Correct, simply by holding your NEO in an address you control (or on the binance exchange) you will get the ONT airdrop.

NEO-GUI is official wallet from official NEO Website https://neo.org/download so should be no problem with receiving ONT airdrop 👍

make sure you have private key to your Neo wallet, safer than leaving your coins on exchanges

Are there any details known on how they will distribute? Do you need to apply?

Airdrop ratio: Each NEO will get 0.2 ONT (50% of which are freely tradable and the other 50% are automatically locked).
The snapshot of NEO addresses will be done at block height 1974823, which is estimated to be at March 1st, 2018, around 5:00 am (Pacific Time).
Delivery of the first ONT tokens will be completed in the weeks following March 1 (0.1 ONT per NEO). The other locked half (0.1 ONT per NEO) will be using the same snapshot, but will instead be airdropped on the Ontology MainNet. Ontology MainNet is expected to be released in Q2, 2018, specific date depends on how the Ontology TestNet is operating. Further details will be released.

yes there is perfect logic, dumping the margin positions, stop losses triggered etc etc,...each fork or airdrop is usualy pumped then dumped, but dont woory if you are a hodler.

one question: ontology snapshot is today at approx. 6 pm cet time, but why is the neo price tanking so hard right now? i want to change everything in neo, but the price is dropping. any logic behind that?

But the second portion we get after the release of Ontology MainNet in Q2 2018.

I have seen that before. Unfortunately you will have to delete everything except your wallet file and resync from scratch. You cannot keep any of the blockchain files.

Hello I recently switched from antshares wallet to neo wallet and had to sync hole blockchain again. I was almost finished but got a blue screen so my pc was abruptly shut down. After restarting the neo gui wont open again I reinstalled the wallet and replaced all the files but it still wont open. Normally I would delete all the files in roaming except the wallet.dat but since neo works a bit different I am confused what to do now. Does anyone has a suggestion? Thanks

i think tomorow, but it wont affect price much, BIT will in a bigger way, if BITS going to 136K-16.6K, then NEO will shoot to tha moon.

You should take every possible outcome in very short termed view. It can go either way and will be many situation sometimes upwards, other times downwards or sideways but long term holders are the real winners in life changing projects like Neo. Keep eye on big picture to stay strong.
