lots of sales, price is in a free fall.
Hopefully the fall stabilizes soon and we get some news to nudge us back up in marketcap and volume.

Using Google translate, I found reference on some Japanese blogs that NEM had a recent article in the physical newsprint of Nikkei?  Comments implied it was looking at NEM blockchain, Mijin and Infoteria.  Positive piece?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Nikkei

Traffic to NEM IO is almost 50% Japanese now.

Looks rather interesting, there have been numerous japanese links posted in this thread and google translate has been rather hopeless with Japanese to English translation, but most of the stuff ive read seems very positive from what i can make out.

It would be good if some from the Japanese community could translate any news articles over there and share with us, and I have indeed seen some articles that have been translated already.

Perhaps we could give a bounty for some translators?

Anyway that says alot in itself that 50% of the traffic is Japanese.

How is the support in XEM? Is this a good time to accumulate? Is the dump over? I want to add more in my position because I speculate there are more good news and announcements to come.

Are there updates from Japan? It would be nice to know the further developments over there.

There are various blogs over there all in Japanese with various articles, but most of them dont reach us, let alone be translated.

Needless to say that there is ongoing developments, most of the major partnerships and releases will be underwraps and not be made public until its official.

The next major update I expect to hear will be related to catapult, but there is always the odd partnership with dragonfly fintech and mijin etc that you can always expect.

Yeah, price and marketcap have stayed fairly stable at around 60 million, the volume is what is concerning to me. As of about 5 minutes ago, volume was down to 58,000 which is really really low, if it stays that far down a slip to around 20-30m marketcap is not outside the realm of possibility.. and if that happens without something crazy coming down the pipe we could slip into obscurity. Now obviously I don't want that to happen, but it is something to think about.

And where is the problem? Stable price = no profit. Dynamic price = profit. Price went up. Now the price must go low. Traders dont buy in after price spiked up. Now is time to sell out. dump price under market value and make a despair to make a good rebuy. Only a price below 300sat maybe below 100sat will make smart money to think about buying in. Dumb money are already pointed at another currencies, thats why there is no volume.

Smart money sold = waiting for dump.
Dumb money are already full in (but nobody buys from them) or pointed at other currencies.

No reason to trade (only from bagholders capitulation).

Me personally im waiting for price sinking for a rebuy. Dont forget, the price is 1-10.000 times higher than the initial stake price and 30 times higher than bottom price few months ago. Dont be so greedy and wait until the lift goes back to ground level to buy in again.

I think mentioning the price without relation to the quality is meaningless and not persuasive.
Had better get more information about the quality of NEM first.
Most NEM holders are not so foolish as to dump NEM for you to buy at low price.  Wink

yeah, but sadly iPhone 4s is not supported...

Is it? Does not really surprise me if thats the case, but i have not read anything about that.
iOS is a real pig for devs in this area. Ive seen this happen with other apps in the past on iOS.

Android is really the way to go to avoid this.

Thank God I'm an atheist
Thanks, to point me to this fact. I will try to lower the -XmX to 700 and try to run it again.

Where could I find the right system logs? I am using Debian Linux on my VPS.

Installed a NEM node on my VPS. The node is running a few moments then the NIS server is terminated with the following message

Quote
./nix.runNis.sh: line 4:  5334 Killed                  java -Xms512M -Xmx1G -cp ".:./*:../libs/*" org.nem.deploy.CommonStarter

My VPS has 1 vCore and 768 MB RAM.

Any suggestions?

Probably the kernel Out Of Memory Killer killed your NIS (info about that in your system logs).

Parameter -Xmx must be lower than your RAM

Has your VPS  any swap space?

system logs are in /var/log directory

you better create a swap file if you have less than 2GB RAM
