bad feelings than net good feelings.

155 isnt much now but later the value could be very high. If we have an 'unforeseen problem' fund we stop potential folks from dumping and also keep a potentially high value fund for unexpected problems that could arise in the future.
