Some information about testing the Symbol network: testing is carried out by 3 essentially independent teams. From the side of the developers, from the community in Japan, from the HEM HUB side.
Load testing of the Symbol network on January 26-28 showed really good results in many respects: stability, speed, reliability under loads. There is a good chance that the productive network will be launched in February

There is information that another version will be released (in the next day or two) with the correction of the identified problems, after which a global network load test will be carried out (2-3 days). If everything goes as it should, and there are enough signs of this, the network can be expected to launch in February

Yep, to the March at best. To that time many will leave that boat for better kicking cryptocurrencies. Only real NEMsters will stay. Good thing is that cryptomania should last few months longer, i think about June or July as peak for this bubble. Maybe "the team of turtle Ninja" (more turtle than Ninja) will not screw this up.

It is not clear where such panic and misinformation come from - at the moment the preparation and testing process is proceeding on schedule. I understand that due to unjustified expectations (launch plans were postponed in December and January), but I think that a high-quality and actually working product is better than a project with real problems in a productive version.
Agree with you. Lately this forum became place of fud and miss information.
Devs are working hard to finish soon as they can.
Delays come from testing and finding flaws in network and that means they work their job.
And I will add a little more positive - we tested the nodes, I must say, against the background of a month ago, they optimized and stabilized the work of the nodes very well. Withstands a very good load, well, the network itself during load testing (done by the community, regardless of the developers) "swallowed" the load much greater than in official tests. So the real work is visible, I hope there will be some kind of stability with the timing, and by the end of February the main network will start

- this person want get cheaper XEMs at all cost, waits for that move from impatient
I prefer to analyze price charts than spreading FUD. If i will not get more cheaper XEMs its not the end of the world for me, even if i earn nothing from XEM or XYM its not the end too. Most people dont realise that investments and speculation should be treaded like playing in the casino. I play for fun, other play for new Lambo, and of not get it and lose all the money in this play, it makes them frustrated. Frustration is the main fuel for FUD.

Often some people's angry arguments or FUD make me thinking that they want to affect to the project or even to the prices.
And also often the markets are too big that they cannot be affeced, but it does not prevent the FUDders to try to get the prices go down.

BTC's value will stabilize over the long term, probably at the point when 1 Satoshi = $1. 
Then Bitcoin would no longer be usable in its current form, as the fees could no longer be paid.

The NEM Software CTO posted an article on the plans to refresh NEM NIS1 last month. There are four things in the roadmap, see below official Twitter post and link below.

I don't see anything that NEM could do better after the introduction of Symbol. On the contrary, Symbol also has features that would have long been expected for NEM. As I said before, I believe NEM will suffer the same fate as NXT after ARDOR was introduced.

Does anyone else believe in a great future for NEM (XEM) project? What event/new can affect the attraction of new investors?
NEM has always stayed within the top 30 coins for several years, although there has been almost no progress. With Symbol comes a big upgrade and the development and marketing are professionalized. That's why I think that Symbol (aka NEM 2.0) has a bright future ahead if they don't make big mistakes.
In my opinion awareness of the technology and features within NEM (NIS1) were / is very low.
For years NEM technology and features were ahead of time but the market did not picked it up.
As you can see lately some projects were implementing features that NEM had already for 2 ,3 years
and that was big news. As you may know when .eth decentralized domain system was implemented
all the crypto media where full of the new regarding this.
When factom project implemented apostille for notarization of
documents the news were talking about that.
Nobody knows that all this features were possible in NEM already
2 years before that other projects even started implementing this features.
It would be really sad that such a technological masterpiece just get lost and dies
like Qora and NXT which also have been technologically ahead of time.
I hope that open sourcing the project will bring more developers and users to it
and that awareness of NEM (NIS1) will rise even after symbol release.

Given the positioning of Symbol as a platform for a REAL business (and this is very close to reality), the platform must have a set of libraries for the most popular development languages in order to enable developers to SIMPLY and QUICKLY implement this technology and solutions into the business processes of their companies or customers ... If most other cryptocurrencies are essentially projects of the "cryptocurrency for the sake of cryptocurrency" level, then Symbol is positioned as a "blockchain technology for real tasks of real business", and this requires SIMPLE and affordable mechanisms for "connecting" technology by customers to their systems

Some are accusing the delay of the XYM launch ... they say that without the delay XEM would be going up.
I think that is nonsense. It cannot be sure. There are some coins which have gone up since the 14th of Jan, but many has been quite the same during the last 4 days.
They awaited final price spike, and huge award, so i understand that frustration, this frustration will be greater if they gave away their XEMs and will see price x 10 in the future, when bullrun in the whole market will be faster than now and much wider than now.
