Interesting note in this article on TechCrunch
http://jp.techcrunch.com/2017/03/01/antwerp-city-to-evaluate-mijin/

Looks like NEM/mijin beat out Ethereum etc ... in a competition  Grin

Seems Apostille has some solid use cases here for what they want to experiment with.

"In meet-up, about 10 products such as Hyperledger and Ethereum competed in Hackasson, among which mijin was selected" (Teck Bureauro's representative director Takuya Asama). Members of the NEM / mijin developer community in Europe seems to have participated in meat-up and won the selection."

Great news!

Antwerp experimenting with Mijin/NEM platform.  Interesting to see what POC's come of this!

This further shows NEM breaking out of its Asian presence as well!

Hire me! Spanish translator and community manager!
I understand more or less what proof of importance is. It takes into accounts the number of coins (similar to proof of stake)  but the importance part is unclear to me, how as a XEM holder would get importance to the network if I'm not sending XEM out to others, I mean I'm only buying XEM to my desktop wallet hehe. I have a brother, does that mean that if i send xem to him and he send xem back to me we would get more importance to the network? doesn't make sense.

I would say, it's like using a credit card where you earn points, the more you use it, the more points you get (increase proof of importance)....something like that...I know someone tried to game it and got banned by the nodes I believe...

Let's wait for some expert on the topic to explain it more...

Lol yeah I'd like a better explanation. But I get what you say. The thing that I don't know is how the algo anticipate what i want to do with my brother for example, if i want to increase my importance i can just send him XEM and my brother sends that XEM back to me? I guess that is solved with the fee per transaction right? Or what I'm missing here?

I was thinking a XEM market like eBay would be an awesome idea to attract XEM users to spend their XEM there to get importance. Also, will help with Market adoption because other online stores would start accepting XEM as a payment method because they will want to attract XEM customers to their stores. But first, an official XEM Store would need to be created. Just an idea i throw there.

I dont think it makes a huge difference, but it may change when the network gets more transactions going through.

Mine has been hovering just under 3% since day 1.

ANTWERP CITY PLATFORM AS A SERVICE: CO-CREATION & INNOVATION

The local government of Antwerp is striving to make personalised digital service and interaction with its citizens, businesses, students and teachers, colleagues… available.
No matter who they address, the same principles apply: customer-centric and customised service at any time, any place, and via any device.

To offer such a personalised approach, the digital platforms often use the same underlying IT components (or engines) such as notification, online payments, digital signatures, user management, and so on.

A City Platform as a Service lets us re-use components and prevents us from creating or buying them over and over again.
In the past few months, we have been co-creating this platform together with startups.

Ok, how to activate nano wallet? Cant import wallet from old windows installer and delegated harvesting is off.

EDIT: Solved this above . How to delegate harvesting in nanowallet please.

U seem to be radiating intense stupidity here, dont try to get closer to me if u dont wanna see me puking on my knees. To address ur concern, nano does not need activation as its already activated. Its mechanism and entrails work similarly to nuclear bomb.
