2nd v1.5.x benchmark - phone vs computer vs USB ASIC
24 hours mining report

Last 24 hours was another day of slow blocks moving day. Average block time is slower, could be 1.5 minutes to 2 minutes per block due to some ASIC rigs leaving.
Still the benchmark is same for android vs 1 cpu linux using --interval 10 in cheetah_cpuminer
4 core android (--cpu 6 on 8cpu in UserLand app): 70000 NENG
1 cpu linux: 40000 NENG

USB ASIC (futurebit Moonlander2) on 1 full node + 1 pool rotating: 90000 NENG

The 4 core android phone mining performance continue to beat the 1 cpu linux. In fact the phone reward is close in against Moonalander2. Moonlander2 reward is relatively down possibly because the reward from pool is less than full node. Out of 90k NENG, 60k came from 1 full node, 30k came from pool.

1st v1.5.x benchmark - phone vs computer vs USB ASIC
24 hours Mining Reports


Last 24 hours was more of normal mining day, the block time was maintained around 40 seconds to 1.3 minutes per block. Base diff was 3 unchanged.

Here is my android phone vs computer first real benchmark on v1.5.x, both computer and android used same flag in cheetah:

python main.py --interval 10 --cpu 6 for phone

python main.py --interval 10 --cpu 1 for linux in virtualbox old PC

• 4 core android phone (8 cpu total, used 6 ) : 100,000 NENG
• 1 cpu Linux in old PC in virtualbox of windows10: 40,000 NENG
• USB ASIC (moonlander2) on two rotating full nodes: 220,000 NENG

The android phone beat 1 cpu linux handsomely on reward. This is similar to summer of 2020 on v1.4.x at beginning of phone mining. So far this v1.5.x android phone mining 2.0 looks great. Particularly considering the fact that USB ASIC solo miner only obtained 220k reward during same 24 hours.

Today is day of Dogecoin!

I changed our slogan to "Nengcoin - Dogecoin on Steroid".  Let's see how it goes.

Congratulations for the Dogecoin super performance today. Dogecoin was way undervalued days before.

I come up with new slogan for Nengcoin:
Nengcoin is Dogecoin on steroid!
Both Dogecoin and Nengcoin are scrypt, Both were never hacked by 51% attacked, will never be in my opinion.
Nengcoin is Dogecoin on steroid because NENG is scrypt coin minable in computers and android phones. NENG is a super version of Dogecoin. Also because Nengcoin has much upside because Nengcoin is 60 thousand times cheaper than Dogecoin!

Please note the sharp sell off in Dec 2020 was due to last minutes big sell off at very low price because of NewEnglandcoin (NEWE) delisting. Instead of withdrawing all NEWE, some traders decided to sell off NEWE at low price instead while Nengcoin (NENG) was trading at much higher price.

Nengcoin (NENG) rose 5x against Dogecoin in 2020. NENG is scrypt coin minable on android/CPU/GPU/ASIC. Both NENG and DOGE are scrypt coin never hacked by 51% hackers. But NENG is 60,000x cheaper on market cap

Cminor has fixed pool issue,  Now Cminor is on correct nengcoin chain even though the name is still Newenglandcoin

Nengcoin block explorer issue
Nengcoin explorer is slow to catch up because database fresh updated from start re-syncing. However, the node behind the block explorer site ( http://nengexplorer.mooo.com:3001/ ) is already updated to latest block. To know the last block , you can check the right bottom corner of block explorer page as shown in below screen shot:

As shown above, the explorer page on chrome browser says the total block count is 2,356,011 with 30 full nodes connections.

Also the block explorer difficulty display on the top is also latest to newest Nengcoin block.

Base Diff reset to 0.000244, boom for GPU/USB ASIC solo miners
Possibly because of hard fork today, base difficulty of Nengcoin just reset to almost zero at 0.000244 diff. Another boom for GPU/USB ASIC on solo mining mode.

Attached screen shot below just shows my ccminer on GPU solo mining setup on GTX 1050 card, several blocks in a few minutes of mining Nengcoin (NENG):

All the mining pools are on old NewEnglandcoin chain

Just checked and found all the mining pools are on old newenglandcoin chain. They are no longer valid on Nengcoin, please do not mine at pools until they upgrade the wallet to NENGcoin v1.5.x version

Nengcoin Hard Forked at block number  2354921

Block number  2354921 is the last block the Old NewEnglandcoin share the same block as Nengcoin.  After that, old NewEnglandcoin no longer can sync to Nengcoin block chain. Here is details of block info that Hard fork happened today:

NENG base diff just reset, boom for GPU/USB ASIC miners
NENG base difficulty just reset to close to zero. Another boom for GPU/USB ASIC solo miners

base diff shallow reset, boom for USB ASIC solo miners
base diff just did a shallow reset to 0.044 earlier today. This is too high diff for an average GPU solo miners. But this is boom for USB ASIC on solo mining modes such as Futurebit Moonlander2 USB on two rotating nodes.

cheetah_cpuminer v1.3.0 released - fixed timestamp attack
This new version is released at cheetah_cpuminer at:https://github.com/ShorelineCrypto/cheetah_cpuminer

This new version of cheetah_cpuminer allows all cpu miners on android phones, computers, chromebook tablets to get a share of mining rewards when a big CPU miner attacks NENG with timestamp.

If your computer, chromebook, android phone already has a version in running, you can do below to upgrade:
(1) kill your cheetah CPU miner
(2) delete old cheetah_cpuminer software, re-download software
(3) restart cpuminer as before.

For android phones or linux, you can do below as easy upgrade using git command:
(1) step one: Ctr-C to kill the running cheetah_cpuminer
(2) under the folder "cheetah_cpuminer" or cd to it if not in that folder:
$prompt: cd cheetah_cpuminer
$prompt: git pull
(3) restart cheetah_cpuminer as before.
