It doesn't matter at all ,but for example nhz has day's bounty 666 nhz per node and it doen't mean some strange at all as well...
IMO I find current LOGO very good

I don't see the religious references before but when you said that I now see some. The fact is that tomoe is old and traditional shape and it is bound to have some references. Someone just posted a star-trek reference which oddly resembles the current logo.  I would prefer a more modernistic styling.

+1 I also didn't see 666 reference before. and although I don't thing the present interim logo is bad i somehow feel it can be improved.

Is the logo on the first page the definitive logo?
Was there a separate thread with all the logo's? (must have missed that)

The new LOGO is kinda stylish, but I doubt that it will cause some risks in the Christian world  Sad

http://www.sodahead.com/living/how-many-biblical-references-are-there-for-666-the-number-of-the-beast/question-3299455/?slide=2

In that page is a 4 x 4 picture, whose smaller pictures contain "nemish logos", numbers 2, 9 , 11, 12, 15.

I understood that NEM LOGO's history is in Asian culture. That may be free from "666", but the Western World is not.

Will the devs take the risk with that LOGO  Huh

Sorry but i find this rather pathetic. If anyone is prepared to go to such lengths to see something that isn't there, then thats their choice (religion is, after all, notorious for this). Doesn't mean the development team should pamper to it (and therefore justify/encourage the behavior)

ultimately, people, for whatever reason, are always going to be upset. It's the way it goes. Devs need to decide who has legitimate criticisms and act accordingly. This is an example whereby it isn't legit. By pussyfooting around such silly things, they're only going to waste their time and damage the project, and it's reputation (as sane individuals will be scared off - who would participate if devs havn't got their priorities straight?)

it's like you said, when we think logically.
Haters will not think so. They will seek the weak points of NEM and this 666 may be that.
NEM should tempt masses of people. The masses won't act with sense, they act with fear and hope and greed. There' lies the numbers and their magic. ... for example try market NEM 4.0 to China  Wink

The question is not about dev's sense, not at all, this has nothing to do with sense, not even the sense's control.

The complex logos may cause risks. Maybe that is the reason why MasterCard and Visa have so simple and dull logos.

Where do we post bugs? Is there a github repo for issues?Huh?
I would love to have one.
When booting up a node, the window contains text, but the text is white (Mac in safari)
We'll set it up, meanwhile, this is the best place http://forum.nemcoin.com/index.php?board=26.0
We set up this github repo: https://github.com/NewEconomyMovement/NIS. Please submit bugs and feature requests as issues.

I wrote the first request.

Thanks. That would be helpful. But where can I put UI issues in NCC ?

At this stage, I would just open all issues (both NIS and NCC) in that repo. It should make it easier since testers don't have to decide if something is a NIS or NCC bug. The dev team can triage.

Are these being sold by NemDevs? And why? As far as I remember, They said the initial plan never had anything that said they would sell nem tokens.

Hi awais3344, stakes can be claimed by stakeholders, 1 NEMstake representing 1M NEM.
Nemstakes are issued and traded on NXT Asset Exchange and can be exchanged for NEM after the official launch in a few months.

sorry then. I misunderstood. How do I claim a nem token? is there a step by step? Do I have to send someone my nxt address and then they send me nemtoken on nxt asset exchange? quite confusing to me
