OKWave's trading was halted by going up too much based on news of using Mijin (this made national news): http://www.asahi.com/business/stock/kabuto/Ctkkabuto1820255.html

Let's hope we get XEM/JPY, XEM/CNY, etc. soon!   Wink
Why not asking BTCBOX if they are interested in adding XEM/JPY or did this already happen?
https://www.btcbox.co.jp/

You guys can try to write to them and ask them.

Zaif said they would add us within this month.

I dont speak Japanese, but hopefully there is enough support in the Japanese community to ask their exchanges to add XEM! Cheesy

A couple more are doing something similar.

BitCourt of Argentina to validate diplomas on the Blockchain

BitProof: 17-Year-Old Entrepreneur Brings University Diplomas to the Blockchain
http://cointelegraph.com/news/115308/bitproof-17-year-old-entrepreneur-brings-university-diplomas-to-the-blockchain

This can be done with the NEM platform, it already has editable m-of-n multisig.

Thanks jabo38.  I installed nemwallet 0.6.72 and the installation seemed to go smoothly.  The icon on my computer indicates that NIS is running (local node not booted) and NCC is running.
The nemwallet 0.6.72 face page (NEM community client) where I would insert my password to open is blank and I can't figure out how to bring the wallet up.
I checked the tutorials but no luck  Can you direct me in the right direction.
Many thanks.

The devs are looking into this.

I'm just a little curious if you went to http://127.0.0.1:7777/ would that load the lightwallet for you?  (If you are running NIS, that is the way you run your lightwallet locally)

Hi Nickelback65,

The devs have issued a new minor release to fix the bug you had, so hopefully the new release will work for you better.  0.6.73 http://nem.io/install.html

For everyone, the new release addresses some issues like a small bug fixes.

logs that got saved in xml
in some cases, ncc main page could show up as almost blank, this should be fine now
small issue when selecting mosaics tab in ncc
one unneeded config.properties file in standalone package
If you're using the installer make sure to stop running ncc and nis before running the installer!

NEM requires Java 8
Remember installer requires 64-bit java
You can download java from official page: http://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp10

You can start NCC and NIS with an installer from the following link: http://bob.nem.ninja/installer/30
Standalone version: http://bob.nem.ninja/20

Hi jabo38.
Sorry to say that I had no luck with the 0.6.73 http://nem.io/install.html.  I used Google Chrome and received a 404 - Not Found message on the page.
Then I tried IE and Firefox with the same result.
I appreciate your thoughts.

Haha ... pretty awesome.

How can NEM get on any prominent Japanese crypto exchange?

With lots of press/action in Japan it only makes sense for investors like-wise to be able to buy/sell NEM there in JPY.

Yes I feel this is absolutely crucial and a priority.

Hoping to hear some good news soon

If you can read Japanese, Google translate is horrible ... Smiley

Another Mijin partnership with okwave.jp, huge web portal.

Seems okwave is testing the blockchain for login authentication.

If someone who reads japanese can sum up those press releases would be nice.

Yes, OKwave is really a huge company here.

here I am experimenting with ligthwallet, all work fine - all functions are available in full and is not observed any failures, but there has been no new translations
I have a few questions for security - was taken an account that is already stored coins when creating lightwallet requested privat key, password from the main account and the name will this or can this information in a secure store and you will not get if especially with regards to the privat key? now with regards to the proposed nodes , but also provided in a further node not a developer?
thank you

NEM devs are always concerned about security.  NEM has many security features that no other chain has.  In fact the Lightwallet itself is a security feature.  NEM has two-tiered architecture designed in it from day 1 that this is taking advantage of.  Cheesy
thanks, correctly realizing and making the conclusion - the password privat key remain on the computer, but not uploaded to the server, thanks again

Yes, but do notice the security advice that gimre posted.
You should still only use a trusted NIS for as long as the lightwallet is served by NIS and not a standalone application you can download. Anyone could just adapt the lightwallet that their NIS serves to steal your priv-key.
Yes, I agree, but it should also pay attention though, just simply careful inspection in the future will protect

Hi,

sadly I realized that I have not enough time to run NEMNO.DE anymore. I think it can be a platform with great potential in the future and so I don't want to wipe all the work I put into it. I'm selling the domain, including all website-files (dynamic PHP, HTML, CSS) for cheap XEM.

Current price (updated on January, 5th 2015): 550,000 XEM or 0.25 BTC

Remember, there might be a node-reward someday. So you can get some extra XEM, by running this project.
